it’s real! this is by far the longest I can remember going without watching an NHL game. I can’t wait for hockey to be back! 2 weeks until the season starts! although with 5+ games pretty much almost every week and a brutal division, I wonder how quickly I’ll get sick of watching them lose... 😂 (kidding, sort of).

Ridiculous!!!

yeah I found a game replay and watched that play. Hunt did pick up the 1st. I’m not sure what the announcers were referring to when he said he might have been short. I tuned into the play late so I only caught part of what he was saying. I’m thinking maybe he was referring to it looking like Mayfield was short of the 1st down before he fumbled (not that it mattered).

Did the browns even pick up the 1st down after the fumble? I only saw the bit of the game they showed on NFL network game day live. I thought the announcers said that they would have still come up short for the 1st down? Or did I not hear correctly?

Looks like the Jets win! With the Jaguars loss today I believe that officially closes the door on the #1 pick for the Jets, right?

Gruden deserved to lose that game for that stupid stunt at the end. Jacobs could have scored a TD twice, but Gruden wanted to run the clock and kick a field goal, which only put them up by 2pts.

now it feels real. what a brutal schedule though. Look how many games they play in January. Jan. 14, 15, 18, 19, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 31. talk about jumping right back in!

All that optimism I had from signing Taylor Hall is already starting to fade... though, who knows. A hot start this year could go a long ways in securing a playoff spot.

Yeah I saw that live. I knew they’d get the job done after that. I was like “ok, these guys are really locked in and motivated to win the division tonight!”

Everyone saying Daboll may decide to stay if offered a head coaching job: I know he’s from Buffalo but I don’t see it happening. He went for the Cleveland Browns job last offseason and never pulled his name from the running (as some others did) even as the search dragged on into the offseason. I remember being somewhat annoyed (especially when I heard he was under serious consideration for the job), saying that it’s getting tougher and tougher to replace him if he leaves because everyone else hired their head coaches and started filling out their staffs. It looked to me like he would have taken the Cleveland job if offered. I don’t see him turning down a head coaching opportunity. But it’s not worth worrying about unless/until it happens.

He most likely wouldn’t, unless he aspires to be a head coach one day. But that still doesn’t stop me from wishing/hoping he would (if Daboll left for a head coaching job, that is).

Yeah we are in a brutal division. They’ll have to finish among the top 4 teams to make the playoffs. Tough, but not impossible. I think they can fight for that #4 spot.

If we lose Daboll, I’d do whatever I could to get Tony Romo to come in as OC. Maybe his newly formed relationship with Josh Allen could be a draw? Im still hoping we can keep Daboll though. But if he gets offered a HC job, he’s most likely going to take it. It seemed like he was ready to take the Cleveland job last offseason (if it was offered to him). I don’t see why this offseason would be any different.
