Fitz calls his shot -Update Signed w/Jets
CommonCents replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fitz also had torn ligaments in the thumb on his throwing hand for the Thursday night game. He had surgery the following morning, he injured it a week or two prior in the Oakland game. A little more perspective. -

They were playing with more intensity under Blatt that's all I know, they are undisciplined on defense and dribbling the air out of the ball of offense. If they get swept Lebron is going to be asked a lot of questions. It was nice to return home to Clev I was sold and thought the letter had changed my opinion on him. Nope. He is the same over bearing douchebag who folds up when things aren't going the "kings way". IMO the new kings of the league are the guys who can run a simple pick and roll and shoot 45% from 3 all the while playing defense on the other end of the court.. Lebron, Love, and Irving can all fill up the stat sheet but can they win vs. equal or better talent? I don't know I see a lot of finger pointing. Bottom line if the Cavs don't make this a series people are going to flame LBJ for the cast of players and the dismissal of Blatt. Let's see if they nut up now that they are at home. -
Marrone Mic'd Up at Jags Practice

I don't see anything abnormal, just a positional coach trying to be upbeat around his guy and playing up the mic a bit. Same ole same ole just another member of the boys club. -

The best player in the league that was able to hand pick his surrounding cast and coach is now staring at an 0-2 hole and the biggest point differential through 2 games in Finals history. Also fresh off a game with 7 turnovers, how many minute did he play? Maybe he can sneak Wade onto the court in Clev or he is toast. -

Cavs have no bench, no heart, 3 front runners, and a rookie head coach. I'm curious to how they would have played in a series against the Spurs, OKC, heck Portland looked better against the GS than the Cavs do. Some of its match ups but I'm not going to ignore the fact that the team is flawed and relies on feasting in the east. -
Game of Thrones Part Deax: The Readers Thread
CommonCents replied to Kevin's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I'm hearing that the season finale is going to be the longest episode yet, I know a few years back they had one episode that was an hour an a half. So that would be a bonus. I won't throw spoilers out but if anyone has looked at the title of episode 9 it certainly opens up a ton of possibilities for the elongated season finale which I assume will be episode 10. -
Kyle Williams: Role Model and Leader

Camp is a question, he hasn't been cut (obviously). So he is a lock to make the roster, if they were going to part ways they would have made the move by now. -

The timing of that Love injury is suspect, he just wants to watch GOT. -

Wiggins was highly touted at Kansas, he struggled at times because he was raw but you could see the talent. It was a short sighted move and it will look even worse if they can't win a ring together. I wasn't sold on Love in Minnesota he can do some nice things but he built his reputation by piling up stats on a bad team. He always struck me as soft and has done little to dispel that notion since coming to the Cavs. As a Celtics fan I was happy he didn't end up in Boston, I actually fear that if the Cavs go down hard in the finals that interest may resurface. I understand they wanted to win immediately once Lebron returned and it didn't make sense to develop a wing player while Lebron's prime passes by. However when they sold their soul to get Lebron back they should have shown a little more discipline than going over the top for Love. The pick and more importantly the player had a ton of value, they jumped at the first option for a "stretch four" whom is now losing minutes to Frye. -

I don't think he will have as good of a year as last year but he has a handful of veterans at skill positions he will still put up numbers....until it matters. -
Bills' 2016 Organized Team Activities - Week 3
CommonCents replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think the quote accurately portrays what was said in the interview. He spent most of the interview talking about helping the run game with his blocking and not worrying about what his receiving numbers look like. In the details he sounds like a team first guy. -

His biggest mistake was wanting Love instead of Wiggins. That move is going to hurt the Cavs even after Lebron is gone. -

Yikes. Rex isn't the only coach dropping Dlinemen into short zone coverages. It's something coaches do to confuse the QB and hinder the short passing game. It can work if the rest of the defense knows it's assignments and performs them at an NFL level. The later was the problem last year, any concepts look foolish when you have a bunch of guys failing to line up in the right spots. If they can't even line up are you confident they knew their assignments after the snap? Greg Bedard's not, and he is one of the better guys when reviewing game tape, he also has a familiarity with Rex and he said we weren't even close when asked if we were up to speed. -
It's hard to say CG had a bad season. The majority of what went on infront of him was dysfunctional so it's hard to be critical of a guy who was flying around to clean up the mess. The perfect example of this was the 2nd Pats game when Mario gave the back a free release into the flat and CG came from 25 yards away and missed a touchdown saving tackle.

Boom! That has to be demoralizing getting schooled by the bench in the 4th. -
If I had a few more beers in me I would have mistaken those numbers for his weight.

Fitz calls his shot -Update Signed w/Jets
CommonCents replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Jets are just playing games. Look at this contract offer http://www.newsday.com/sports/football/jets/ryan-fitzpatrick-s-latest-contract-offer-from-jets-three-years-15m-guaranteed-1.11859232 So if Fitz signed that and had another good year for the Jets he would then be under contract for 2 more years at 6 million per. What do they think he is a fool? Did they think he was going to be wowed by the 12 million in year one? If the Jets want him to be a place holder for one year they can simply sign a 3 year deal with Fitz, give him the 12 million in year one and then use the two remaining years too spread out the money. See the contract Revis signed with the Pats, it allows the team to manipulate the salary cap and the player knows fully he will never see year two of the deal. -

Are the Bills really in "Win Now" mode?
CommonCents replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sammy has to remain healthy for 16 games before we can say what he is or isn't. He finished strong last year hopefully this foot injury heals up and he comes back rested and 100 percent. If your going to argue about the 2014 WR draft class I would suggest you include Allen Robinson, he is as good as any and leaps and bounds above the Jarvis Landry, Jordan Matthews, Cooks etc. -
Just an FYI Dana White was just on the Cowherd radio show and said multiple times he is bringing the UFC to Buffalo. He made comments about wanting to tap into the Candian market by bringing it to BLO.

Silly Jets. Posturing like they have any other option but to resign Fitz. He played well for them last season, he gives them a chance. That is more than anyone can say for Geno, Petty, and Hack. Fitz played with torn ligaments in his thumb and had surgery mid season all the while he had a great statistical year. If he didn't get hurt on the first drive in Oakland maybe they don't mail that game in and they end up in the playoffs. I hope they mess this up and let Fitz walk that will make those two games a bit easier.
