you can be smart and it can still happen. humans are a strange bunch. to be jilted towards an entire group is just strange to me, and say more about that person than the group they're concerned about.

i've put these fingers in a few places i'm not proud of... very true as i completely forgot about the hip issues.

it's been weird. the last couple of days it was in the 80s. it just rained, dropped into the 60s, now back into the 70s. it's all over the place, but we had a number of days in may in the 80s...which is not typical around here.

oh i get it. i use the season to feel less depressed about the summer being over. something to look forward to kind of a thing. i just hate the western ny winters so much that i have to cherish every day that's nice and sunny.

i mean...even if someone didn't like flutie personally, (which is kinda strange) so bit it, but i don't know how anyone can argue that rj was better for the team. flutie just ran the offense better. he certainly wasn't a permanent solution, but that year he was the best solution. flutie didn't divide the locker room...terrible ownership did.

absolutely. i'm going completely off the top of my head, but that year rj started and was 0-3. when flutie took over the same team, he won the next 4 games. they included miami and the undefeated jags. i was living in boston at that time, and pats fan were more interested in the bills than their own team. like flutie or not, he was the reason they were competitive and the reason any really cared about the bills that year.

for the love of god...don't wish the summer away.

the place i like to go to has 10 wings for 18 bucks. at the same place you can get a really good burger and fries for $16. it's getting hard to justify wings. i've just started making them on a cast iron skillet in my pizza oven. they're amazing. i'm not sure how well it works on the grill, but try rolling them in vegetable oil.

it's a very specific, uninteresting schtick he has. if the bills do something positive...hold up! we just don't know how it will work out, followed by a list of reasons why it may not work out. if another team does something positive...hold up again! bills fans better start worrying about the new development. i mean what is this...the 4th year in a row he's done this with miami alone?

oh no doubt. that's a great question, and i haven't read through the thread, so i'm no sure if it was figured out. i'm all for a drastic increase in security at schools. i think it's the first immediate step any building can make. i know budgets will be an issue, but come on.

i mentioned this is the shout box yesterday...my kid's school was forced into a shut down as well earlier in the morning. they had someone very suspect on their campus, so they locked all of the kids in classroom bathroom for 20 minutes while the teacher blocked the door. an hour or two later, the shooting began, so parents panicked. it's a small, open air catholic school with no real security. now it's a fear. the local sheriffs were there all afternoon, and all this morning for drop off. all of the kids will be escorted to their rooms, and the sheriffs will remain for the day. i'm someone who moves on quickly from news like this, but i lost sleep last night. i have no idea if the guy was just a random, or truly scoping out the place. to have to even consider this is disgusting. what's the solution. there isn't an easy one. mental health is the biggest cause and we all know there's no easy answer to that problem. should schools be completely enclosed where you can't even get on the lot without clearance. i have no idea.
