  1. McKinnon Brown Grant Burton Value shopping.
  2. Season 3 was the worst but 4 was by far the best. If you enjoyed 1 and 2 you should give 4 a chance!
  3. I didn't think you were yelling, it's fine. You keep referring to the 3,000 yard mark so I will do the work for you. In the season he put up 2891 yards 27 touchdowns and 2 picks he only started ten games. He spent the first quarter of that season trying to win the job. I think we can both agree those numbers look a lot different knowing that. You would have a hard time finding anyone to argue in favor of Foles playing outside a specific scheme, again I'm not a Foles fan but I wouldn't hate the move I'd understand it. What is the better option in your opinion?
  4. Still using half of Foles sample size before Reich and Pederson reworked the playbook during the bye week. You can ignore that all you want but that doesn't make an honest conversation. Everyone has the fear of making a move for the next Matt Flynn, we heard all the same things about Jimmy G. after his stint last year. Small sample size, narrow shoulders, injury risk, yards yada. Now the Bills would love to trade away 21,22 for JG. How has Foles been as a QB while running a system that caters to his strengths (RPOs)? How well does he perform his QB duties in the huddle and presnap? Does Daboll have a history of running RPOs similiar to what Foles has done well? Huge upgrade and a match at OC. Jared Goff had 32 completions 25 yards or greater, that is one shy of Big Ben for 9th place. His air yards per completion and per attempt also rank very well. Last I checked they were closer to top 5 than 10. This has been discussed in multiple threads in detail. If you missed it I apologize but until you provide some numbers that offer an explanation for what you wrote then that again is sloppy. I'm not sold on Foles either but no one has made a case why he won't/shouldn't be considered when the OC fits what he does. Assuming Daboll runs what's expected where would you find better value? Using that same first rounder on Jackson/Rudolph? Keenum who folded in the same big games Foles caught fire? Bridgewater a year off of football and an injury risk, and a guy with less success than Nick? Paying Kirk Cousins funny money? In your mind what's the best option? I'd prefer they trade everything and go get Rosen I just don't see it happen. As far as realistic options go I see Foles ranking very high on a short list.
  5. A QB that shined under two different OCs when the play calls were tailored to his strengths is hardly comparable to a CB who had a few passes thrown right as his face mask. That's a reach, a big reach. Talking dollars with Brown against draft capital to acquire Foles who is under contract, I don't see how that example makes a case against Foles. The only relation they have is super bowl MVP. If Daboll loves RPOs as has been suggested Foles should definetly be a consideration depending on his availability. I have no illusions that he is the next Joe Montana but he would be a significant upgrade and depending on how the draft shakes out the Bills could easily be on the outside looking in when the QBs come off the board.
  6. His success came when Reich and Pederson went back and took some things that He ddid well with Chip Kelly and incorporated it into their offense. It is a small sample size but that's worth a mention.
  7. Get click baited into seeing the little man in green tights or into a thread where the poster points to his anonymous source? I want the little guy in tights back.
  8. 2018 Graham or Trey Burton? I'm taking Burton.
  9. Football players don't talk to kickers.
  10. What about those greasy sausage stands?
  11. They have more holes this offseason than they did heading into TC. That's not what we were talking about though. The Pegulas mishandled last offseason that's what we were going on about. I'm happy McBeane is here and I'm sure I have contributed much more discussion relative to team building than you have so I'm not sure why you say "people like you"
  12. The only purpose those two serve for OBD is pushing the rest of the guys down the board. If your saying they had Darnold and Rosen in mind they should have never brought back Taylor. If they trade away a bunch of picks for either one I will eat my words and enjoy it.
  13. Of course it does! They could have stayed and got X which one would he take! We all know who he would take if he is he is willing to trade away 3 1st round picks and a mix of others. That isn't entertaining discussion. Isn't it common knowledge that both Rosen and Darnold are the best two out of the bunch? The rest are all in play. It could work out in the Bills favor, what if he likes Mayfield the best and can trade the firsts this year and get him? If that is how it shakes out then great.
  14. Darnold and Rosen are pipe dreams. Those are the two quarterbacks that stand out from all the others. I don't need to see his grades to understand that. I'd like to see where he has the rest of the guys ranked that would be attainable with the normal use of picks. For instance would he have rather taken Watson/Mahomes at 10 than trade up for Mayfield or wait around for Jackson, Rudolph.
  15. Yes John I want the Bills to have someone in place making decisions on draft day, decisions which includes the QB position. I'm guilty as charged. It's the most important position in sports you can't just differ until next year.
  16. If who was evaluating Taylor? The dead man walking GM or the defensive minded HC or the Pegulas? If your following the conversation people believe that no matter what they weren't going to take a QB at 10. If you can't see how wrong that is I can't help you. It begins and ends with a QB, if the guy is there and you pass on him or trade down and run away from the pick then you screwed up! Lucky for them they drafted White and Watson got hurt. Now they have a chance to find a QB in this draft with Beane on board. I would like to see him rank Watson, Mahomes, Rudolph, Jackson and Mayfield. It won't happen but it's an interesting thought.
  17. Let's just call it the I will pick a QB when I'm ready, not when the opportunity presents itself approach. If you surveyed the leagues owners and asked how many of them would be willing to go into a draft with the QB position scratched off the board how many laughs would you get?
  18. In what world does that logic lend any credibilty towards OBD? If they missed an opportunity on a franshise guy then they screwed up. You can't look back and say well they were going to screw it up anyways and it's all ok!!
  19. That's what I was pointing towards. I disliked Whaley but if the Pegulas felt it right to keep him around then he needed to make the call unless they were allowing McD to make it. You can't go into a draft needing a QB and not have anyone in the room you trust to make the descion when you are in position to actually get one. Thats 100 percent on the Pegulas, I love Tre White and was begging for him before draft day but if either of those QBs become franchise guys then OBD failed us again.
  20. That's a tough sell for OBD. We missed out on the future because...well we weren't ready yet! They needed a QB if McD wasn't given the trust to make the decision and Whaley and his scouts weren't to be trusted then the house cleaning should have happened when Rex was fired. I get it but it's still another mistake from OBD if Watson/Mahomes turn into stars. "We kinda did a half assed overhaul and didn't have anyone in the draft room that could evaluate a quaterback so we are going to let this opportunity pass us by" EHHHH
  21. He also did a solid for BB with Mallet during a TC. A few other things stand out as well. I enjoy listening to Mayock and he has an eye for the game but far from perfect. I guess that is part of the job for guys like him though.
  22. Mayock's biggest weakness is doing favors for players, agents and GMs.
  23. I agree John. If I have to choose between Rudolph, Foles, Jackson and the cost is #22 I'm taking Foles each and every time. I haven't seen a good argument that would explain otherwise. If the cost is multiple firsts or a trade and a 100 million dollar contract then obviously that is a different discussion entirely. Right now Nick Foles for the 22nd pick, lets go. You're correct when you said he would be a huge upgrade over TT. He understands the game at the LOS and if given time he is an above average passer.
  24. Why are people so down on Foles? Doesn't Daboll like running RPOs? Foles has played really well with two different OCs who allowed him to do what he is good at. He is far from a sure thing but then again so are all the kids coming out.
