The whole overrated and most trash-talking points are more hilarious now then anything. Granted it was overblown regardless but the irony is spot on.

In the end the matchups are very close and thus every ref related situation is magnified. The refs missed calls on both sides The Bills got screwed on possibly 2 spots on one drive while up 1 in the 4th. The NFL loves to message games to keep them close and interesting. In many ways both sides took some licks in that regard but the Bills took a serious shot upon that 4th and 1. I have zero doubt that the NFL marked it short to keep the game on a razor’s edge. If the Bills go down and score a TD and get the 2 on their 3rd try; the Bills are up 30-21 and puts Kansas City in a pickle depending on how long their ensuing drive takes. The NFL is hoping for a back and forth affair to the very end and OT if possible; especially after the NFC Championship was a blowout. You give Buffalo the opportunity to be up 9 with 12 left in the game; suddenly a different story is made. Instead of lead swaps you get Buffalo trying to hold off KC biting at their ankles and while fun; doesn’t bring the 13 seconds game level of drama. If Allen to Kincaid works out; the Bills likely work down the field and eventually get screwed by the refs forcing the FG. Now you get the new OT between the teams who effectively caused the rule to begin with. In the end they wanted the Chiefs to win the game because they get Swiftie viewers, who knows how long they’ll have that well to go to, and a 3peat dynasty narrative to yammer on about.

Allen has the clutch gene but to be clutch requires confidence. Mahomes has the clutch gene and when he pulls off a magic trick he’s rewarded with wins. Allen, on the other hand, ends up with some success, some mind numbing drops, and an occasional miss. For a QB to be clutch it requires himself and another most of the time to pull it off. Where they differ is as time has passed Allen has lost some faith in pulling off miracles whereas Mahomes is fully confident in the ability to do so.

Moving left puts him in a worse spot; he'd be chasing Shakir and drawing defenders with him while his other targets all our going right.

While he hasn't had a ton of usage; his presence still draws defenders to him when he's out there which is certainly a positive.

The hate for the team and city isn't blatant in the sense of outright saying it. But we are the only team with as much success as we have had recently to constantly receive a perpetual status of being usurped by our divisional opponents regardless of our dominance. There are certainly media fans of the city and its fans but many of the old crones with votes seem to scoff at any Buffalo player in regards to awards. Lamar has a claim this year but for the very same reason Josh did last year. It has more to do with media coverage and how many African American pundits became jingoistic about "Lamar for MVP" as soon as he even had a couple good games and seemed to actively target Allen with slander and libel

There’s three reasons Josh isn’t getting MVP votes more than likely. 1. Much of the media hate the Bills and Buffalo as a whole. Add to that many dislike Allen for actually making many of them look dumb and you have an easy anti-Allen group of voters. We have a handful of Buffalo backing or at least respecting reporters and many who wish we’d move. Meanwhile Allen winning any award would create a concrete example of their complete misjudgment of Allen at the draft. 2. Moving goalposts - although Allen has fulfilled everything Jackson did last year and then some while having a great record too. Now they wish to go purely statistics based and ignore the record and the like. Allen having a great statistical year and solid record against a hard schedule last year was ignored but will be fully used to promote Lamar’s year. 3. Lastly, as much as I hate to say it, racism does play a part as well. There is a block of voters in the group that are going to vote based on skin color alone. We know that based on the many talking head shows. The number of African American pundits that have actively campaigned for Lamar and/or degraded Allen over the past month or so is very apparent. When you hear them referring to Lamar and Barkley as a “brother” or other similar slang you can see a particular bias exposed. RGIII while not a voter likely isn’t the lone pundit that seems personally invested in Lamar beating Allen even if it means being hypocritical to last season’s vote. Hell, some of those talking heads complained he didn’t get a sweep of 1st place votes last year. Rarely do their arguments involve anything but claiming Lamar’s greatness and demean Allen’s performance while attacking other analysts liking Allen. Or you see those like Acho who have downplayed it to Allen will win purely due to voter fatigue. Frankly I only started to notice this point after Allen started getting seen as the favorite for MVP; suddenly a dozen or so African American analysts suddenly became defensive against Allen winning the MVP after seemingly being fine with it until after the Chiefs game. At first is was mainly Barkley talk but once Lamar had a couple good games it shifted more to him.

Steelers, but only because of a combination between historical meetings of the two and Lamar’s lackluster playoff performances. It’s either going to be a Ravens blowout or a Steelers sneak a win by a field goal type of game. As for the Bills game, I expect a nigh even 1st half and the Bills to stomp them in the 2nd with the help of turnovers.

To add to my point, after he made that catch along the sidelines that was ruled out; it seemed like he stopped putting any significant physical effort into catches instead merely running the route putting his hands up and saying a catch is good but no injury is the bigger deal.

My guess is they told Coleman not to jump or do anything that could aggravate his wrist. He didn’t really jump from what I saw and he looked disinterested from hand fighting back to the ball both of which is very unusual for him.

Bills playing 4D chess by creating a QB controversy

One DB fought him to the back of the endzone while Keon did try to work back. Somehow no DPI. At the same time I think the weather played a small part in killing the distance a degree akin to how the kickers were struggling to get distance.

At this point we may need the Bills to hire a Brown or Steeler to wear metal cleats and try and spike Mahomes; granted I honestly believe at this point Mahomes could be sniped and would regenerate his wound like a ***** Terminator. So even that probably wouldn't work.

The league is just fixed; there's no other answer honestly. This whole season the Chiefs have danced on a cliff with cracks forming and yet have never fallen off. Every bounce, every call, every absurd event always falls into their lap.

Apparently Allen said that the sneak was Brady’s call not his.

Frankly I think Allen may have audible into the sneak but wasn’t expecting a timeout. After it was short he seemed to be trying to get up fast to get off another sneak but we call the TO. As such now Allen feels bad because he couldn’t sneak it the 1st time even though he put up 6 freaking TDs

I don’t expect him to be a starter barring injuries. He’s here to be an insurance policy that can be a great locker room guy and asset for the team off the field. I see him as the break glass in the emergency situation role. Come playoff time if we lose a safety, we aren’t left with either a rookie, or a practice squad lifer for an important game. We’ll have a guy who’s best days are past him but in a pinch still knows this defense inside and out while bringing his all. Plus he’ll probably get some snaps in one of the Patriots games as long as we stay healthy just to give him a home game to play in and get up to game speed.

1. Why is a Chiefs fan here anyway? 2. There were 11 seconds left when they stopped the clock/15 seconds when the ball was snapped. Even with a 10 second runoff; which is unlikely due to the previous play having a stopped clock

I've watched it a few more times and I have come to a conclusion. The proper call was made in regards to the penalty however the play should of been nullified or called a false start anyway due to what happens at the top of the view. The line judge watches the snap and immediately throws his flag and is already a yard or two on the field while waiving his arms before the Chiefs recover. That would signify an intention to whistle and call the play dead. Even though the ref is technically wrong; he has actively affected the play thus making the play null. In that circumstance the refs should have called the play dead on whistle intent and called either penalty with the Raiders retaining possession. We see fumbles called back all the time due to whistles being early or a ref intending to whistle but being unable for some reason. Lastly this entire sequence gives the NFL a black eye and calls into question their legitimacy as a proper sporting competition.

Quite honestly if they continues through to them getting a 3rd Super Bowl I’ll likely just stop watching because it will be blatantly clear the league is rigged

The play should have been blown dead regardless. If the refs don’t want to affect the game; then give Vegas a 5 yard penalty and replay 3rd down with 15 seconds left. If the Raiders fail, the Chiefs are lucky they keep playing bad teams. In this case it’s a purely a win handed to them by refs.

That’s plain horse hockey. Being good fundamentally doesn’t award them drive saving calls or inexplicable oddities that make the opposing team to lose. Blocking a field goal is an aggravating but skilled play. Somehow getting the Raiders to false start snap to an unprepared QB and then get the refs to go in your favor with the call isn’t anything to do with KC being talented or clutch, that’s pure luck.
