Hey Kelly. Its a rule similar to the Down by Contact ruling from the KC Denver game last night. Once the official calls a player down by contact or forced out by a defender, then that call is not reviewable. The Officials were only able to check if he maintained possession as he hit the ground. The Competition Committee meets every year to review things like this and decides how to correct it, but Only if enough coaches and owners complain.

The announcers blew it as usual. Usually tasker is right on, but he blew this one. The replay was called because they wanted to make sure he maintained possession during the fall to the ground. They COULD NOT overturn the pushed out, or feet inbounds, but if the ball wobbled or came loose as he hit the ground then it is NO CATCH! That was what they were looking for and it was inconclusive. That is what the Referee said, so thats what we live with. The call and the TD are right. We lost because of a backward pass fumble, a fumble in the red zone (both by Eric Moulds) and because we missed a FG, and because we didnt try the last FG. I am not second guessing his decision to punt, thats his call. But if I was HC, I would of kicked the FG. If we miss, they still have to go 60 yrds to get in the EZ. If we make it, we cant lose. 60 yrds or 80 yrds makes no difference in that situation. The Jags had to get a TD and we didnt stop them. Its Simple. We lost, they won... I think we hired the right guy. This Bills team WILL be better. Mularkey will take this team to playoffs. The question is, WHEN?

My constant Bledsoe Bashing & "Statue" comments
Zona replied to Foxboro Mike's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
thats no fun. I think you should continue to trash Bledsoe. We hate Brady regardless of his performance. Why shouldn't you hate Bledsoe? And yeah, half the fun of this board is talking to different people and having a debate as to the merits of patpatpat sack versus marciamarciamarcia overrated... -
Well then Johnny, we are good then. We are after the same thing I think. And that is a Bills win in the Big Game. Go Bills!!!!
-
Before you include me in your crap, you should actually read what I said. I never said anything about our offense. I said we need to pressure Brady to win, and I said the Pats Defense didnt look good. Nothing about Bills offense and Indy's offense. If you want to "have a Take and dont suck" go call the Rome show. That crap was old 5 years ago. I didn't have a "take". I expressed an OPINION.

All I know is, when the Bills were able to put pressure on Brady, he had 3 picks and the Bills crushed the Patsies. When we couldn't put any pressure on Brady, he picked us apart and the Pats crushed the run for the bus Bills. Seems to me that if we want to beat the Pats, we need to throw Brady off his game somehow. I dont care how we do it, just do it....

Pats defense played well? I didnt see the same game then. They gave up 450+ yards and if Indy hadn't turned it over 3 times inside the 10, it could have been 45-27....Indy only punted once.....

Former Bill Glenn Parker, Sterling Sharpe, Solomon Wilcotts, and a fourth guy I dont know were talking about the upcoming season and what we could expect. Parker did a nice job of breaking down the Bills offense and talking about how he expects the Bills to suprise the league this year. He showed a couple plays this preseason where McNally's new scheme has helped. Specifically the long run by Travis against the Titans. Teague pushed threw the line and was able to throw a great block against the MLB on the lead side of the play to spring Travis for about 30 yds. Then Sterling and Solomon agreed that it appears the O-line is going to be much improved over last season, as long as they continue to get better from week to week as they have done so far...and that the Bills do have a chance not only to make the playoffs, but do well once they get there. They talked about how any team with a defense as potent as ours, combined with an offense like ours MAY become, can win a Superbowl. They went so far as to compare us to the Panthers from last year.... It made me pumped up for some football. It would be nice if they were right. I would love to see the Bills O-line come together and Travis have a BIG year (1600 yds and 15 td's would be nice). Maybe the Bills can actually turn the corner and become a winner AGAIN!!!! Its time to restore the Glory....

I dont know. Three turnovers in the red zone by Indy is the only thing that saved them. They didnt look that good to me. I want to see our D against that O. I predict we split with the Pats, just like last year....

I just added Branch to my team from the Waiver Wire. I hope he has a good year...

My daughter had them for about 3 years, but only occasionally. The only thing that settled her was my voice. My wife couldnt calm her down, but if I went in and just talked to her in a soothing voice, you know "daddy's here, it's OK." kind of stuff and she would calm down. It is very spooky to here the kid dreaming and to here the fear in their voices.... The good news is, they grow out of that phase like all others....(at least mine have so far....12 and 11, I hope they out grow teenage phase )

Now that's irony for ya. You could have dropped him and picked up McCown from Arizona. i think he will be a good fantasy QB...

Official Jacksonville Jaguars thread..

I agree with you. I think MM looked at what made Drew so Succesful in the past and try to repeat it. I remember Drew killing us when he would throw to Ben Coates. That little dump pass to the tight end used to drive me crazy. I predict we will have break out numbers for our TE's this season, and subpar numbers from Moulds and Price. Evans will be strictly a decoy. After we wear out the dump pass to the TE, then we will go deep and burn the Safeties.... -
OK.....I need some advice....I may be about to

You always have recourse if you are unsatisfied with your contractor. Whether it is a specific contractor or the GC. I would start by calling the company and telling them you are unhappy, and if they do not IMMEDIATELY address those issues you will contact the BBB. Most contractors put great stock in their rating with the BBB and will try to avoid that at all cost. Give them a chance to fix the problem, then call the BBB. If all else fails, the scum-sucking bottom dwelling lawyers should be a last resort. I acted as my own GC 4 years ago when I built my own pool. I dealt with the Contactors directly and scheduled everything according to my own schedule. If given an opportunity in the future, build your own pool. Mine was done in 4 weeks and I didn't have a clue what I was doing when I started. OH- and i built a $40,000 pool for $16,000. Good luck John... -
Be careful and hunkerdown. Seams to me that this storm is generating some major bad Mojo, as well as high winds. It has people spooked more than usual. I dont want to here that so and so didnt make it.... Good luck to all Florida Posters on TBD...

I think we all left in '77. We did. Been in Phx since '78. That Blizzard of '77 was the be all end all. Oh, and um, welcome to the best Bills site online...

Thanks again Bob. I love the fact that the Bills leave the broadcast at the same place every week. I know where to look for it....

The Cardinals released a QB recently named Preston Parsons. He was actually pretty good. I say we bring in like 5-6 guys for a look, and sign one or two....

Whay all the bridge jumping over Travis Brown??
Zona replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Losing Losman did not mean losing the season. Now losing Brown means we are one hit away from having ZOLMAN as our starter. That makes people a little, well, You know. Now, I agree we should not jump off bridges. Drew may be alot of things, but injury prone is DEFINETLY not one of them. Let TD find a decent backup until we get JP or TB back.... -
The league put in the rule after Trent Green was taken out on the exact same type of hit a few years ago. The D-linemen are not allowed to hit the QB's low. The lineman didn't push him. He wasn't falling. He was DIVING for the knees. Oh BTW- he fuggin got them, the bastard....The ref's didnt even throw a flag. It reminds me of the rule where the QB is not supposed to be touched when he hook slides while scrambling. I see QB's get crushed now all the time and no calls are being made. I hope Travis is not hurt too badly.

No, she's not purdy. She is perfect! Did you know she is also a Bills Fan?
