You couldn't even ask the question right and it's pretty apparent why it took Vander Esch time to get to where he is now. In his high school they played 8 on 8 football, most players played both ways. Not exactly grounds for fine tuning an NFL prospect. He walked on to Boise St. He was redshirted his Freshman year fresh out of his 8 on 8 matchups. His sophomore year he was limited to six games due to injuries. Declared his Junior year, easily a top 40 guy. Rumors before the combine had him as a fit at 14 or 19. It will be interesting to see where he lands.

Uber & Lyft drivers median profit $3.37 per hour

If they don't own their car they are doing even worse. 280 a week around here and then you lose out on the 53 cent per mile tax deductions. I think some people that use the service like to convince themselves that it's good for the drivers. Perhaps so they don't feel the need to tip. Like I said I drove for them and did plenty of research before, during and after. Less than a dollar a mile before operating expenses. That's all that really needs to be said. It's peanuts. -
Uneducated? Wrong? You seem really emotional right now John. Is everything ok? Multiple big names in the media have come out and said the same things about Allen and Jackson. Is this the land of make believe John? Am I to believe you over guys who actually have contacts around the league? Oh I get it Jackson and Allen are so good that teams are already running misinformation so they drop in the draft. I wonder why no one is bashing Rosen, Mayfield and Darnold so they drop. The big advantage GMs have over average fans watching film and grading players is their ability to sit face to face with the players. I have always said that. I believe that is where Whaley and his scouts failed the most. Early results are out and Allen is such a rock that it overshadowed his performance on the field. Jackson is a project at the board http://thespun.com/acc/louisville/lamar-jackson-project-nfl-gm/amp maybe you missed it? I know you can throw it away because it's misinformation right? How many teams met with Lamar Jackson? If he doesn't understand the plays being drawn on a board each and every team already knows. So explain the reasoning behind railroading a young man? Silly fella.

You're not looking for a conversation, you are foaming at the mouth and in love with a player you have probably only watched on highlights reels. Carry on. Lamar won't be coming to Buffalo, I will be waiting for that melt down that will never come because as soon as they draft someone else you will be all aboard that ship!

I don't like Darnold either he looked stiff every time I watched him. Breer does a radio interview on the sports hub, that's where he said it this morning. As good as Allen threw it sounds like he left a lot to be desired in the classroom. Then said if Mayfield was 6'4 this thing wouldn't even be close come draft day. You can take it how you want with Jackson and Allen but anyone that listened to that interview would get the impression that Jackson/Allen are both DUMB. Breer is very direct in his interviews, almost unprofessionally so for a guy that is working for SI.

Lamar Jackson. Breer was on the radio this morning and confirmed that teams did want to see him run some WR drills and also mentioned that Jackson struggled on the whiteboard during interviews. FWIW Breer also said Allen needs to prove himself capable of learning and executing an NFL offense, the radio host straight out called Allen dumb and asked Breer to confirm it he laughed it off and reiterated the prove himself stuff. So Jackson/Allen no touchie.

Who's your "plate of crow" in the draft?
CommonCents replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Barkley. He is one of those too good to be true type of players, Sammy Watkins of RB. I just finished my plate from Bosa so I'm ready for more. -

You did the math and then said the report is not true. Sloppy jaloppy! A car depreciates at 53 cents a mile according to the federal tax code, add in gas. So she made 6.33 for a 7 mile ride meaning she is making less than a dollar a mile before she even considers her cost to operate the vehicle. Perhaps finish the math before you put you say something is false. Then consider how many miles she drove empty to come and pick you up and then again for her next rider. Uber/Lyft is basically taking out a cash advance on your car. I tried it for extra money and it doesn't take long to get enough of a samlle size to see the problem with it. Also the drivers see exactly what you paid so they are just wasting your time with that conversation. -

Lamar Jackson on why he chose Louisville ...
CommonCents replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why we bro'n? If I was Lamar Jackson I would dismiss anyone asking me to play WR as well. I find that a lot more likely than Peter Schrager making something up like that. You can be sure he didn't make that up, everyone knows the issues that arise when mobile quarterbacks are debated and Schrager is a good decent man who drives in the middle lane. He wouldn't bait anyone. -

Schrager said yesterday that multiple teams were interested in seeing him workout as a WR. He is as tuned in as any anyone, why would he put that out there if it wasn't true? -

Teams have asked him to workout as a WR, that doesn't exactly scream enamored. -

I opened this thinking that he referenced all the hookers the basketball team got. Now I'm dissapointed. -
Just posting these statistics and then attaching "never trade up" ignores the obvious. "Never put yourself in a situation where you need to trade up" should be what this tells you. Trading up is a risky move usually made out of desperation but when you have a need at QB and your coach and GM find their guy, they need to go get him. This pile of statistics better shows a team that HAS a QB how to manage its drafts and continue to draft QBs, see NE. Never leave the cupboard bare because the calendar quickly turns to March and ain't nobody wanna see Tyrod Taylor and Nathan Peterman 1 and 2 on the depth chart.
