Gotta be Howard or a S in round 1
Blokestradamus replied to BuffaloBud420's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm okay with Marshon Lattimore, Marlon Humphrey, Corey Davis, Malik McDowell, Reuben Foster, either of the top safeties. Maybe Jon Allen if his medicals check out okay. Bigger advocate for the trade-down though. I want as many picks as possible in this class and there's a plethora of late teens / early 20's prospects that I'd love to get my hands on. -
I fully understand that logic. Hell, I might even agree with that. I saw that PFF had Kizer as the No. 1 QB in passer rating from play action and like 60-something without. It just affirms my belief that most of his troubles are due to his footwork and that PA sort of regulates(?) that aspect. His peaks are higher than any QB in the class but he's just not in rhythm enough as a passer to be consistent at this point. He's only just 21 so I believe that growth is possible for him in the right situation. As H2o was stating, I don't think Brian Kelly did anything good for him and I'll choose to believe in his raw talent. Just don't use a 1st on him and I'll be good with it.

Why Not Kick the Can on Adrian Peterson
Blokestradamus replied to a topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, aren't you sweet? Also, Peterson can go run full-tilt into the OL somewhere else. -
2017 NFL Mock Drafts & Top Prospects
Blokestradamus replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in College Football
They do need to replace Danny Woodhead so I'm not against that idea. -
Numbers on Jelani Jenkins. I swear, I'm kidnapping Reggie one of these days. @caplannfl New #Raiders LB Jelani Jenkins signed a 1-year deal worth $1m with $100k fully gtd. Another $1m available with incentives.

2017 NFL Mock Drafts & Top Prospects
Blokestradamus replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in College Football
I've only seen a highlight reel so far. Draft Breakdown has a couple games up so if they add a couple more, I might make some notes. I tried emailing one of his coaches at Ashland a couple months ago for some game film. No reply -
2017 NFL Mock Drafts & Top Prospects

With Youngstown State DE Derek Rivers visiting the Bills at some point on a pre-draft visit, I took a look at his game. http://billswire.usatoday.com/2017/03/22/bills-2017-nfl-draft-targets-youngstown-state-de-derek-rivers-scouting-report/ -

2017 NFL Mock Drafts & Top Prospects
Blokestradamus replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in College Football
I think his hands need to be a little sharper. My biggest concern is that DT's will be on him quicker so not striking quickly will be a bigger issue than on the edge. Also wanted to strengthen his core a little more to help him sustain blocks. From what I can tell, he's been working on that so he should be okay. Had some concerns with his arrest (along with Reddick) but he's a lovely dude. Takes notice when you tweet about him, good and bad. -
2017 NFL Mock Drafts & Top Prospects

I really don't see the hype with Johnson. Okay, he's really big, that's about it. He's like Le'Raven Clark where his length is actually a net negative because arms that long need a tight, compact punch and he doesn't have that. Lacks functional strength and bulk, get destroyed by a safety body playing edge vs Ole Miss. I have a hard time believing pro scouts look at his tape and think he's top-75 material. Robinson is definitely a tackle for me and I think Dawkins' issues get worse when you put him inside so I'd play him at RT in a heartbeat. Had a quick chat with Dion after the Combine and OG definitely seems to be the way he's getting evaluated but he likes my passion for keeping him outside -
Zach Brown visiting Bills

PFF had him at a team-high 14 missed tackles, tied with Corey Graham. -
I have good news, Ryan. You're my type.

2017 NFL Mock Drafts & Top Prospects

I can't get past the Roderick Johnson #4 OT while having Robinson/Dawkins as guards thing. It's mindboggling. As for Peppers, I get it. Easy to talk up his theory when you never have to worry about the practical application. -
Back to the home of the McCown-copter.

I'm with you on this one. Kinda love them, love the hate I get for it even more. I'm the same with early Coldplay and I rock out like a man possessed to You Oughta Know by Alanis. Top 10 song ever.

I had a vague idea and it was right. You ain't wrong either. Jelani can be a really decent nickel LB when healthy but I don't know if he will be again. Kinda wanted to find out.
-
Damn you, making me Google obscure American things.
-
Not seeing anything but I know like 20 teams use PFF for analysis and he was their worst LB of 2016. Can't imagine it was much, which was kinda why I wanted him.

Jelani Jenkins signed with Oakland. Funny enough, he was the cut-price hope for WLB I had should Zach not come back. Guess the Raiders felt the same way

Bills re-sign Brandon Tate
Blokestradamus replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Going to interesting to see how ST shapes the bottom end of the WR group. Tate for KR/PR, Holmes plays gunner. Might have to carry 6 just to make sure every base gets covered. -
Find me a versatile Corner in the draft
Blokestradamus replied to Jamie Muellers Ghost's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He didn't fall on my to-do list so I've only watched enough to get a baseline. I'd agree with the 2nd round grade from what I've seen. He's one of about 6-7 corners that wouldn't surprise me if they went top 32 but I didn't see him as a special player. Testing numbers tend to see pundits overcorrect initially so his stock should settle back down before the draft starts. Strikes me as a bit of a speculative pick. You hope that you can iron out some of his processing issues with more experience and coaching. Frame & AA works for me, has the ball skills too. Not entirely sure he's a Bills fit though, prefer him playing press-man and letting him tie someone up rather than play in space and pass off route combos. I have no accrued years in the NFL. Pay me UDFA minimum salary and I'll do it.
