Ummm basham and AJ were 7th rounders? Zack moss? Fromm? He spent a fourth round pick on a quarterback whos not back up level brown? His résumé in the second and third round is not that inspiring He’s definitely not terrible…he’s solid… But if it’s Beane or McDermott I’m taking McDermott
-
His first few drafts started solid and then it may have tapered in 20 and 21 epensesa while not a total bust hasn’t lived up..moss was jag… Fromm sucks…Hodgins did nothing here 21- boogie hasn’t done much…brown has potential but done not much … Doyle non existent… Stevenson nope, wildegoose nope He does seem to find solid defensive backs late

I mean Whaley was the GM.. and they certainly didn’t scrap his reports of players But he was also basically on the way out according to most around the NFL He was fired along with scouts immediately after the draft…. He didn’t have much say … with how it played out What he did have was tons of valuable information on a lot of prospects… You can’t cut him and the scouts loose before the draft and then have him serve all that information up to other people You use his information and the information you got from Carolina and there scouts and make picks accordingly No way a sitting duck actually selected the players also news from Carolina was that they were big on Dawkins and McDermott used that to jump in front of them

Beane has a much more up and down record than McDermott his job is saved by drafting Allen …. He didn’t draft the cornerstones of Dawkins , Milano , and Tre white … 2 all pros and a pro bowler … that was McDermott who also took us to the playoffs with a bottom 3 roster

They don’t have a specific wide receiver scout …. Not how it works

Well 3 more years on top of 4 is 7 years which is an incredible career for a RB which is 2.5 years
-
He ain’t done but he doesn’t have the pop or burst anymore he’s literally a solid 4 yards a whack and fall forward every time which is valuable … doesn’t fumble.. valuable just won’t hit even 40 yarders anymore
-
That would be awesome but I don’t think it’s gonna happen logistics … no more scholarships… need to release a guy

Most coaches hire coaches that they are familiar with or worked with It’s putting your job on the line to hire somebody that you don’t know how they actually work day to day -
NFL Head Coaches who also were their teams defensive play callers:

Kiko Alonso’s career was average player around the league … I never had him in some super high regard Unbiased… The dude got off to a crazy 8-10game streak here… Hit a wall Never reached the same level and tore his ACL We traded him for LeSean McCoy who had a much better bills career then Kiko… Kiko was cut from the Eagles Got embarrassed by the bills when he was with the dolphins The dude had the potential for a great career but didn’t have it -

I think the difference with josh compared to a lot of the other physically impressive beasts , who didn’t process it the greatest …. is the actual shunning of his football skills coming out of HS Which made him work even harder Guys like Jamarcus Russell were blessed with immense gifts but also were highly sought after at every age … highly praised and always dominated and sometimes that also stunts a young man’s work ethic … always dominating and not having much adversity I think Josh is in a rarified air of QBs with supreme gifts and the ability to see the game that will only get better with time -
Absolutely he made some decisions that had to be made his last few drafts will be up for debate … it’s too early to completely judge
-
Beane is good but far from perfect He literally didn’t draft Tre , Dawkins or Milano … cornerstones … hitting on Allen IS his godsend he’s made head scratcher’s and good decisions
-
That doesn’t make a better roster lol Poyer was a 3rd tier FA that got put into the best spot to succeed by coach McDermott wrex had Mario and Hughes and Kyle and Marcell… Sammy , Percy , bob woods , goodwin McDermott had stone hands zay jones, Deontae Thompson, Popeyes kelvin benjamin, and Andre Holmes … and an aging shady talent difference was crazy
-
Rex had a much better roster lol and the culture change ….. wrex had a clown show

Drinking and driving? Absolutely

Brian Daboll was fired from 3 jobs as a coordinator and wasn’t part of McDermotts 1 year playoff turnaround with one of the worst nfl rosters dont act like Daboll is head and shoulders above McDermott

Fraziers Play calling did change drastically over five seasons Originally he favored more of a Disguised cover three look on third … It shifted to a Tampa 2 or a cover 4 palms … but by the middle of last year Fraser did like press man on third down That may have been McDermitt telling him to get more aggressive… But even in the playoff game he was 10 yards back I think Sean will prefer press man on third downs In tight situation… Where Frasier Would usually revert back to his combination coverages
