  1. We can agree to disagree, the line as a whole is already more than serviceable. The YPC numbers reflect that and Taylor is the king of broken plays. If we had a statue back there throwing lasers I'm all for building that wall. Our QB is at his best when the play is broken. An upgrade at RT, no doubt. The top RT on the market? Hrmm sure if you say so. Is this signing going to allow TT to anticipate his throws from the pocket? Or is the ball still going to come out late after he refuses to throw it and then goes into improv mode?
  2. Follow along slowly Chuck, I said the move would make sense if you had a pocket passer in tow like Romo etc. We don't have that, we can't even find that or make it happen under the cap. I didn't suggest signing him, I said that's what would justify overpaying for a pass blocking RT. The Bouye was in retort to Bandit taking about Gilmore. They both play CB right? I can't stand Gilmore, so I said Bouye. Hint hint they will both likely ink deals that are relatively close in dollars and the point was about positional value. I'm not going to keep going on this, he hasn't even signed and we still don't have an answer on TT. I just would not put enough value on Wagner and fall short at other positions, ecspecially while Taylor is behind that line.
  3. Wagner has ties to the OC so that makes a big money RT a smart decision? That's a bit of a reach. Signing a player that has no relation to the coaching staff is a stretch? I don't see the logic behind any of what you wrote. Sure, Dennison might have a comfort level with Wagner but that isn't going to change the Bills QB situation. It would be a great signing if it didn't mean letting ZB and SG walk out the door just so he can walk in it, unfortunately that is the corner they painted themselves into with bad contracts.
  4. I agree 100 percent, and you know how much I love Gilmore, can I put Bouye's name here!? This move makes sense if you have Romo in tow or ......Glennon. A high priced oline protecting a QB who can't pass from the pocket and around and around weeeeeeee go.
  5. I agree. If they are going to bolster that oline I hope they are putting a pocket passer behind it, otherwise it's a head scratcher.
  6. They have so much flexibility. They could give him a two year deal, he makes one million this year the franchise tag would be 23 million next season. Sit down and give him 2 years for 24 million, you will start once Tom falls off. If BB thinks he is the next long term QB for Patriots they can make that move without blinking.
  7. Cuse vs. Miami at noon. Cuse beat them by 15 in their earlier meeting, Miami is listed as a -1.5 favorite. I don't love it, but I didn't stay home to watch this game so I could chicken out on the spread!
  8. It's AJ Klein. I'd suggest using the search function before firing up new threads. He was the most talked about player once McD was hired, we also have a pinned thread for FA's to keep the clutter down.
  9. Jack Doyle resigns with the Colts. 3 years 19 million. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000791264/article/colts-keep-jack-doyle-on-threeyear-19m-deal
  10. Patriots just placed a first round tender on Butler, 3.9 million bucks. I'm still holding out hope that a team with a late first pays the pick and takes him away from NE.
  11. I jump on Whaley at every chance I get but this is exactly you mentioned with cost/benefit. He invested a 5th rounder in Williams and now the back up running back spot is going to be occupied for peanuts. He is going to recieve that same 5th round pick when Gilly goes elsewhere. That means he paid nothing and now has a guy playing on the cheap whom he hand picked. Now you can say well Gilly averaged 5.7 YPC and played well last season. He did. Who hasn't ran for a solid YPC in Buffalo the past few seasons? Dixon maybe? Karlos had a similiar season to touchdown Mike's 2016. To me anyone that expected/wanted Gilly to get paid in Buffalo should have seen this one coming. Only way that was going down is if Shady was sent packing. As a guy who defends Whaley so often I'm surprised you would think is capable of walking away from Williams so quickly. Don't forget Williams was coming off a major foot injury which cost him his 15' season as a Razorback. Think back to draft day and how many folks loved his vision and footwork once we took a second look. It's not hard to believe that he will serve as an adequate RB in this system.
  12. He just used a 5th rounder last year on Williams, knowing Whaley and his affinity for his picks JWil is the new back up.
  13. Then you would have to pay him more money, the Bills cap situation is a nightmare. It's not a surprise they won't commit dollars to a backup RB.
  14. If they won't marry Kirk they are going to be really disappointed when they jump back into the dating pool. Not that I think he is great but he is certainly capable of putting dinner on the table. Lots of these QB's out here can't cook and won't even wash the dishes after you do the cooking!
  15. Only thing that makes sense to me is that Cousins and the agent had to have said something about never signing there? Maybe he took last year personal and is going to continue to hold their feet to the fire until he finally gets out of there.
  16. They have a ton of available cap space so all the guys who are in the buisness of throwing things at the wall are doing so. I don't see the use for Peterson in NE. I think Bill is going to kill it on compensation picks next year and with his cap space he has them set up to stock pile talent once Brady is toast. Branch Logan Hightower Bennett All guys that will get overpaid and should be favorable to the comp system.
  17. Bortles looked disinterested last season, he has plenty of weapons down there. I hope Marrone can shake him up and make things work. After trading Julius I think it's a safe bet they take a serious look at Marty B.
  18. Didn't know he was in that. I should give Fargo a chance.
  19. Christie is out of line here, I still wish they would hire a kicking coach. Justin Tucker is the only kicker with a personal coach and he is by far the best kicker in the league.
  20. The official legal tampering period begins at noon today.
  21. Django!!!!! Badol's hitting home runs before spring officially begins.
  22. Steven Haushcka is a FA, he is worth a look at the ripe young age of 31.
  23. What about Jessie Plemons, Landry from Friday Night Lights. He is in Breaking Bad, Black Mass and a few other things. He always show up out of no where.
