If you think that the last 5 months have completely transformed him, we don’t agree. I don’t even believe that the Bills conditioning program is better than. Alabama’s.
I'm beginning to think we may just never agree on this topic
Yes I believe 6 months of practicing against other NFL players day in and day out have prepared him better than a bunch of guys playing against other college players all year long. And he wasn't elite today, he made plenty of rookie mistakes. He also had 4 other NFL players next to him. They are not even comparable situations to what the Alabama o-line has been doing.

It would be easier to name the players that don't deserve a game ball. Terrelle Pryor and John Miller come to mind. Everyone else played great, pretty much across the board.

Our OL took a massive step forward today. They started a 5th round pick 6 months out of college.
Yep and that 6 months of experience and NFL conditioning was invaluable. Now take 5 guys, even really good NFL prospects, with zero NFL conditioning and put them next to each other tomorrow. They would be erased by any NFL defensive line.

And what that doing for their record?
The #1 defense with an average offense can still be dominant. The problem this season is our offense has been disgustingly bad. Today it was pretty good, not great but pretty good, and combined with a dominant defense it gave us a blowout win.

It's one good game in an otherwise pretty poor NFL career , against a team that seems much worse than the Bills.
Sure but he's only started a total of 6 games in his career, all in 2016. Since this year is meaningless what's the harm in giving him another game and seeing if he is for real? Worst case scenario he sucks and we start Allen the following week. I like Allen but no one is anointing him as the guy yet. We might as well see what we have in Barkley while we can IMO.

There is a very fair argument to be made that Barkley should get the start against Jacksonville. Allen is still raw and could benefit from more time on the bench. Barkley showed he can steer the ship in a meaningless season. We don't know for sure Allen is a franchise QB yet, he hasn't earned the right to replace a QB that played quite well. JMO

Tanking in the NFL does not mean you literally try to lose. You shed overpriced contracts and accumulate draft picks, which leads to a couple bad years. Of course we still game plan and try to win each game, but if you think we are selling out to win with $50 million in dead cap and a rookie QB you're nuts.

The ones that have stayed (not many to even start with) have been boo birds all day. There is a cute blonde in her 30s, in front of me, who sounds like she has smoked a pack of lucky strikes per day since she was three.
She probably isn't a smoker, New Jersey air is just 40% nicotine

Play Allen. This team needs to do one thing the rest of this year ... develop the QB they took 7th overall. Winning would be great but they aren’t making the playoffs.
I hear you but QBs can develop from the bench, like Mahomes and Rodgers.

Peterman might as well just start packing his bags now!
Do you think he can carry them to the car all on his own?

LOL The DB was in way better position and somehow misplayed the ball so badly he let the receiver catch it instead.
Nope that's just how defenses have to play now. You can't touch the receiver before the ball gets there. It is immensely more difficult to defend a pass in the modern NFL - that's why a receiver like Tyreek Hill is blowing up the league instead of ending up on IR. Peterman could have been the beneficiary of these rules but he sucks.

Foster!!
just about every recent move McBeane made is paying off today.
Teller, Foster, McKenzie, Barkley
$50 million is being spent on players no longer on the team. Let's give them some credit for building a working offense out of scraps. Even though it took a little longer than I would have liked.

I genuinely wonder how they will handle this. Barkley is playing really well.

I honestly think that is the best reception a Bills receiver has had all year. Where is @Sky Diver? He can serve me some crow.

I'm really liking McKenzie today. You need players like him.

Teller should have been a starter week one
Offensive linemen struggle as rookies, especially these days. It takes a lot of conditioning to prepare for NFL defensive linemen rushing at you for 2 hours.
