  1. I got to see him pretty up close vs the Lions the other night (from about 8 rows back) and he looked terrible. His passes were sailing, he danced in the pocket, etc.
  2. Yeah not having Roscoe play was nonsensical; almost as nonsensical as having Fred Jackson returning kicks. So stupid.
  3. I have to watch the game tonight as I have it on DVR, but after seeing the stats and highlights I think I'm ready to give Chandler the benefit of the doubt.
  4. After watching the first quarter, I'm actually somewhat excited for what this team might do once all the injured dudes are back.
  5. Sign him up and cut Trent so he can have #5.
  6. Marc Bulger or Jeff Garcia are still available, aren't they?
  7. I'm sure the good ole' boys knew that Marshawn and Fred would get injured in the first pre-season game.
  8. I still don't understand why Jackson was returning kicks. There is no reason to have your main load-carrier returning kicks back there. Put Spiller and McKelvin back there. Spiller is basically an 'extra' in our RB situation so he'll be OK to run kicks.
  9. Damn dude, no reason to get personal. You didn't select Spiller instead of what we needed at #9 pick.
  10. I'll be on the road so I'll be listening on Sirius - unfortunately I can't see how everyone does, which is the point of pre-season. Even if the scores mean nothing, it would be nice to get a few wins in the pre-season. They'll be tougher to get during the season with this team
  11. All of the mediocre teams (Jax, Det, Chi, KC) are penciling us in as a win too. I don't see more wins than last year; they installed a new defense and the other reams in the division actually made strides to get better players.
  12. Dude sounds like a jerk. I don't hope the Bills lose any games. I'm tired of rooting and living and dying every Sunday for the laughingstock of the league. At this point I'm definitely thinking we'll win maybe 4 games, but I'm getting more optimistic each time I see something from camp. I dunno.
  13. They were worse than average and lost their main pressure guy who had 2x the sacks that anyone else on the team had. I said pass defense, not secondary Pass defense includes our pedestrian pass rush and penalties incurred while flailing your arms trying to catch Randy Moss.
  14. Nah, there is a direct correlation. Bills opponents knew the run defense was terrible, so they would game plan to run all the time and focus less on passing. Of course when you're focused less on passing the passing game won't be as great. Of course when you're running the ball for 4.7 ypc you don't have to pass as far (leading to less gain per pass play). Hell, of those 28 picks we had 5 in a game vs Sanchez and 3 in a game vs washed up Delhomme. How many pass interference calls did we have last year too? I remember two in the Pats* game in Buffalo that setup two TDs. edit: not to mention that we were barely decent in pass rush last year and we'll be a lot worse this year.
  15. It cracks me up when people say we had a really good pass defense. Our run defense was 30th in the league, nobody had to pass! I suspect Kirwan was looking for something good to say.
  16. They were entirely fair in their assessments. They interviewed Marcus Stroud. I am usually most seasons the 100% optimistic guy, I'll support anybody, but this off-season has been so pathetic that I'm definitely in the "bad fan" camp. Stroud's interview made me a lot more optimistic - talking about how Bills fans deserve better etc. etc. Moving the Chains with Kirwan and Ryan has always been a good show and teaches you how to actually watch the game as opposed to being a stark raving mad fan. Last year after TO signed they had tons of callers; I think most fans who listen to the show are more intelligent and they're depressed about our chances this year, so they don't call.
  17. I guess it really doesn't matter if we got value for him. If we got a 5th or 6th rounder it would be used on a project player who would probably end up on the practice squad anyway based on this front office's first draft.
  18. Holy crap there is some major paranoia going on up in here
  19. CJ Spiller will be our starting QB. We'll be running the Waterbug offense.
  20. Haha, I keep this in the back of my mind too. I don't want our team to be the laughingstock of the league. But then, you think about it... "Jauron and Co HAD to know what they were doing, right?" I just don't think you can put faith in a front office because they are the front office. From my various jobs and hobbies I've seen that people are put into positions of leadership for all kinds of reasons - who you know, people quit, people are fired, etc. and the person who is put into the position isn't nearly able to do the job.
  21. The players we drafted may turn out to be great players, but they weren't what we needed. That is a 'poor draft'. We have the worst quarterback corps by far in the league; our wide receivers are marginal, so they'll get no help there. Our offensive line is one big question mark with so many guys coming off of injury. These are things that should have been addressed - instead Buddy and Chandler came in and drafted 'their guy' (waterbug - basically a Madden 11 pick) instead of working with what we already had.
  22. I find it really hard to give them the benefit of the doubt. They're both old "good ole boys" who seem to be out of touch I was hoping for big changes this offseason, instead we got a washed up coach and other people's trash in free agency, followed up with a poor draft. The franchise is in a rut.
  23. I should have stated it better then. "We won't win 6 games".
  24. I'm sad to see us predicted at #31 but I agree with it. We have a new (mediocre) head coach we have a new offensive plan we have a new defensive scheme we didn't address needs on the offensive line we didn't address needs at QB the Jets and Dolphins both got better We're not going to win more games than last year.
