  1. As far as pain goes, it was breaking both forearm bones in a game of football. I got knocked down from behind and landed funny. The Breaking of the arm was not as painful as the 3 nurses and the Dr trying to set the bone. THAT was excruciating! if you have never had a bone set, here goes. The nurses hold you, and Dr grinds the ends of the two bones together to try and line them up properly, then he pushes the jagged ends together! yeah, that hurts. But you guessed it. he didnt like the way the ends joined so he tried again....No painkiller. I was 13 and ready to kill him... The other injury that was bad, but not as painful, was my knee bending sideways in a softball game. I was at bat, and took a big swing, My plant foot slipped and the knee buckled. Turned out to be a fractured kneecap and thigh bone. I was 32 and missed 4 months work. The knee still is "off". I am limited since then to golf mostly....It sucked to gap the outfielders, clear the loaded bases and get thrown out at first.
  2. I like the Jordy Nelson pick. I think that kid will turn into a Player. I really want him on this team.
  3. I might Lurk for the most part around here, but I sure miss this place when it Rosen's. Damn Jay!
  4. I think you hit on the key in your post to figuring out what the Bills Might do. They said as much last year. The Bills evaluate different draft combinations like you did to see which helps the team more. Willis then Irons lets say, or Lynch and Harris/syler. Marv said thats what he likes to do. Question is, which combination does Marv like?
  5. I want the Isles. They will be the easiest for us to beat. The Habs scare me, frankly. They always give us a hard time. I wouldnt mind the Leafs, although their declaration that the Sabres are soft is interesting. They said they wanted to play us so they can "get after us" for 7 games as it was only way to beat us. I would like to see them try....
  6. I have always thought that Selvin Young was the spitting image of Thurman. He is the same size the same speed and he even ran like Thurman. It's too bad that he hasn't been able to succeed like Thurman. Maybe a late round flier? BTW- that size is to me still the best for an NFL back. 5-10 to 5-11 and around 210-215 lbs. All the best backs filled that mold. Emmit, Barry, Thurman, LT. Walter payton was similar in stature as well.... Small enough to be elusive and big enough to take the abuse of being an every down back...
  7. no fuggin way is this guy worth a #1. he has never been an everydown back. I have horrible flashbacks to RJ everytime I hear someone say they want to give up a 1st for this guy. ESPECIALLY at #12!!!!! MT=RJ
  8. God I hope not. I think Poz will be average at best in the NFL. I just dont like him. I will sum it up in a word- overrated
  9. I think you have the right of it. Either way, I trust Marv to get it right. Unlike some here who think he has screwed the pooch, I like what he is doing.
  10. I agree with what you are saying Kelly, especially about the dollar amount. I just think the Bills will draft a rb on day 2 if we sign Brown. I think we have too many holes on this team that NEED filling. If we have two decent backs, we can fill a LB need or a DT need and reach for a RB later.
  11. I see the whole Chris Brown situation as interesting. I think there are two possibilities here. Either the Bills dont really want Brown and are looking more at 1st round rb to add to the position. Or they are trying to get him in here and do the two back rotation thing like Indy. If we end up signing him, I dont see us picking a RB on day one. I am waiting to see which way the Bills go, but I think we will pass on Brown and draft Lynch or AP if he somehow falls into our lap...
  12. I think the LB position is good enough to NOT spend a 1st round pick on it. 2nd or 3rd-fine, but we dont need Willis. I would rather take a RB, DT, CB, or even OT before a LB.
  13. I dont think Crowell is the choice for MLB on this team. I think we will see Spikes stay with the team and return to MLB to replace London. Thats where he started. Thats what he was good at, among other things. We moved him to OLB I think when we signed him, didn't we? Regardless, I think Takeo can still play at a high enough level to take over the MLB spot for a year or two until we can groom or find a replacement. Whether we draft one this year or next,or sign a FA MLB next year, I think Takeo is the man for this year. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/...players/15.html
  14. Oh and back before we had to log in, you used to have to type your name every post and ArizonaBillsFan was too damned long. So I am now just Zona.
  15. ROFL! now THAT was funny
  16. Anyone know if it will be replayed in the future? I missed it.....
  17. Straight up, Jager is the worst Shot you can give someone. It tastes so nasty!
  18. First off, welcome to TBD! Second, I think the TEAM atmosphere will be the reason the Bills Succeed in the future. Nobody wins the SB without playing with a team first attitude. I like to point out John Elway and Dan Marino as my two examples of what to do to win the SB, and what to do to NOT win the SB. Elway learned that its not all about his stats, and he had to do whats best for the team, and Marino didn't.
  19. Edwards is a great lb who would help this team. But I think he will cost too much and we wont go after him.
  20. OK guys, here is a little a local info about L. Davis. There is a reason Davis isn't being Tagged or re-signed by the Cards. The guy is really NO GOOD. He is a Cancer in the locker room. He is lazy POS who has under-achieved here from day one. He couldnt play tackle, so the Cards were forced to play him at OG so it wasn't a "wasted" pick. AT OG he was a "Mammoth road grader type" who couldn't open up holes in the run game. He couldn't protect the QB. And he couldn't be bothered to care. take football out of this. Have you guys ever worked with someone who totally didn't care what ANYONE said about them? Mgm't, co-workers, or friends? All they did was show up. They dont care about getting better, or about the results of their job? all they want to do is to work their 8 hours and collect their paycheck? THAT is Leonard Davis. No heart. No Passion. Million dollar ability and a $.10 head. I have watched him since he was drafted, and I can't wait for him to be gone. If he comes to Buffalo, we will regret it in a HUGE way. I would rather have Mike Williams back. Seriously.
  21. LOL And that is what is truly scary!
  22. As a Sun Devil fan, I will tell you that I think Miller will be a better TE than Todd Heap. Heap was the last TE from ASU that was drafted early, and Miller broke all his records at ASU. Miller is Always open, catches everything and is a class act. Now, I dont think 12 is a good spot to take him, but in the mid 20's I could live with it....
  23. Like others, I am glad to hear you are alright. Some A-holes dont know how to drive, PERIOD! let alone in bad conditions. Was he on the Phone?
  24. I have had 2 knee surgeries, and wife has had 4. It sounds to me like it very well could be a Miniscus tear. It is right under the Patella, and would allow him to lift without pain, but not run. I had a Broken kneecap with pieces loose in the joint, and you couldn't do any lifting or running if there was a piece of bone loose in the joint. Just my two cents. Oh and sometimes a miniscus tear wont show on MRI's or X-rays. My wife's didnt. The Ortho thought it was cartilage when he went in, and found out it was a Miniscus....
  25. Where is the halftime bikini show?
