  1. Yay for Teron Johnson!!!!!!
  2. This is bad, the offense can't do squat, and the defense is squat. It's like they didn't game plan at all.
  3. Yeah, it's time to become another version of the NY Jets or Miami Dolphins. Who did the Titans just fire? Let's hire him!
  4. I'm kind of hoping they win a few, so the regime stays the same. Don't care to see them get a top 5 pick in the draft either.
  5. Buffalo had some uncharacteristic bad luck against the Patriots, the turnovers, the ref calls, and speaking of the latter, has lead ref Shawn Hochuli ever worked a game in which the Buffalo Bills won? A truly egregious miss by that crew of Shawn Hoculi’s. After spending an entire game calling close to two dozen flags, none thrown on a third-down incomplete pass to Khalil Shakir, where cornerback Christian Gonzales sure appeared to make early contact. No replay was shown before going to commercial, and nothing was mentioned about the play the rest of the game. This wasn't the sole reason Buffalo lost that game, as it was a sloppy mess, and the Buffalo defense allowed Diggs 12 targets, 10 receptions for 146 yards. The Bills had no answer for Diggs, mostly because their defense is so injury-riddled and not playing up to what they are normally capable of doing. Yes, Tre White looked bad, but so did the rest, except for Cole Bisho, who is looking better. Rapp, Benford, and Teron Johnson were not so good. Buffalo did manage a decent pass rush with four sacks, along with 8 QB hits. Still, they got away from what they do best in only running Cook 15 times and only throwing 6 times to Kincade, who had 108 yards receiving for those measly receptions. Plus, those Buffalo turnovers really gave NE an edge, and JA didn't play with his usual tenacity.
  6. NFL defenses usually don't take long to catch up to what the current NFL offenses or what QBs are doing. When Buffalo had Stephon Diggs as their #1 WR and threw a lot of passes his way, he caught a lot of passes tight up until the playoffs when teams have better players and better schemes.. Then, not so good, in fact, in his last game in Buffalo against the Chiefs had 8 targets for 3 receptions for 21 yards. Pretty crappy for #1 WR in the playoffs, and this was not the first time he disappeared in the playoffs. What a lot of Bills fans don't get is that opposing teams pick their poison on how they want to stop an offense like Buffalo. The Bills have a speedy WR in Curtis Samuel, who runs a 4.31-4.37, who has enough speed to catch those deep balls, "IF" Buffalo wanted to throw deep. Palmer is another who can get separation "IF" the Bills choose to throw to him. Right now, Palmer has a completion percentage of 50% which is not that good. A lot of the Buffalo offense comes down to how much Joah Allen trusts his receivers. Shakir and Coleman both have 29 targets each, and Coleman has a better success percentage in catches at 69%. Shakir is at 55.2, Kincade is at 66.7. Knox at 60%. Moore has a 40%. Whom do you think JA trusts the most? The Buffalo offense under Joe Brady has become a "run first" offense with a tough, gritty pound-it-out run game. This has improved the offense by keeping turnovers somewhat limited, as Josh doesn't need to put on the cape and take as many chances. Buffalo can still throw the ball better than most, as we go back and watch that fourth quarter against the Ravens. Buffalo, with their bend but don't break defense, means they don't want to give up the big play, so they allow teams to nickel and dime them up the field, with the Bills looking for them to make a mistake along the way. Last season, they did as Buffalo led the league in turnover ratio at +24. Meaning they also didn't turn the ball over on offense by taking chances with low-percentage pass plays.
  7. Buffalo might not get their secondary right until week 10 or so, and will it survive the next five games? Getting those suspended players back after the bye should help quite a bit, as they should improve the Buffalo pass rush. Still, I question Hairston's being of value, as the kid hasn't even practiced since before training camp. Letting Douglas leave looks to be a bad move right now. Is there a CB worthy of being traded for out there?
  8. It's okay, Eagle players lose one game over the past year after they win a Super Bowl and have a players-only meeting like they are the Ravens at 1-4. Speaking of the Eagles, their fans are melting down because they lost one game, and are so upset because they are not dominating other teams. They lost to Denver at home, and you would think the world was ending with so much crying, whining. There is even some talk about them changing their HC/GM. Some fans are just never happy... I don't get it either. This man went to the team owner and outright told him that Tom Brady was washed up. He believed him, so they let Tom leave...only to see him win a Super Bowl with Tampa. Who was washed up, oh yeah, the HC they fired! BTW, how is that Bill Belichick #1 pick by the Patriots, Cole Strange doin'? Bills fans want this clown for head coach?
  9. Another thread that Bills fans can come to and complain that this team with the best QB on the planet hasn't won a Super Bowl. I say another because there is still the Beans and Sean - Should we miss the SB again? Thread this same week. I have to question, are these really Buffalo Bills fans wanting these changes, considering what happened between 1999 and 2017? Gregg Williams-Mike Mularkey-Dick Jauron-Perry Fewell-Chan Gailey-Doug Marrone-Rex Ryan. I suppose these people are also forgetting Kay Stephenson-Hank Bullough-Harvey Johnson-John-Rauch-Joe Colier-Buster Ramsey. Which happened in between some of the winning seasons. Dan Fouts was also considered a great QB. Did he ever get to a Super Bowl? Anyway, some of you need to go read that thread and stop this nonsense about changing coaches/GMs. As there is no better head coach out there besides Andy Reid. So most want Sean McVay as the new Buffalo HC because he won a Super Bowl with Matthew Stafford at QB over the Bengals. He also lost one with Jared Goff at QB to the Patriots. McVay is 83-54 in his 9 years as an NFL HC. Sean McDermott is 90-46 in his 9 years as an NFL HC. McD coaches in a tougher conference with the most winning team in the NFL over the last 5 seasons, the Chiefs. The ONLY HC better than McD has been Andy Reid. My thoughts are that he will retire before taking another HC job. 5 Super Bowls, 3 wins. Lastly, This current owner saw what he got after he hired his first HC in Rex Ryan ...which didn't go well for two seasons. The difference was and is night and day! I can tell you guys right now, there is no way in hell this owner changes his head coach or GM for that matter. Go on, keep wasting your time.
  10. Believe it or not, Sean McDermott was a first-time NFL HC hire by Buffalo. McD was the Carolina DC before coming here, and before that, he was the DC in Philly under Andy Reid. His roots go back to 1999, and he was an NFL scouting coordinator for the Eagles, Assistant HC, Defensive quality control, assistant DB coach, secondary, and linebackers, then DC. Don't some of you realize the culture the man has built in Buffalo? What are the words "the process"? NFL players now love coming and playing in Buffalo. This simply wasn't the case before McD, as players didn't like the small city, small media life, the small nightlife, or the cold weather. Now it's a family affair, and players feel the brotherly love towards each other. This type of atmosphere simply doesn't happen very often with other NFL teams. Where was the Bills mafia previous to 2017? In his first year in Buffalo, McD took this team to the playoffs with Tyrod Taylor and Nathan Peterman at QB. His first draft, before Beane even got to Buffalo, the Bills drafted Tre White, Dion Dawkins, and Matt Milano. McD wasn't happy with the way the Buffalo offense was headed, so he fired his first hire at OC in Rick Dennison. Side note, Bobby Babich was LBers' coach at that time. McD hired Brian Daboll as his next OC, and Brandon Beane came on board as GM right after that 2017 draft. For 2018, Beane traded up a few times to the #7 spot to draft QB Josh Allen. McD has made many changes to his coaching staff over the years, and he does like to promote within. Side note, the Cleveland Browns passed on Josh Allen not once but twice. The majority of this board was clamoring for Buffalo to give up the farm to trade up to the #2 spot with the NY Giants...to draft Josh Rosen! Yeah, that's right, as very few of the Bills fans wanted JA, as he was labeled too inaccurate. A noted poster on this site rated him as a third-round pick due to his inaccuracy. Cleveland, NYG, NYJ, Cleveland, Denver, and Indy all passed on Allen in that draft. Beane and McD knew who they wanted and went after him. The rest, as they say, is history. This current owner saw what he got after he hired his first HC in Rex Ryan ...which didn't go well for two seasons. The difference was and is night and day! I can tell you guys right now, there is no way in hell this owner changes his head coach or GM for that matter.
  11. Hey, I agree with a lot here. However, that #1 WR we had in Diggs faded at the end of the season and went invisible in the playoffs the last few times. The good teams can take away a #1 WR and perhaps even two of them. Buffalo had the #! scoring offense in 2024 without that #1 guy, who is almost always a diva and wants the ball every play. A #1 WR isn't going to make or break this offense come playoff time. Diggs' last game for Buffalo against KC, 8 targets, 3 receptions for 21 yards! All game long. The Chiefs had LJarius Sneed and Trent McDuffie at CB...two of the best. Sneed was covering Diggs in the first half and went to cover Shakir in the second half. This CB hadn't allowed a TD to anyone all year long until Shakir caught a TD in that game. And yeah, Buffalo ended up drafting Kaiir Elam because the Chiefs traded up right before them in the draft to steal away CB Trent McDuffie. Elam was a mental case, and he needed to go after getting smoked by KC last year. The main reason the Buffalo secondary looked so bad against the Patriots is simple. Tre White played poorly and was toasted by Diggs. If the rest of the secondary were playing up to par, he wouldn't look so bad. All of the Buffalo starters are having a subpar year, except perhaps Cole Bishop. A player who missed a lot of time at the start of last year and is still learning as he goes. Christian Benford, who was a star CB the last two seasons, is not looking so good this year. With Dorian Strong out and Hairston on IR, things might not get better until after the bye. I wouldn't be surprised if Beane traded for a CB at this point because who knows how long it will take to get that #1 pick up to speed, as he hasn't practiced since July? The Buffalo defense is doing better than it looks, considering all the problems they have right now. Then look at the Baltimore Ravens and all their injuries 1-4. I can't even imagine what this board would be like if Buffalo were 1-4.
  12. Do so many Bills fans forget that this team is currently 4-1 and at the top of the AFC with Jacksonville and Indy? Daniel Jones, really? The bleating endlessly about changing the GM/HC because the team hasn't made it to a Super Bowl or won one with Joah Allen. Allow me to give some insight, as #17 is not perfect Josh Allen scrambled out of the pocket on the final scoring drive against the New England Patriots in a recent game, missing a wide-open Curtis Samuel as he anticipated pressure that didn't materialize, instead forcing a pass that was almost intercepted. The play design would have worked if Allen had stayed in the pocket, but his premature scramble negated the opportunity, resulting in a late and hurried throw to a different receiver. Samuel's Opportunity: While Allen was scrambling, a wide-open Curtis Samuel was running toward the opposite side of the field, creating a potentially easy touchdown. STUFF HAPPENS! So many fans seem to forget that the 2024 Buffalo Bills were the highest scoring offense in the league, playoffs included. The Bills made it to the AFC Championship game only to be screwed by the refs in spotting the ball ...not inches off target ...but feet. So much so that the NFL has now changed how it makes controversial spots. Now, in this last game, the lead ref is Shawn Hoculi, and he has a thing against the Buffalo Bills, it seems.
  13. What don't some of you understand that it's a team sport and all facets matter? In 2023, a God at QB named Josh Allen was 6-6, throwing to Stephon Diggs and about to lose the division to the 9-3 Miami Dolphins. Instead, this HC FIRED the OC in Ken Dorsey and replaced him with Joe Brady. Now what did that mean? It meant that the offensive structure of pass first and pass, pass, pass, as it was under Brian Daboll, was no longer working, and NFL defenses had adapted to that style of Buffalo offense being one-dimensional. Now, since Joe Brady has taken over the Buffalo offense, it has become a more run-oriented attack, which has helped Josh Allen become a better NFL QB with fewer turnovers. Currently, the 2025 Buffalo Bills, after week five, are #3 overall on offense. #1 in rushing attempts, #2 in rushing yards, #2 in rushing TDs. Meanwhile, #20 in passing yards, #11 in passing TDs. What this means is that Buffalo is so good at running the ball with RB James Cook, they are second in the league in running with Cook only behind Indy and Jonathan Taylor. In passing, they are 9th, in receiving, they are 46th with Kahil Shakir...why? Because "everybody eats," meaning that all the Bills' receivers will see the ball in a game. While I also love #17, he is not the end-all, be-all, as it's a more balanced offense now. Last season, the 2024 Buffalo Bills were the #1 scoring team in the NFL, playoffs included. They just ran into a better team at their end of the season and had some injuries in the secondary. They also had very little pass rush, pressure, and Buffalo's defense was 29th in 3rd downs allowed. Buffalo was 13-4, but alas, the KC Chiefs were 15-2, and they had home-field advantage. Bottom line, the 2024 Buffalo Bills led the NFL in takeaways at +24 and yet only had one turnover from KC. The Bills couldn't get the Chiefs off the field on 3rd down. Plus, in the playoffs against the Kansas City Chiefs in January 2025, the Buffalo Bills sustained injuries to Christian Benford (concussion) Starter, who was ruled out after the AFC Championship game, and Taylor Rapp (hip) Starter, who was ruled out for the same game due to a hip injury in the previous round. Backup CB Kaiir Elam was burned badly in this game, and the Bills started a rookie at Safety. Those defensive injuries and the lack of pressure on the QB and the inability to get the opposing offense off the field on 3rd down are the reasons the Bills went heavy on the defensive side of the ball this offseason. Currently, Buffalo is dealing with suspensions to two D-line players and some injuries to rookies in their secondary. Things should look better after the bye week. Have some patience.
  14. Allow me to reiterate the above. I don't want to see Buffalo become a Cleveland, Chicago, or NY Jets anytime soon. I get it, it's frustrating. Just be careful what you wish for...
  15. This shows what you know... Rex Ryan was a moron who took the best defensive line in the league (2014 Buffalo), which had the most sacks (54), and then had the drop into pass coverage or take on O linemen so the crappy linebackers could make the plays. His defensive scheme, which he used despite not having the proper players to run it. Ryan took a 9-7 team and made them worse in Buffalo.
  16. Oh man, they are wasting Josh Allen's best years...cry...whine...piss...moan! Buffalo was 6-6 in 2023, and Miami was 9-3 at week 14. Things were not looking good for Buffalo to win the division. McD went on to fire Bills OC Ken Dorsey and replace him with Joe Brady. Buffalo went on to play Miami in Miami for the last regular-season game and won. Thus, taking the division. Josh Allen made mistakes in this last game against the Patriots, as he is not a god but a mortal human who makes mistakes at times. He needs a strong supporting cast, and he usually has one most of the season. The ONLY team with more wins over the last 5 seasons has been the KC Chiefs, and this GM/HC has built a culture here in Buffalo that hasn't been seen since the early 90's. Even then, this franchise hasn't had bottom-of-the-barrel seasons to gain that first overall pick like a Bruce Smith. This regime has managed to find an elite QB by trading and not by losing. Every year, they draft at the back of the draft and attempt to find the best players they can. Pretty darn good job to stay at the top of the AFC year after year. Currently, the injuries that usually happen at the end of the season have happened at the start to some rookies who are desperately needed to bolster the secondary. The current Buffalo Bills GM/HC is among the very best in the NFL, and thinking that somehow things will get better if they are replaced is a pipe dream, meaning those who are thinking this are doing opium in a pipe. Quantifying the exact odds of hiring a better replacement for a fired NFL head coach is impossible, but historical data and analysis show it is an extremely difficult task with a low success rate. While teams often see a small initial bump in performance, this is frequently a result of "regression to the mean," and sustained success is elusive. Some Buffalo Bills fans can't stand limited success, so they want to join the Cleveland Browns in a never-ending search for a better GM/HC. Or perhaps become the NY Jets, whose last playoff win was the 1968 Super Bowl.
  17. Hey, I have a question. Have the Buffalo Bills ever won a game with Shawn Hoculi as referee? I have my doubts...did a Bills player or fan do his wife or daughter, as he seems to hate the Buffalo Bills?
  18. Haters gonna hate! It was McD that swallowed the whistle on that flagrant non-call of pass interference. The no-call occurred late in the game on a third-down incompletion intended for Bills wide receiver Khalil Shakir. The missed call: Many observers believed that Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez made clear contact with Shakir before the ball arrived, which should have resulted in a pass interference penalty. The outcome: No flag was thrown on the play. This forced the Bills to settle for a field goal try, which was missed, instead of getting a first down inside the red zone. Damn him and his best pal Shawn Hochuli.

  20. In any regard, it's tough to beat the Patriots and the Refs...whistle swallowing seems to be a thing against the Bills.
  21. Taylor Rapp and Cole Bishop are not as bad as Tre White looked out there. And even behind them, you have Cam Lewis and Demar Hamlin. Bishop is still learning and getting better. The weakest area of that secondary in my view is ...Ingram and Strong are the backups, and that is worrisome to me. Tre'Davious White's struggles: While Diggs beat multiple players, he reportedly had particular success against cornerback Tre'Davious White, whose coverage was described as poor. Cole Bishop's missed tackle: Safety Cole Bishop was beaten on a crucial play when he missed a tackle on Diggs, allowing the receiver to turn a short pass into a 30-yard gain. This set up a Patriots touchdown that gave them a 20-10 lead in the fourth quarter. The thing is, Bishop should get better, and that missed tackle should haunt him. Doubtful White will get better.
  22. The Patriots have a much easier schedule with only the Bucs as a tough opponent. Umm, well, and perhaps Buffalo at NE. That is, if Buffalo fixes their secondary. Pats schedule, Saints, Titans, Browns, Falcons, Bucs, Jets, Bengals, Giants, Bills, Ravens, Jets, and Dolphins. Buffalo schedule, @ Falcons, @ Panthers, Chiefs, @ Dolphins, Bucs, @ Texans, @ Steelers, Bengals, @ Patriots, @ Browns, Philly, NY Jets.
  23. What one area won that game for the Patriots? I'd say that Diggs had a great game, and the Buffalo secondary had no answer! Diggs, 10 receptions for 146 yards, literally tormented the Buffalo secondary. As for Buffalo's offense, Kincade had 6 receptions for 108 yards with 6 targets. He should have seen more targets, pure and simple. This alone might have changed the outcome. Cook has 15 carries for 45 yards, a 33.3 YPC average. Ray Davis 2 carries for one yard...what happened to this guy?
  24. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-trade-deadline-2025-buyers-sellers-candidates-rumors/ Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs: We're not so sure Jerry Jones is ready to part with yet another splashy defender in the wake of the Micah Parsons breakup, but Diggs is now in and out of the starting lineup as part of Dallas' porous secondary, and dealing him would clear tens of millions off the Cowboys' books from 2025-2028. Browns CB Greg Newsome II: Cleveland boasts one of the NFL's stingiest defenses, and Newsome is a part of that, logging two pass breakups and two tackles for loss in the Browns' first four. Still, he's due to hit free agency after the season, and the Browns could arguably still use as much draft capital as they can get.
