Mocks without trades are worthless. Of course, mocks with trades are pretty much worthless as well. Amazing how an entire industry has been built on nothing but speculation and hype.
I was expecting by now the bills would have traded into pick 7 or so making the move to 2, 4 or 5 easier. The fact they haven't is pretty concerning and I'm starting to get that sinking feeling they are going to be left on the sidelines when all is said and done. I really want pick 2...whatever the cost. It would be a relief to not have to rely on so many other contingencies.
Draft two QBs with picks 1 and 4...in hopes they both work out so you can then trade one for a first round pick, which probably won't be as high as 1 or 4.
Do I have this right?
If that's the case wouldn't he have said top 4? Since he included six doesn't that mean the Colts are one of the teams? Seeing as they are not drafting a qb what he is saying is 1 team has Rosen off their board. Who cares?
This is increasingly my worry, too. After all this waiting, pondering and anticipation, if the Bills walk away from round 1 with, say, a LB and OL it will be awfully deflating.
I just don't understand all this recent talk of Rosen dropping...it seems to good to be true. I'm expecting the Giants take him. Manning hasn't been good for a number of years.
If he starts to slide - by that I mean not picked in the 1st 5 - then some team may jump up and grab him, which would be dreadful. I don't think the bills can sit at 12 and expect him to be there.
Isn't it pretty much accepted McD was running the draft - Whaley put in the work but no way was he in charge of trades at that point. And it was a brutal return.
