  1. Sorry if I don’t worry about 2 crappy players wanting out. Bogosian is washed up. I doubt anyone even wants him for free. And ERod is making $2M and he hasn’t scored a goal since March. He has a whole 3 points this season and is a dime a dozen AHL/NHL tweener. Maybe they should focus on actually doing something on the ice to earn playing time instead. IMO Krueger is in the right not playing them. And I doubt many GMs are willing to even take these 2 players. At best what can we hope for, taking back another similarly crappy player on a similarly bad contract?
  2. Why do you say they quit on Krueger? I feel like we must be watching different games or something, because I definitely haven’t seen the players quit on him. I saw them mentally collapse again, but that’s much different than quitting on the coach.
  3. I figured when Allen was fired that Rivera would play a big role in picking the new GM (or team president, or whatever they call the role in Washington...). I think that’s one of the things that made the job attractive to him (we know it wasn’t Snyder. lol)
  4. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/12/31/j-j-watt-fires-up-teammates-with-speech-tuesday/ ‘J.J. Watt fires up teammates with speech Tuesday’ Watt was added to the active roster today.
  5. What an aggravating loss. They blew a 3 goal lead and let Tampa score 4 unanswered goals. This team is so damn fragile sometimes. This could have been a big win as win as far as the playoff race, with Florida losing tonight and Montreal currently losing with a few mins left in the game. We could have made up some ground. But, nope. I know I’m just kidding myself about the playoffs anyway. They aren’t making it this year, so whatever.
  6. Crazy how much the Haslam’s changed their thinking in just a few short weeks. Just 3 weeks ago it was reported that they wanted to stick with Freddy Kitchens for at least another year. That they knew there’d be growing pains with a rookie HC and that a 7-9 record was considered a very realistic and acceptable possibility (by the owners, GM etc) at the start of the season. And 3 games later, now they’ve completely cleaned house. Not just the coach, but the GM as well.
  7. What a total mess the Browns are under Haslam. Poor Cleveland fans... They need to pick a damn plan already and just stick to it. You'd think they would know by now that constant turnover at HC and GM doesn’t work. The owner needs to set a course and actually stick to it. He keeps letting different people get in his ear and change his mind every year or two. If he wants to follow Depodesta’s plan, then put him in power and give him a chance to execute his vision. I don’t know how well it will be received in NFL circles. But it’s better than letting him sabotage whoever is hired next... I thought the browns had finally found some stability when they hired Dorsey and he brought in some top level front office talent. But, nope. Here we are what, 2 years later (after Hue was forced on Dorsey the 1st year iirc). How can someone be so good at running one business that they make billions at it, and so utterly incompetent at running another business? I know the NFL is not a typical business, but name me any company that could survive, let alone thrive, if they just continually fired everyone every year or two and changed their vision+plans. At some point you need some continuity if you ever want to build anything...
  8. I’ll bet McDermott’s season here in Buffalo + being a legit candidate for coach of the year went a long way in helping Depodesta win that power play.
  9. Huh. I thought he added quite a bit of talent in a very short amount of time, especially considering the talent level of that team when he took over. I know theres more to building a football football team than just acquiring talent. But I’m still a bit surprised. I felt like Dorsey at least brought some respectability back to the Browns. I mean, people were talking about them going to a freaking super bowl ffs. ?
  10. I’m hoping we don’t lose him. It seems like he’s been good for Josh Allen. He’s making progress and I’d prefer not to disturb that. It’s far from a guarantee that the next OC will be as good/better for Allen’s development. And ill be pissed if the friggin Browns steal another promising coordinator away from the Bills just to fire him 1-2 seasons from now (like with Pettine, who shouldn’t have been fired). Personally, I think they need a veteran coach. The Browns organization isn’t a very good place for on the job training. They don’t seem to provide their coaches with the resources to grow on the job, and I think the Haslam’s have shown that they’re not willing to live with the growing pains that come with rookie head coaches. I don’t think this is the right job for Daboll... But, reading that Haslam and Depodesta are (supposedly) leading the search, I fully expect them to do something totally unexpected.
  11. I don’t know why so many are rooting for Daboll to be hired away and for Josh Allen + the offense to have to start from scratch with a new playbook/system, instead of being able to hit the ground running in year 2/3 of Daboll’s system. Isn't Josh Allen’s growth the main priority right now? And don’t most of us agree that he’s trending in the right direction and took some nice steps forward in his development this season? Well, how many times has he credited Daboll with being a huge help to his development? I think Allen’s continued growth is what makes this offense better, not necessarily a new OC. It’s not like Daboll wasn’t getting guys open. He obviously has room to improve as a play caller, but I expect him to continue to grow into that role. He’s young still, he’s smart, he’s willing to adapt and is open to player input. He also has tons of knowledge of many positions on both sides of the ball (having coached so many positions) that seems to be helping Allen with reading defenses and other nuances of playing QB. Id much rather have continuity on offense entering next season. Daboll has almost an entire new starting offense this year. I’d like to see what they could do with a 2nd year. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side.
  12. It had to happen, but I still feel for all these guys and their families (especially the kids). Lots of people’s entire lives will be uprooted today. I know it comes with the job and these guys are well compensated, but still...
  13. Definitely seems like a subtle shot at Allen/Darnold/Palmer to me. Baker doesn’t seem humble enough to train with someone like Palmer anyway, and have him critiquing every throw. Plus, it would probably interfere with Baker’s TV commercial shoot schedule. I mean, how is he going to film 17 new commercials if he’s out in Cali training all summer...? ?
  14. I’m guessing that he’s going to get to pick his own GM, or possibly even have some personnel control. Im also assuming (from what Rivera said he was looking for in a new job) that he got some assurances from Danny boy that he will be given full reign to change the culture in that building. Personally, I think he’s nuts going to work for Dan Snyder. But he could be great for that organization if Snyder doesn’t get in the way... (doubtful)
  15. I have a netgear nighthawk too and agree with everyone saying they love it. It’s just a single WiFi unit, not a mesh network. We have 2 phones, 4 tablets, Xbox, PlayStation, firestick, laptop, smart TV and a blue ray that streams on another TV, all connected to the WiFi. I get much better internet speeds vs. my previous WiFi. It also covers my house much better than my old linksys WiFi did, and I get consistently high WiFi speeds everywhere on my property. It’s located at the front of the house and I usually get 120mbps internet speeds on the 2nd floor at the back of the house, or even out in my garage.
  16. I thought that once again, Buffalo was the better team. Boston just has more talent. That was the difference. The sabres controlled the play for large stretches of the game. They made a couple mistakes and it ends up in the back of our net. That’s the difference. Boston has the talent to capitalize on those mistakes. Buffalo almost has to play a perfect game against the top teams in the league (like Boston) to get the win. The wins might not be there at at the moment, but if they keep playing the way they’re playing now, the wins will eventually come. At least they are entertaining to watch though. That’s a huge improvement over years past (sadly...). People just watching the score board only see the losses and miss all of the areas that this team is improving under Krueger.

  18. Jets likely win this game but I wouldn’t be feeling too good about it if I was a Jets fan. They’re barely eking out a win against our 2nd and 3rd string players, and against our backup QB who’s playing awful.
  19. Chargers making things interesting. KC 24 - LA 21 with 3 minutes to go.
