R U Serious? I've been a Buffalo Bills fan for so long... waited and watched this franchise for so many seasons under an owner who thought it was more profitable to keep the fans just on the edge of winning...while keeping butts in the seats. Wanna know the reason as to why the franchise hired Chan Gailey? Because Chan told the owner he could win games without star players! He believed him. The Buffalo Bills currently have very wealthy owners and while concerned about the team making a profit...their living isn't dependent upon it. They are determined to field a winning team, win a super bowl. The Buffalo Bills have not only found a franchise QB under a wizard of a GM...they might have found one of the best to ever play the position. Has the NFL ever seen a QB play a perfect playoff game?...he had more TDs then incompletions against the hated division rival New England Patriots! Josh Allen, 21 of 25 for 308 yards, 5 TDs passing, 66 yards rushing. becoming the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for 300 yards, run for 60 yards, and have five touchdowns passes in a playoff game. No Punts... While Stephon Diggs was being doubled against KC in the next playoff game, his teammate WR Gabe Davis did something that NFL great WR Jerry Rice had never done... that was catch an NFL record four touch down passes in a playoff game. No NFL fan on earth wanted to see that Divisional playoff game between Buffalo and Kansas city end...36-42. Buffalo lost a heartbreaker. Only to be bored beyond belief watching the SB between two third place teams. Actually at 10-7, the Bengals were behind Tennessee 12-5, Kansas 12-5, Buffalo 11-6. So, the SB sucked a bit. It is a great time to be an NFL fan and especially a Buffalo Bills fan! Great owners, great GM, HC, great players. You now... might be able to surmise my answer.

Colts to either trade or cut Carson Wentz
Nihilarian replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
Report: Colts likely to trade or release Carson Wentz. "The reason March 18 is significant is that Wentz’s contract calls for his full $22 million base salary to be guaranteed, and for him to receive a $6.29 million roster bonus, if he’s still on the roster on March 18. If Wentz is released before then, the Colts are still on the hook for $15 million of his base salary, but they’d be off the hook for the other $13.29 million." https://www.yahoo.com/sports/report-colts-likely-trade-release-183716743.html There is a long list of FA QBs this off season https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/all/quarterback/ The Bills currently have one on their roster who is better than Wentz. They won't find a trade partner for that bum. The Titans could also be looking for a new QB too. OH, BTW. "The Colts gave up their first-round pick in this year’s draft and a third-round pick last year for Wentz. Obviously they wouldn’t have done that if they had thought Wentz would be one-and-done, but given his disastrous play at the end of the season as the Colts were knocked out of playoff contention, it’s unsurprising that the team has apparently decided to move on." -
Joe Burrow managed to do what he did in 2021, 4600 yards passing, 34 TDs while getting sacked 51 times. Heck, the kid was sacked 9x against the Titans in that playoff game and still went 28 for 37 for 348 yards. He had the crap beaten out of him in that SB with a record 7 sacks I think of Burrow right up there with Allen, Herbert, Mahomes as one of the top young QBs in the AFC. I think it might be tougher for Mahomes now with McDaniel's as Raiders HC...hoping anyway.

The Bengals FA pickup of Trey Hendrickson paid off too. The Patriots picking up Matt Judon helped them. Gotta be a top defensive player FA that can make a difference for Buffalo. Wonder if Beane can make a Diggs type trade for someone?
-
Naa, he was getting his ass handed to him with a SB record 7 sacks. The Bengals fix their line and they are contenders.
-
The Bills need a game wrecker like Donald... and a better O line with better backups! Gee, wonder if the Bengals will draft for the O line.
-
Was Daboll calling plays?
-
Clearly, Trading for Mathew Stafford made a difference for the Rams.
-
Those FA pickups for big money didn't make the difference. It was feeding Cooper Kupp and Aaron Donald doing his thing!
-
It's raining in Spain!
-
Some dude plunked 5 million on the Bengals...wonder how he feels now?
-
Aaron !!!
-
Ramsey getting toasted this game...
-
A FG will tie it. Can Burrow pull off a Ma'homies
-
Gee, I wonder who caught it...
-
At least they are now attempting to get it to Kupp
-
I know why the Bengals are running it...to keep Burrow alive.
-
The Bengals defense was ranked 17th in points allowed, 18th in yards allowed. They are playing like a top 5 defense. Or that top ten Rams offense fell off the earth. Where the heck is Cooper...you know, the offensive player
-
7 sacks on Burrow now.
-
What stinks is knowing that the Bills could beat either of these teams.

How bad is it for Lesile Frazier?
Nihilarian replied to Marvlevydraftdaygenius's topic in The Stadium Wall
That Buffalo defense was 15 yards off the LoS, besides the 4 D linemen! AND the entire middle of the field was wide open! The first pass to Hill for 19 yards with Edmunds an Teron Johnson making the tackle. This put them at the Kansas 44 yard line. The second pass when to Travis Kelce over the middle for 25 yards with Levi Wallace making the tackle. Now at the Buffalo 31 for a 49 yard FG. The Bills were in a prevent defense, 7 defenders 15 yards off the LoS, save the D line. The Bengals never went into a prevent, AND never left the entire middle of the field WIDE OPEN. Now, perhaps McD needs to take the blame for that defense. My point is... that everyone will remember it was Leslie Frazier as the Buffalo defensive coordinator. As for Mahomes taking the blame for that loss to the Bengals. The Chiefs won the toss in OT. Mahomes threw deep to Hill and hit him in the hands...it bounced off his hands and was intercepted by Bell. I don't put that on the QB. Hill catches that ball at the Cincy 40 and its a different game. -

Everyone touting that #1 Buffalo Bills passing defense...out of 17 games, 9 were against either backups, rookies or scrub QBs. That Buffalo defense lost to two rookie QBs in 2021 in Mac Jones, Trevor Lawrence. 552 yards of offense given up to the Chiefs in that playoff game. Loss to the Steelers, loss to the Colts, loss to the Patriots, loss to the Bucs...in OT with a Brady to Perriman 58 yard TD pass. Why, because LB Tremaine Edmunds was covering a WR. That 13 seconds by a Frazier defense...the guy will never live that down. Everyone will remember that disaster of a defense in covering the sidelines...while allowing two of the best receivers in the game, Hill for 19 yards, Kelce for 25 yards. Giving them the whole middle of the field. You don't jam them at the line, don't double them?... even LB Edmunds 15 yards off the LoS, 6 DBs with 2 safeties deep in a prevent? I like Leslie Frazier, just don't much care for his defense sometimes. OTOH, Look at what the Bengals did to stymie Mahomes, Incredible. -
Lies, damned lies and statistics! Just looking at the defensive numbers this season and them being ranked #1 overall against the pass you'd think the Bills were a great defense or had a great pass rush. Newp, not even close to being great! The KC playoff game proved that by giving up 552 yards of offense. The Bills beat up on some bad backup scrub QBs 5x and played rookie QBs 3x, along with "stick a fork in him", Cam Newton. Anyway, the two games that stand out to me for the regular season in 2021... as in seared in my memory forever!! Are the week 9 loss to the 2-6 Jacksonville Jaguars with the 30th ranked defense. One of the very worst teams in the NFL the past few years. In 2020, 1-15 and the Jags again get the first pick of the 2022 NFL draft. Buffalo, 14 1/2 point favorites in this game. The Jags held that vaunted high powered 2020-2021 Buffalo Bills offense to just 2 FGs and won 6-9. Josh Allen sacked 4x, 29 pressures, 21 hurries, 8 QB hits. Meanwhile, Buffalo 47 pass attempts vs 9 rush attempts by Bills RBs. Pass game isn't working...just keep throwing. The other game was the humiliating loss to the Colts 15-41. Beaten down by a run first team with a scrub at QB. Carson Wentz 11 of 20 for 106, 1 TD. RB Jonathan Taylor 32 rushes for 185 yards, 4 TDs. Tough to watch the interviews in the Colts locker room after the game...with them laughing about how bad Buffalo was... Bills DC Leslie Frazier asked about keeping the defense in dime coverage. He stated that the Bills should be able to stop the run with the same players by stacking the box. Clearly not! This changed later in the season as the defense did sub in bigger players to stop the run. Since the Tampa bay second half the Buffalo offense found that running the ball with the RBs does wonders for the offense. That, along with Josh Allen forcing his will to win helped Buffalo to a 5 game win steak. Two nearly perfect playoff games by the Buffalo QB...until, he was unfortunately unable to save the team from a disastrous defensive scheme with 13 seconds remaining. The Bills ST's coach seems to have taken the heat from that loss. Yet, that kick itself was irrelevant in my view. I'm thinking the 2022 Bills offense should be similar to what we watched in the last five games. JMHO.

Just saying... Jim Schwartz is out there looking for DC job
Nihilarian replied to tomur67's topic in The Stadium Wall
No way this team does anything with Leslie Frazier this offseason considering the political climate of today. Besides, the Buffalo Bills don't have the horses to run that wide 9 scheme atm. JMO Change is due though at some point as far too many screw ups this season with that supposed #1 defense... that gave up 41 points to a run first team with a scrub QB. 32 rushes for 185 yards, 4 TDs for RB Taylor. A team that the crappy 3-14 Jacksonville Jaguars kept from making the playoffs in week 18, and beat them 11-26. The Bills DC on stopping the run while still playing a nickle scheme...If we stack the box that should be enough. It clearly wasn't! And yeah! 552 yards of offense given up to the Chiefs. -

I don't hate it...I simply don't watch it.
