  1. I like the ones that yell at others to take their hats off. Yelling during the anthem isn’t disrespectful as well?
  2. I’m good with this too. Personally, I file this whole thing under “it only bothers you if you let it” category. In fact, that’s how I file most things these days.
  3. Kneel, don’t kneel, whatever. Play the damn song and kick the damn ball off.
  4. Oh good, the “feature the fullback” offense. *yawn*
  5. Ever see a guy say goodbye to a shoe?
  6. Because not all of us signed up for the, ahem, “mafia”.
  7. Been wanting to go to a CFL/Hamilton game for quite a while. This looks like the year.
  8. I went to a Destroyers game way back when, it was cheap fun and entertaining.
  9. They stopped getting any and all of my clicks after publishing that softball interview with OJ. It was distasteful, to say the least, to give that attention whore an audience.
  10. Lol, did they also bone porn stars while their wife was at home nursing a child? Point being, sweeping generalizations (right v. left and so on) are never accurate, and I can’t stand when they get thrown around in either direction. Yes, the Left is the root of lack of morals, while we have a sitting Righty president embroiled in porn star payoff scandals. So very pious. It’s OK when it’s “your team”, but simply unacceptable when it’s the “other side”. Weak.
  11. Lol “I moved on her like a b*tch but I couldn’t get there. And she was married.” “I did try and f**k her. She was married.” -45
  12. Well the little things are starting to happen, the Robert Moses coming out between the state park and whirlpool park will be huge for routing traffic through the city. The new hotels cannot be ignored either, huge improvement. Community Beer Works is coming to Niagara Street, I give them credit for taking the chance. Nad yes, NF Ontario is all a front, no doubt. Walk a mile in any direction from Clifton Hill and it starts to look like the NY side.
  13. Yes the hotels have certainly crossed my mind. But my ‘vibe’ was kinda in the vein of ‘upscale dive’, as in approachable unique fare at approachable prices. Somewhere between “gastropub” and “corner bar”. I don’t know if that would translate in a hotel setting, but could certainly be tweaked. I’ll DM you in a bit to share some of my concepts, would love your feedback.
  14. Yep, my family had a successful bar business in NF since the 1960s, even survived “urban renewal” in the 70’s and relocated from Falls street to Pine Ave. for another 30 years. Had to let it go around ‘06. The neighborhood got so bad, the business became unviable. Very sad. Part of me really wants to carry that torch. I actually had a nice business plan for a downtown NF bar, complete with Falls theme cocktails and food menu. But what is there after tourist season? No way you can count on the local market to carry you in the offseason, especially downtown. There is nothing else there but trouble. Sad, really.
  15. Such a shame. The entire city. Especially when you see other little burbs that don’t get 9 millions visitors a year bouncing back a bit(N. Tonawanda and Lockport downtown areas are rapidly improving as far as bars/restaurants, theatres and shops). My family roots on both sides are in NF, and I do still love the city and the Falls themselves. It’s tough to see and tough to accept that change may never come.
  16. Ha. Same, except it was statistics class. Prof day one: “This is not a math class”. Prof, also day one: “Here’s a bunch of math”.
  17. Absolutely right on. My other favorite take on this subject is “well there’s no easy answer, so let’s do nothing”.
  18. This is the correct wing choice
  19. Ha! Gotta milk that ancient glory. Milk it til it’s dry. Zzzzzzzzzzzz.
  20. Yeah good question, I had honestly completely forgotten all about that play.
