  1. We're 38m under the salary cap. Why the hell can't we overpay one or two of our best players?
  2. lol, I'm not even trying to prove anything anymore. The whole idea was that it probably isn't a good thing to look at one region of the country for draft picks. Certain people think that you can't tell that despite all our picks being from one region. Certain other people ascertained that we should only look at that region anyway because it is "the best". Opinion of which is "the best" is irrelevant; a team shouldn't focus on one region like we did. Our team was the only team to only recruit people from down south. Like I said at first; it isn't the end of the world. It is unsettling. Although checking out the Jags' draft is a lot more unsettling, lol.
  3. Since 2000, the winning QBs of the Super Bowl: Kurt Warner - Northern Iowa Trent Dilfer - Fresno State Tom Brady - Michigan x3 Brad Johnson - Florida St Ben Roethlisberger - Miami Ohio x2 Eli - Miss Peyton - Tennessee Drew Brees - Purdue Aaron Rodgers - Cal So three QBs from southern schools, 7 wins from the midwest, and 2 from the west coast... List wars continue!
  4. The "you're not a GM so you don't know ****" apologist remarks will only last until this front office gets canned.
  5. I WILL get pissed off about the 245th pick in the draft! I don't know why though! I guess mostly because we know Buddy and Chandler won't be awake when free agency opens, Bellore and Devlin will be signed as backups for the best teams, and then Buddy will play it off like we're the morons.
  6. According to the BCS. It is pretty clear from the draft where they spent most of their time. Possible franchise QB is always always always better than a NT, especially when we don't have a possible franchise QB and we do have NTs. Also when that possible franchise QB comes from a program that WINS and goes to national championships (with playoffs!).
  7. It is irrelevant where the "best" football is being played, really. "Best" is clearly opinion, especially with how ****ty the BCS is. Like I said, it is just the idea that it seems like they're only scouting the south or using advice from good old boys in the south making it a problem. Last year we took four players from low-end mid-majors out of our 9 picks (OK, James Madison isn't even a mid-major, probably. Arky State ditto). This year we took a dude in the 7th round from a community college in the south instead of Pat Devlin, who would be a way better flyer pick, especially with the depth we already have on the DL.
  8. C+. If we pick up Pat Devlin or Nick Bellore, B-.
  9. I understand that. Perhaps I wasn't clear. I was trying to list most of our big draft guys from the last few years and say if they were busts or good. You can't really say that northern schools produce more busts. You just can't. To the contrary, they have worked out for us. They also haven't. Same with the south. CJ Spiller was our top draft pick last year and didn't produce. For an RB, this is crucial! How many undrafted RBs had a better year than CJ? Ugh. This is like some baby boomer facebook BS.
  10. Eric Wood is a work in progress. Jairus Byrd had a great rookie season and dropped off. Aaron Maybin was a bust. James Hardy, bust. Reggie Corner, decent to good. Marshawn and Puz were above average. Spiller? nothing so far, with no real glimmers of greatness. McKelvin? Meh. Tough to say southern boys have worked out for us recently. Like I said, they should be scouting the whole country, and this draft raises questions.
  11. It doesn't really matter if they can or can't play. It is just unsettling that they ALL came from one region. Are Buddy and company even looking out west, in the mid-west or up north?
  12. As a Central Michigan grad and homer, I can tell you that Nick Bellore is a beast.
  13. Last time we took a chance on someone injured would have been McGahee, didn't really work out for us in the end. But you can't really draw parallels like that I imagine the first two teams in the 2nd round will be looking at Bowers
  14. It always seems like there is a 5'3" woman sitting in all of the exit row seats
  15. This is an article from 2007: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/09/06/health/main3239837.shtml In 2004 there were 4,600 suicides among young people. It might sound like a lot but it really isn't compared to our population. It isn't an epidemic and it isn't some kind of crisis.
  16. This is my favorite thing. I'm going to have to make this into a ringtone somehow.
  17. That would be great, but after last year's draft I don't have a lot of confidence in the team to draft those players.
  18. Here's a tip With the #3 pick in the draft, you'd be senile to think that you could trade down and get a good deal.
  19. It is almost comparable value (with 49ers coming out a bit ahead) but it seems like a no-brainer for Bills fans, which it will seem as well for 49ers brass, so there is no way we'd ever get a deal like this.
  20. Uni-watch Blog on the new uniforms: http://www.uniwatchblog.com/2011/02/10/exclusive-details-on-the-new-bills-uniforms/
  21. If it is immediately obvious to 99% of Bills fans (where 75% of those only understand the game and the business very little) that we should trade down, how obvious do you think it is to Jerruh Jones and the other teams that people are proposing will trade with us?
  22. Is there a rolling eyes smiley on this board? Just pretend I put it in this post. [Moderator edit: ]
  23. It isn't whining at all. The team made the wrong decision, people are pissed off about yet another terrible decision. By year 5, CJ's best years will be behind him and if Gailey is still around, he'll be drafting more waterbugs.
