  1. 2 things stood out to me at first Big one is just how much faster and physical Bengals dline played vs our oline and vice versa Second was a result of that and one of the reasons we ended up ditching the run and the pass game got disjointed- we could not run block effectively vs that front and it affected MOF reads due to their LBs not being moved AT ALL when we went playaction these are stills from deep throw to Harty when the score was still 14-7, right before INT. at snap after playaction from drop LBs do not play run keys at all despite being in a 4man front w 6blockers in
  2. again thats not what happened
  3. So I am not a McDermott guy at all but I do think a lot of the guys including Allen (probably not Diggs tho) like and respect him, so that's a reason to not fire him. But IMO you are correct that there are fewer reasons not to do it w each passing season. Chief among them for me is the fact that we are looking at dumping a bunch of old contracts and likely doing a reload on both sides of the ball which would seem like the ideal time to get a fresh voice in there.
  4. Our offense is definitely not vanilla, at least not in pass concepts Both Dorsey and Daboll built top offenses here, and both have struggled w inconsistencies that imo stem primarily from a poor offensive line and lack of skill guys. How much of those issues were a result of having a defensive guy at HC are up for debate I suppose
  5. How many different OCs w similar issues do we need to see
  6. Fox/Kubiak is the shining example of why you dump McDermott imo
  7. Lol yeah it was Manning and it wasn't a promotion from within
  8. Pretty sure this is completely wrong
  9. Guys who can really get open know how to stem off and create separation while the ball is in the air Chase did it very nicely on the ball Burrow underthrew a bit
  10. Pretty sure @HoofHeartedcan confirm this is literally an example of making multiple (2) reads deep/shallow based on safety coming down on crosser or not I mean we have seen Allen hit this throw so many times over his career it's ridiculous to say he doesn't see it, it's been in the playbook for 5 years now
  11. He's been leading the league in CPOE all year by a good margin Not sure why it would be an issue
  12. Pretty sure what this video right here shows you is actually the QB reading safety coming down on Davis and making correct throw to Harty I mean you can see him look to Davis at the top of his drop
  13. Dolphins and Chiefs offenses both under 20points 2 of their last 3 as well, Niners 3/3 it happens
  14. I think it's clear there's been some input at this point
  15. the defense lost 2 all pros, they still have 2 left serious question- how many all pros does the defense need?
  16. ball is out here #94 goes low and waaaay after ball is thrown
  17. Hubbard as well watching on all 22, first drive throw to Diggs from the 20 and hits Allen low at least 2 seconds after ball was thrown
  18. season and last 3 games as well
  19. Bills are 4th in the league in first downs/game
  20. Pretty sure all22 will confirm he was best player on defense yesterday
  21. Those first weeks aren't opponent adjusted either It's been worse than that even
  22. W out looking at all22 for last night yet I would guess it's also a function of matching scheme w personnel Our blitzes in really important moments tend to leave Hyde in man coverage which is going to be a mismatch, just not his strong suit at this point
  23. all22 not up yet but it's telling imo that after both teams' opening drives only one defense was able to adjust to what the opposing offense was doing
  24. we're currently 9th in the AFC rn behind teams like the Browns, Steelers, and Jets this is a below average NFL team at the moment
  25. He's literally at the top of the league in all QB production and efficiency metrics in the very year he runs least
