  1. i don't think this has ever been said, or is it true. the team this year is not the final product. you and i may not agree with how things have been done up to this point, but it's very much a work in progress. if you want to argue that this won't work at all, i get that, but this year just isn't indicative of what this staff wants. we knew this team wasn't playoff bound this year. if the bills end up winning 6 or 7 games, you watch...people will still complain that we didn't lose enough and get the better draft pick. this year is not for the weak hearted, but i certainly don't think we'll see a squad like this next year.
  2. dude, you've been trying far too hard here. you're the exact person i'm talking about. a respected player for years on this team states the locker room is fine, but since it doesn't fit in with you being wildly upset, it can't be true. boldin was complete done as was davis. if they were playing for superbowl contenders would they stay? likely, but both very much new what was going on with the bills, and both were hitting their physical wall. to even bring up incognito is trying too hard. i get it. you're upset. look at things a bit logically here. what happened on sunday was a black mark on davis, not the bills. if you can't see that, that's because you don't want to. see...it's like you just can't wait for it to happen. so you don't think wood would speak his mind?
  3. i don't think players quitting on the coaching is a narrative is all except for here. right now, people are so into looking for the bad on this team, that they'll run with any scenario. is it weird that davis quit at halftime? sure. is there something bigger going on than him hitting a wall? probably not. that's because it's absolutely a davis issue.
  4. i'm a godfather to one niece and nephew, and i will always see them a lot, so i will be active in their lives. i think it's luck of the draw in that regard. my wife's family, (and i'm sure many others) have it so the god parents are the ones who take the child if something happens to the actual parents. for our first, i wanted my only sibling, (my brother) to be the godfather. my wife was bent out of shape because she wanted her sister to be the godmother, and they would be the ones taking the kids. long story short, my brother was the godfather.
  5. it won't be just cap space. it will be cap space, draft picks, and development of the young guys that will hopefully drag the bills out of this hole. this team will looks quite a bit different next year.
  6. i wonder what you really have going on in there. i think i'm going to get some insight from you, but they tend to be just nothing, snarky posts. i know you have something good to say...just waiting to hear it.
  7. exactly. he could have quietly told the coaches something was up, stand on the sidelines for a bit, and announce it after the game. he'll unfortunately be remember in a large part for this. it's very popular to pile on the bills now. i get it, but this one is on davis.
  8. i find that's a life thing, not necessarily having to do with football.
  9. so...do people just enjoy getting together and acting like sad sacks in a thread like this? what's the appeal here? i remember the browns being in a similar situation a few years ago, (minus having the qb in place) and everyone saying they would love to be in that position. well...here we are. i don't know how this will turn out, but i think we all had a fairly good idea this was coming. i didn't think it would be this bad, but still not a shocker.
  10. this is a good question.
  11. But still isn’t quite ahead of the floss. Give it time.
  12. The cool thing to do would have been retiring at halftime.
  13. it's a patience issue, and i get it. i don't want to sit through a bunch of losses this year, but we all knew it was coming, and instead of getting excited to B word about it, i'm just dealing with it like an adult. we're all here for the ride. i don't know if it will actually improve this team in the future, but unfortunately this is part of it.
  14. it is a little much that people keep going here. the ravens certainly didn't back off in the second half of that game. the bills improved somewhat in the second half of the chargers game. it's ok to see that happen and not **** all over it.
  15. yes. more tds would be nice. it might take a rookie qb developing to see more of those.
  16. not at all. i don't expect many wins, but as others have mentioned, i do at least expect this team to put up a fight. it seemed to happen a bit in the second half yesterday, so i'd like to see if it carries over.
  17. some fan are absolutely loving this.
  18. same here. what happens this season really doesn't phase me at all. just let the young guys develop.
  19. two games in and people are already impatient with rookies. awesome.
  20. Development is going to take time and that’s ok. Rich Gannon gave such a great analogy to being a new qb. He equated it to being a new driver. At first, you’re just so concerned with the car in front of you. After a while, you start noticing the car in front and back of you. As time goes on, you notice the car getting ready to turn left, the pedestrian crossing the road, and are anticipating what the traffic around you is doing. It takes game time/driving time to figure it out.
  21. i was still on!
  22. connect the dots bitches. connect the dots.
  23. i hope you guys don't talk about me like this when i'm not here.
