LeSean McCoy wants to retire an Eagle
BillsFan4 replied to sunshynman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And that’s why he was cut when it became clear that he wasn’t going to be the clear cut #1 RB anymore. I hold no grudge against McCoy. No issue with his time here. He was a star for the Bills for a while there. Super fun to watch. I totally understand why he wants to retire an Eagle. -
Buffalo will probably never be high on the list of Diva-type star players looking for fame and “big city living” (lots to do off the field and a crazy nightlife scene like in NYC or Miami, etc). But that’s ok. With this new regime in town I feel pretty good about being able to sign the guys they drafted (they don’t seem the type to want to run away from Buffalo 1st chance they get) as well as being able to attract the type of free agent players they are looking for. Also, With the type of team they want to build, IMO Buffalo actually gives them a bit of a unique advantage. They can build a team filled with players who truly want to focus on football (because they aren’t signing here for the nightlife), and it also makes it easier to build a team atmosphere where guys become closer friends by hanging out with each other more often off the field (in part because there’s not a million other things they could/would be doing, like in big cities).

Oh boy. I was wondering if they’d call up Hammond or Johansson. Johansson has been the better goalie and has definitely earned it. The only reason I thought they might call up Hammond is due to his NHL experience. Well... here’s to hoping that Johansson goes on some crazy “Hamburglar” type run (like the other Amerks goalie, Andrew Hammond, did during his rookie season in Ottawa)

Yeah I was just coming to correct that. Meant Nick Caserio.

For real? When I read the thread title I totally thought you were just messing around Yolo. ? wtf has this guy done to keep getting more and more power in the Texans organization? I thought they were were waiting for Charlie Casserly’s contract to expire in May... (edit, meant Nick Caserio)

Browns hire Kevin Stefanski as HC; Andrew Berry as GM
BillsFan4 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was going to say the same thing. They Have To give them Time. Otherwise it Will fail. Again. They have the youngest GM in the league and a total rookie at HC (who’s barely even called plays). They are going to need some patience. But I’m not sure the Haslam’s have it in them. We will see, I guess. If they do actually end up firing this new crew again after 1-2 years, I honestly hope that every damn coach/exec turns down an interview w/the Browns. seriously, the haslam’s have owned the team 8 years and in that time they’ve had 7 coaches and 6 GMs. -

I don’t blame him at all. He is supposed to be one of the most respected AGM’s in the NFL. With Haslam’s track record of soliciting advise from everyone he talks to and abruptly changing his mind on a whim + firing everyone, why would a top candidate go there until Haslam proves he’s willing to stick with a plan for more than 1-2 years? I pretty much expect the Browns to be perpetually starting over again every 2 years until they prove otherwise. -
Antonio Brown: Apology Tour - Preparing for return?

I really hope this guy gets the help that he so clearly seems to need. -
They actually played a pretty damn good game outside the first 7(ish) minutes and the last 7(ish) minutes. Nashville came out strong, but then Buffalo pushed back. It went back and forth. 1-0 Sabres. 1-1 preds. Then that killer PP goal with 6:30 remaining in the 3rd. Buffalo was struggling leading up to that Nashville PP and just never seemed to recover. Yeah I’m looking forward to seeing what they can do after the all star break, especially if they get Skinner back right after the break and hopefully Olofsson back in early Feb (if not sooner!). They definitely have the opportunity to stay in the playoff race. I still don’t expect them to make it, but if they can even stay in the race till the end I’ll consider it a pretty nice step forward for this team. As you said they usually fold like a cheap tent (and we have many of the same players as last year so I don’t know how high I should have my hopes). I’m going to a couple home games coming up after the break. I hope I don’t regret it... lol
