Hi Bob. Other teams fans are welcome here anytime to discuss football. I hope the Bills find a way to protect Drew better than the last time we played. And that our Defense can actually hold a lead. Good luck. Bills win, I hope...

The problem is Mike, Arizona is getting flooded with Illegal Immigrants and people relocating here to avoid the high cost of housing in California, that it is becoming more and more liberal. We even have a female (rumored to be Lesbian) Democrat as our duly elected Governor. I am trying to do my best to uphold the conservative way of life, but I wish we could get more help from Washington to control the flow of Illegals over the Border. The crime rates here are not too bad, but the rates of violent crimes by American citizens is declining rapidly, while the rates of Illegal immigrant violent crimes are skyrocketing. There have been at least 3 incident of running gunbattles on the freeways here between rival bands of "Coyotes" (read Trafficker in Illegal Immigrants) with mutiple fatalaties....With all the concern for Terrorists, you would think we would control the borders at least a little....

Used to be really excited about a drubbing
Zona replied to _BiB_'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
let me try this. I love the Bills, and have since I was a Boy and listened to OJ go over 2000 on the Radio vs. the Jets. I loved them when they were 2- 15 and kay Stevenson was the coach in the mid 80's. I loved the K-gun and the Boys who almost took me and Us to Nirvana. I loved the Flutie/RJ Bills and understood the debate from Both sides. All that being said, I still love the Bills. But I didnt get excited in '85 when we were 2-14. I didn't get excited in 2000 when Gregg Williams took us to the awesome hights of 3-13. And i am not getting excited now. I was excited against Jax in week 1. I was excited in week 2 against Oak. I was even excited against the Pats. But now, since the season is all but over, the excitement is gone. The first 8 games of the Bills under Bledsoe, I felt like I was watching the re-birth of the K-gun. Drew led the league in TD's and yards. But over the last 32 games, i have had my heart ripped out by a QB who absolutely CANNOT make a play. I still am Happy that the Bills won. I am happy to see the Defense and Special teams turning the corner. But there is no excitement because there is no future. Part of getting all worked up for the Bills was because we knew we were GOING SOMEWHERE!!!! I.E. Playoffs, possibly a SB. Where will this team go with Drew Bledsow at QB? Nowhere. Not now. Not next year. Not ever. So why get Excited by a meaningless win when there is no future. It's like getting a peck on the cheek by the girl of your dreams. Its not going to lead to anything, so why get wood? Bring on JP and see if the Bills can Excite me again... BTW- Frez, you didnt answer my question about the feeling in your gut when Drew drops back.... -

Face it people, the reason we didn't get excited today, is because we know that we are still only a 6-10 team that has a has been at QB. It is pretty bad when the best thing to be said about Drew's performance today was that he didn't lose the game for us. He threw for 80 yards at home in a wind storm. Big deal. Joe Ferguson did that every week in the 70's. Hey Drew, nice throw to Eric. How many completions did he have? We cannot win games if we cannot run the ball. I know it. you know it. The entire NFL knows it. Stop the Bills from running, then attack Bledsoe and wait for the mistakes... I for one cannot wait for the time in the near future when we have a qb who "HOPEFULLY" (and I stress HOPEFULLY) can actually make a play or two to WIN a game, instead of playing not to lose one. Let me just ask you guys this one question. Answer honestly. When Drew drops back to pass, are you filled with the anticipation of a great play? or the dread of the Sack fumble or Int? Far too often lately it has been the latter. I just want it to be the former. I ALWAYS thought Kelly would make the play. I never thought he would take the sack or throw the pick. I was ALWAYS surprised when it happened... -
I'll be pulling for our guys, Frez, but Zona is turning it around and will give us a game. The return of Anquan Boldin makes me a little, well you know, Nervous....
-
Thats the spirit! BTW- why didnt you decide that a LONGGGGG time ago? Heh?

Sounds like Mularkey sees a change at QB
Zona replied to seq004's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
OK Here is one reason to put in Mathews over Bledsoe. Mathews wins 50% of his starts. And those wins were on crappy teams just like the Bills. What is the Bills record under Bledsoe? You got it, LESS than .500 -
People have blasted TD, but just imagine now
Zona replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I personally wanted TD to trade up from 13 to get Roethlesberger. Remember people, that was one of the rumors going around in April. We could have had our future QB and still picked up a receiver later on in free agency. I like Evans, but he is 2 years away from being a stud, if he ever becomes one....We could have had just as much impact from a free agent. As far as Roethlesberger vs Losman, only time will tell. I said in April that I thought Big Ben would be a Superstar in this league, comparing him to John Elway. I dont know what Losman will do...Thats why I wanted to trade for a QB, I just wanted to trade up inside the Steelers at 11.... -
Az has the best Red Zone defense in the league, combined with the Bills having one of the worst Red Zone offense in the league makes this a tough W for the home town boys. I look to see a low scoring game. Turnovers will play a huge part in deciding the winner and the Cards are the best at creating turnovers in the entire league. I think Drew will throw 3 more picks and the Bills still dont get a rushing TD. Cards 16 Bills 10 C'mon BILLS, prove me wrong!!!! Blow out this team....

OT - This is pretty interesting and....

Hey! I resemble that remark, but my crack goes in a pipe, not a pot. NEVER mix your drugs..... Seriously though, I love conspiracies. One of the Questions I have about the Pentagon Rosen on 9/11 is this... If the Pentagon is THE MOST SECURE and THE MOST SURVEILLED Building in the entire World, how come there are only three pictures of an object striking the Building? They have Cameras all over the parking lots, inside, outside, in every corner, on every pole, and all you got were 3 pictures? None of which show a plane? PLEASE....Next you will tell me that Drew is really doing a great job and the Bills should be grateful to have him these last 3 long years..... -
That fear (of Shane outplaying Drew) is exactly the problem with this team. Mularkey cant/wont make decisions that will make Tom D. look bad. If he benched Drew and Shane went 4-1 as a starter, than it becomes obvious that we stuck with Drew too long, a GM mistake....You dont want to pay a BACKUP QB 8 mill a year do you? As soon as you start questioning the moves of a GM, you are begging for problem if you are a HC. Mularkey is too new to do anything other than what he is told right now. And if I am not mistaken, wasn't MM in pittsburgh during the entire TD/Cowher debacle? MM does not want to get into that kind of situation half way through his first year as HC... Looks to me like Drew is the man for the entire season, with JP getting spot duty in mop up time after the Bills are down by 30 with a quarter to go, similar to what Travis got last year....That would pi$$ me off big time. JP needs to play so next year isn't a write-off also...
-
Sounds good to me. Get it going, or get out of here. Losman is the future, and it is critical that he gets game experience as a rookie. The more the better. No, we don't expect him to come in and win, just come in and show something....Anything positive would be better than Drew sucking week after week.... Maybe he could win some games. Big Ben did in Pitt....
-
Yes Flutie did lead the team all season, but RJ was the one who played in the playoffs. I stand corrected.... But I still say Drew and RJ are very similar, except for the fragility of RJ and the durability of Drew....
-
Not me Frez. I live in Phx, and i can tell you that the Cards area physical, hard playing team with alot of HEART. Something this Bills team lacks. C'mon TD, bench Bledsoe....
-
The reason they wont though, is because then the mgmt might look like the losers they are for sticking with this piece of crap. I mean if Shane friggin Mathews can come in and light it up, then why wasnt he playing all along? They wont risk the embarassment. Last year, when Drew left the games, Travis had more yards passing in 1 quarter than drew did in the other 3. Drew hasn't thrown for more than 225 yrds in How long? Its like 13-14 games now.....Thats pathetic....
-
indy at some point in todays game had 23 td's on offense and only 18 punts this season. Then I think of our putrid offense and it makes me cry....
-
lol- yes I do in fact. RJ actually had us in the playoffs.
-
Has all the tools and the mind of a loser.....Couldn't get it done in his prime, and I thought, hoped he could get it done in his dotage? Shame on me for hoping this team could rebound.... Let JP play for the rest of the season, and make drew the 3rd string guy....
-
IMHO- The Bills MUST get rid of the players who continually find a way to lose. London Fletcher, Drew Bledsoe, Travis Henry(who I like, but he must go), I would bring in like 3 new O-lineman to help shore up an obvious weakness. Start drafting guys who can make plays, not guys who have stats and numbers. Guys who win....
