Play more aggressively on defense against inferior offenses, play the standard way against better offenses. Play more conservatively against teams with good front 4s or secondaries. Take 8 max protect deep shots to Davis by the end of the 3rd quarter preferably on earlier downs by end of the 3rd quarter. This will loosen up defenses for the underneath stuff, and Davis is good for 30% success and will rebuild his confidence and give him opportunity to break out of slump.

My biggest question is why do they fear the pass so much they feel the need to play their ‘base’ nickel defense against a run heavy front? If anything playing a more aggressive defensive style that was blitz heavy intent on stuffing the run and forcing the game into Wilson’s hands should have been the game plan from the first defensive snap.

Davis 2022 has been a roller coaster. A few terrific highs and currently at the bottom of a great low. How mentally tough is Gabe? Only time will tell.

Would have hurt to challenge this. It also wouldn’t have hurt brining in a 3rd LB or 5th DL on the Jets GWD.

I’m of the opinion you let shooters shoot their way out of a slump, and the same should hold for a franchise QB. Allen’s peers Mahomes and Brady threw over 50 passes today. Allen should be forced to do the same. Let Allen rip 50-60 passes per game until he finds his mojo.

Bass misses 50% from 50+ as do every kicker available.

Knox needs to get some targets.

QBs need to throw the ball without moving ball so far back. The arm angle is all off.

The Bills are good until they get blown out.

Watching Mahomes and Brady throw 60 passes and make it look effortless is a bit frustrating as opposed to watching Allen continually not look for the easy underneath completion.

Pre snap, and lots of bales plus 1 safety or Taron Johnson is not equivalent to a 3rd LB or extra DT in terms of being able to take on blockers when they have run heavy fronts.

I watch Brady throw 59 passes and not get picked once. We need receivers with the courage to run 3 yard routes average 6 yards per catch and absorb hits. Eventually the defense breaks.

We need to start beating AFC East teams. Can’t go 0-6 in the division and win anything.

Clearly Taron Johnson didn’t do enough to prevent the Jets from running the ball down our throat on the game winning drive. Our DL was getting shredded and blockers were making it to the 2nd level wiping out our 2nd line of defense. We needed more beef to match the Jets.

He can’t play outside corner? Take out Dane Elam or Benford.

If only they can make that final adjustment. I’m even cool with 3 DTs 2 DEs and 2 LBs, it doesn’t even have to be a 4-3 front, go big. Frazier played in the Bears 1980s 46 defense. It’s not like he doesn’t understand size advantages.

I’m wondering why a team plays 4 DL and 2 LBs against run heavy fronts. Seems we were missing 1 LB over smaller nickel corners.

Allen’s window is only as good as the personnel and coaching he has around him. It’s too early to tell if the team will continue improving, that’s dependent on our FO and draft process.

Brady had 9 pass touchdowns and only 1 pick on the season. Allen has 19 pass touchdowns and 9 picks.

Did we not think the Jets were going to try to run and clamp down on defense? This was the only way the Jets were going to win and they executed a clean game. The Bills were sloppy again with yet another multi turnover game.

Bills failed to adjust their defense and opted to not run a 7 man heavier front on defense. Milano absence was missed as Bernard looked overwhelmed. Johnson took some bad angles on sideline toss sweeps indicating Poyer also missed. Allen throwing Red Zone picks is never a good sign. Bass miss from 55 was bad. Allen’s 2nd pick was bad, and led to a short field and a quick 7 points.

CBS convinced Allen has a sore arm. Don’t need WRs if your QB can’t throw.
