  1. After this last game against the Colts it's giving a lot or people pause to think the Bills might be on a downward trend now. 24-27 that the Colts could have easily won and perhaps should have won. 76 plays vs 58, 27 first downs vs 22, 472 yards vs 397. ToP 34:17 vs 25:43 The Bills just blew out the Dolphins the week previous and against the Colts they just kinda blew... The Josh Allen fumble at the end...the Bills were very lucky to have recovered that ball. Not kicking the FG, a missed FG. Josh Allen needed to carry the Bills offense as the Buffalo run game wasn't really a threat. So, It all comes down to who shows up on Saturday night. The Ravens will bring it along with their very good defensive secondary, blitzes and offensive run game. The latter is usually more productive in snowy, cold weather games. Hence the worry for Buffalo which is mostly a passing offense. Will the very good Buffalo offense show up? Like the one that destroyed the Miami highest paid CB's in the league and made them look silly. Like the one that put up 56 points against the #1 points allowed Miami Dolphins defense in week 17? Will the good Buffalo defense show up...like the one that made that Miami rookie QB look like a bust or the one that made old man Rivers look he was a youngster, no pressure on him really, no sacks, no INTs which he is noted to throw in big games. Will the Bills OC and DC remove their craniums from their posteriors and game plan better, call better games this week? If the good Buffalo Bills show up and score a bunch, get the lead and make the Ravens move away from their run game...while containing Lamar Jackson, their big TE Mark Andrews. If the Bills O line has an answer for that daunting Ravens blitz while giving Josh time to throw...it should a win. P.S. Let's not forget that a bunch of sites were saying that the Dolphins defense was going to shut down the Bills offense. Look what happened there.
  2. Philly has contacted Lincoln Riley, HC of Oklahoma who coached Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murry and Jalen Hurts. Jets have interviewed 12 candidates so far, 49ers DC Robert Saleh 2x, Marvin Lewis to the Jets? Chargers, Daboll as he has ties to their GM.
  3. I agree. Think about what's involved in talking to a team about being their new head coach and all that comes with it. It must take a great deal of presentation along with outlining your particular plan to make their team into a winner. Schemes, coaches you plan on hiring etc. All this probably takes a bunch of time away from the game planning you normally go though during a normal week. Yet, now you are in the playoffs and I'd imagine the film work only intensifies as does the practices. Lesie Frazier was also interviewed by the Texans and I gotta wonder if this same thing obstructed his game plan for the defense as the Bills gave up 472 yards to the Colts. The Ravens, as good as they are their defense and offense have been doesn't appear to have this problem with their coordinators. Neither did the Colts. So yea, no interviews until after a team is eliminated IMO.
  4. The man is probably very talented because if not he wouldn't even be on the Buffalo Bills practice squad. It's all about learning the game. It's so important for an NFL RB to know his roles, running through holes and lanes is just part of it. Blocking, Receiving too. Other American players have been playing USA football since pee wee football, high school, college and then the NFL. One missed block and our newly minted All pro franchise QB could be toast! One another note, after watching Williams run like a freight train against the Dolphins...I'm kinda hoping he knows his stuff and plays.
  5. At this point Daboll might already have his bags packed and be thinking about his new team. If I'm McD, I gotta wonder if it would be wise to let Allen view the field change the play if needed should Dumball show his face again this week.
  6. Daboll is going to get a HCing gig. I wonder if he will look anywhere near as good without Josh Allen (74.3 completion percentage 324 passing yards, 2 passing TDs, 1 rushing TD) carrying the offense.
  7. Yes, some stood out like Allen with his 74.3% completion percentage, 324 passing yards, 2 passing TDs, 1 rushing TD. Some stood up when it counted, Hyde, Poyer, Davis, Diggs, Beasley and even McD with his time outs, game management. The Colts were no pushover as they were a top 10 team on both defense and offense. Wasn't perfect...but a win is a win! Overall it's a team game... and the Buffalo Bills team won a big playoff game today! Oh, and Beane for building this team!
  8. I'd like to give a deflated ball to the KR...this game he stunk
  9. 2nd team all pro QB carried this team today
  10. Yea, Josh Allen must have a spine of steel for carrying this team on his back.
  11. A win, is a win is a win...and someone help me get my heart out of my throat please!
  12. Ruh oh, Josh yawning on NFL today...he kinda looks like he didn't get much sleep last night. knots in my stomach from stress...
  13. Didn't know much about him and was skeptical because one year his Carolina defense was good and the next not so good. Also, was thinking anything has got to be better than Wrex. The fact that the Bills fired Whaley and his entire scouting staff was like a revelation to me and I loved the move. (Think Watkins, EJ) I was in a wait and see mode while hoping for the best. This new regime had their work cut out for them and we gotta remember that their hands were somewhat tied to to cap restrictions. Best HC / GM since Levy / Polian and perhaps might even be better.
  14. Same, and now everyone has now seen he isn't really that great without Brady. Meanwhile Brady's new team made the playoffs. What about all that interest in Pats OC Josh McDaniel's who has had several chances to be a NFL HC again in years past. Yet now after Cam Newtons failed season NOBODY is thinking of hiring him. It would not be surprising to me to see Belichick retire soon and suddenly Robert Kraft doesn't want McDaniel's as his next HC. I'd think at this point, I can see Kraft offer that HCing job to Brian Daboll. Yet, Dabs would be a fool to take that job with that offensive roster.
  15. This is what kinda worries me. Deja vu with the Colts rookie RB Jonathan Taylor having a field day while the Bills D line is scrambling to stop him. The Bills get behind in points and Allen gets flustered / hero ball and its the 1990 SB all over again. That 90's game, the Bills should have ran Thurman Thomas much more and worn out their defense. The NY Giants 39 runs and 25 for Buffalo. It was that Bills run game all season that got them to the big dance. The Bills coaches must have missed what the Giants had done to the 49ers / Joe Montana the last game they played. Then again. this season it's all about Allen to Diggs and I just don't see the Colts or any other team stopping those two! Or, for that matter Beasley, Brown, McKenzie, Davis, Singletary.
  16. This! We did see it against the Steelers and in the first quarter or so the Bills had no answer for DT Cameron Heyward. Then the Bills started to double him and this gave Allen much more time to throw. If Allen has time to throw and his receivers get open it's gonna go well. Although, the Colts are no slouch as they have both a top ten offense and defense. Plus their O line is one of the best with two pro bowlers and the defense with pro bowl MLB Darius Leonard. Hopefully a good outcome for the Bills
  17. Most of those Dolphin fans weren't around for the 1970's decade of Miami domination over Buffalo in which the Bills didn't win one game. Don Shula owned Buffalo...much like the way Belichick has owned the Bills the last two decades. Marv Levy turned that Miami dominance around and it looks like McD is doing the same thing to the cheater. There was a lot of built up frustration from Bills fans over that decade of the 70's, and now the 2000's. I h8 the fish and am happy for every beatdown of Miami...same with the Patsies. The Jets are the clowns of the division and have been. I think perhaps Philly is the worst. I've worn my colors everywhere and the only place where they pee on fellow fans from the upper decks... Oh, forgot about Cleveland 89 playoff game in which a Bills fan mysteriously fell to his death from an upper level while leaving that WC game. Who knows?
  18. Frank Reich worries me... If Rivers plays like the way that got him booted from the Chargers he will lose this game for them...Mr Interception. The Colts have a strong defense and run game. All they need from Rivers is game management. Then again, if they get behind in points it could be Rivers being Rivers...
  19. Well deserved! Drafting Josh Allen! The trade of draft picks for Diggs that many were questioning. Gabe Davis, AJ Klein, Tyler Bass and on and on.
  20. This kind of does reek of a favor to Jimbo...and for a kid who has already ruined so many chances too. What's next, Johnny Football? I'd rather they sign a player with a brain. *How much info can you garner from a potato...
  21. I agree. Ryan's defensive is gone the way of the buggy whip. That clown took the Bills #1 D line with the #1 pass rush in the NFL and neutered it by asking those awesome pass rushers to not rush the passer, by either drop into pass coverage or stay and hold position so the crappy LBers could make plays. Wrex should be as assistant coach along with his brother Rob who is coaching the Washington LBers.
  22. If I'm not mistaken, from a slip by Kirby Jackson statement that Daboll might already be one of the highest paid OC's in the NFL. Anyway, doubt he stays, as the LA chargers look so juicy.
  23. I'm hearing Daboll has his choice of places to go this year. My guess would be the Chargers with so much talent on offense and Herbert looking a lot like Allen. Herbert had 4336 passing yards and 31 TDs. Keenen Allen, Hunter Henry, Austin Eckler... No brainer.
  24. I gotta say, the Bills O line has been doing a super job this season! While keeping the pocket clean and giving Allen more than enough time to find an open receiver. Really, really impressed with the job they are all doing on that line. Team penalties against the Phins 3 for 16 yards! Now that's discipline. This game wasn't the Ravens against the 4-11-1 Bengals. Or the Browns against starters being rested. Or the Colts playing against a 1-15 Jags team. That Dolphins defense was the #1 points allowed and the #1 in turnovers. They ended the season at +9. The Buffalo Bills absolutely destroyed them... Josh Allen 224 passing yards, 3 TDs in the first half before they sat him. The only reason Miami scored 26 was because the Bills rested their starters in the second half. Buffalo, hottest team in the NFL IMO
