  1. You won't find many football writers with more experience than Felser. He was shot down a lot on this board, but I have enjoyed his articles since I was a kid.
  2. The key word is "trust". Lindell cannot be trusted in the clutch, for kicks over 40 yards or to kick deep on kick-offs.
  3. Great... one more thing to worry about. My sense of smell has not been destroyed yet, but thanks for the warning.
  4. I forget who said this a few months ago and I know I am misquoting... "There are no heros in sports, the true heroes are in our armed forces. Thank you for being there for us.
  5. Zicam has worked a couple times for me... the cold is mostly gone in 2-3 days!
  6. Thanks... based on my behavior during my twenties... I am not one to judge.
  7. My apologies. I heard a lot of fun stories about the group of Bills that hung out there. I was not Jimbo-bashing, just trying to add to the conversation. Repeat... "I will never blasphamise Jimbo again".
  8. I am kind of down on Reed. Do you think he just hasn't been used properly? I had high hopes for him as a slot receiver who could take short passes and turn them into long gains.
  9. Bottom line... you need to perform your job better than him. That will give you an upper hand.... unless he is related to or sleeping with someone important.
  10. I couldn't agree more. I'm not judging him, just saying there would be ammo against him.
  11. I don't think it was limited to that. One of my younger brothers was a bouncer at Kelly's bar. They were a big time group of partyers. Wouldn't help Jimbo if he ran for anything.
  12. Sorry... I meant to attach that to VA Bills post.
  13. Why put out a teaser like that? If you've got good info... share it! Who cares if some posters flame the info,,, I always like hearing inside scoops.
  14. but how do you feel about him as a cornerback? I felt that he showed improvement as the year went on and I certainly give him the benefit of being a rookie. It did seem though, that he was picked on a lot and got beat on a lot of key third down plays. My guess is that he is going to be a decent CB, but was wondering what others thought.
  15. You're right. Just an Old Timer that occassionaly forgets about cap implications. Thanks.
  16. I wonder if we could trade for a quality defensive end that not only is a good pass rusher but a force against the run. A team needing a running back that alson considers Schoebel to be adequate might bite. I like Schoebel ok but I think we can improve.
  17. Here's to us "little bit" older posters and giving someone the benefit of the doubt. Besides enjoying some of the better comments from posters, I have always enjoyed any inside info I have seen on this board. If you don't believe it or don't want to read it...then DON'T! I for one, thank anyone for an inside scoop!
  18. Thanks to you and Fezmid. I appreciate your help.
  19. From MM or Ol' Whitey? Without Empire I am not aware of anything they might have said.
  20. It is exciting to hope for Peters to have a future at tight end (although I agree he will probably end up at tackle). I know the game has changed greatly since his time, but I remember John Mackey literally running over people after he would catch a pass. He was incredible. I like to envision Peters in that fashion.
  21. Actually your last sentence applies to the entire team. They struggle mightily against top teams. To see second and third stringers dominate us makes me question the entire teams fortitude. I enjoyed the winning streak and am looking forward to next year... but if we can't compete against the upper echelon of the NFL, how will things change?
  22. I love Peters' potential.. but would prefer a good veteran free agent pick up at this point.
  23. I haven't seen the final stats, but I think there conversion % was much, much better than ours. Probably one of the more telling stats for a game.
