  1. Denver is going to end up losing this game in the waning minutes by 3 or 4. I feel like I've seen this exact same game so many times already.
  2. I remember the golden era Bills getting waxed on national television by the Chiefs and Steelers. We also got our butts kicked by the Oilers the week before the you-know-what game. It happens. Same here except I had them going 10-6 after starting 4-2.
  3. I'm no fan of Belichick, but nobody ever questioned the guy's intelligence. Vrabel on the other hand? Well . . .
  4. They're undefeated by beating the Broncos by 2, the Jaguars by 3, and the Vikings by 1. This is not the 85 Bears we're talking about here.
  5. This stuff is outside the team's control. Just win games and everything will sort itself out.
  6. That's because you're accustomed to Bills teams of the past. The kind of teams that lose critical games to the other guys' backups and generally come up small at the worst possible times. Thankfully I think those days are behind us -- from the coaching staff to the QB on down, this seems like a team that's going to be ready to play no matter what. I mean, you could tell Josh Allen that the game has been moved to tomorrow morning, in the parking lot of the abandoned drive-in two towns over, and the first words out of his mouth would be "Who needs a ride?"
  7. I think I'm going to have an important doctors appointment next Monday that will force me to leave work early.
  8. Billls-Chiefs on MNF if the Titans game goes off as scheduled.
  9. Just saw the same thing. If there was any real breaking news, it would be on Twitter already.
  10. Yeah, as frustrating as this situation is, I understand why the league is having a hard time deciding what to do with this game. They obviously should have had better contingency plans in place, but given that they didn't they now have a tough situation on their hands.
  11. My heart aches for the Titans. So tough for them to be put through the wringer like this. Oh wait, no, screw those guys.
  12. I was fine with moving our game to Tuesday and bumping the KC game to the weekend. That's not great, but I strongly preferred that option to some stupid week 18 plan, and I'd rather get our wins by beating these nimrods on the field than by forfeit. I will lose my ***** if this game gets re-rescheduled. Either play it or cancel it. The Bills shouldn't be punished any more for Tennessee's incompetence.
  13. Imagine rooting for an undefeated team with a franchise QB and nothing but a bright future ahead of it, and wringing your hands over a second round pick from two years ago.
  14. If you're looking for positives, let's keep in mind that we have a two game lead on New England that might very well be only one game if Newton had played.
  15. As far as I can tell, the Titans will be missing two of their starting WRs and both starting DTs. Also their LS, along with some backups. Overall that's very good for us. Also, the Tuesday start gives our own banged-up players more time to get right. Overall, I'm good with this arrangement.
  16. On further reflection, I'm thinking screw that. I don't want to change opponents on a few days notice.
  17. Year 1A (before injury): Mostly bad, except for the Minnesota game. Showed flashes, but mostly bad. Year 1B (after coming back from injury): Huge step forward. Looked like a totally different player. Still below average, but fun to watch. Year 2: Another huge step forward. Won 10 games. Made several teams look silly, and kept us in there against elite teams. Year 3A (so far): Another huge step forward. The guy is carrying this team, and we would be 1-3 without him. Better weapons help, but Josh is playing lights out. This month has been like a lucid dream. 2020 so far has been the absolute best possible don't-even-fantasize-about-this-because-you-know-it-won't-really-happen start to the season as far as the QB position goes.
  18. Agree 100%. This guy was super-raw coming out of college. He never played with or against big-time players and he never received NFL-pipeline coaching. If a player was going to come along to blow up the standard analytics model, it would be a guy like that. Sure, a guy who plays four years at Ohio State who shows mechanical flaws is very unlikely to fix those flaws in the NFL, but that's because he's played under coaches who surely noticed those flaws and tried unsuccessfully to fix them. That was never the case with Allen. NFL teams had every reason for optimism that they could succeed where Wyoming's coaches failed.
  19. Exactly. Full disclosure -- before the season started, I had the Bills going 4-0 and suffering their first loss @TEN. Well, that game just got much easier. The Chiefs game got marginally tougher, but I'll take this tradeoff. We should hand the Titans their asses to them.
  20. At this point I kind of want the Bills to play a decimated Titans squad that hasn't had a chance to do any practicing or game-planning. Let's hang 50 on them.
  21. No brainer. You can't send Herbert back to the bench considering how he's been playing.
