Sounds like LB early is a possibility
Blokestradamus replied to billspro's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have toyed with a scenario where they ask Jamal Adams to bulk up to the 220-225 range and let him be a short area terror playing WLB. Other guys I could see are Montae Nicholson, Rayshawn Jenkins, Nate Gerry. -

In response to that tweet: @SteveDraft_ 18m18 minutes ago Steve Retweeted Nick de la Torre I said this was going to happen months ago. Had info on him from high school. Doesn't work out, completely unprofessional off the field. I've said it since last year that I didn't really see the hype with him on the field but his tape is solid Day 2 value. He's nothing special. If the tweet above and some of the stuff I've heard said about him is true, he might end up UDFA. -
That 2004 'Canes class was pretty decent as well. Sean Taylor, Vince Wilfork, Kellen Winslow, Jon Vilma in the 1st round. Vernon Carey started 107 games. Exceptionally top-heavy class though. Wilfork is potentially HOF-worthy and Taylor's play was well on the way to doing similar.

Mock if you must but on the few snaps he got last year, Humber played WILB pretty well. I'd rather add a starter and keep him in reserve but it's no secret that I like the guy. -

Not working out might've been better for Teez! @NickdelaTorreGC Teez Tabor timed at 4.73, 4.75, 4.77 in the 40 from scouts here in Gainesville. #Gators -
When have you ever known me to be serious? I just like to wind up fans of every big CFB team, the joys of having no ties to anyone.

Bills claim DE Scott Crichton
Blokestradamus replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The mistake hath been rectified. I cannot tell you how much I love Scott. Career hasn't panned out like I hoped but I think there's some untapped potential there. -
And none is ideal.

We have a very similar process. I have messed around with templates for scouting reports through Google Sheets but I find it laborious to take written notes and then type them up. I'm one of those people that has to write things down. I have such a bad memory that it's the only way that everything sticks. At this point, I'm not planning to write anything on the 2018 class so that might be a good way of splitting the difference. I'll make it accessible to you horrible lot and everything. Pure transparency. -

I don't see any real red flags in that. A lot of it reads as being a victim of circumstance rather than him being a bad guy. The white board stuff; I can understand why it might put a team off. I think one of the greatest qualities that a coach needs is the ability to understand his charges and adapt to them. 53 guys on a roster or even 5-6 in a position group, you'll have different personalities and ways of learning. I don't watch him on the field and think he's mentally deficient in any way whatsoever. Given all of the circumstantial stuff, I'd understand if the incident at the Combine cast doubts over the rest of it. It just doesn't for me. -

I can see that being plausible. I hadn't heard of anything prior to the Combine about Foster but seldom are we privy to everything. -
I'll take 50% as a successful venture.

No idea who the fat bloke wearing #99 is on the Cal offense but he's easily my favourite player on that team. Davis Webb is a painful watch. I've fallen in and out of love about 6 times and now I hate him. Positional value, the incident at the Combine or not sure he's there? -

There's also Kent Lee Platte's RAS (Relative Athletic Score) spreadsheet. Kent is compiling as much data as possible, has everything from the Combine and is working to fill out as much Pro Day data as possible. Stuff like arm length doesn't always come out from a Pro Day so it might not be useful for that. For everything else though, it's a work of art. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1EXhJ9NIiuyAPNMGpBczBYnD9mCKN6pbwXN2daW96Zf0/edit#gid=0 -

Hope this link works, should be 2017 CB's from the Combine sorted by arm length - https://www.mockdraftable.com/search?position=CB&beginYear=2017&endYear=2017&sort=DESC&page=1&measurable=arms -

To be fair, he didn't say that they were NFL teams. You do realise that when Kizer ends up being the best QB in the class, I'm going to be insufferable, right? -

I really like it, although I'm not sure it's entirely realistic. This one through First-Pick definitely isn't Round 1 Pick 17 (WASH): Marlon Humphrey, CB, Alabama Round 2 Pick 12: DeShone Kizer, QB, Notre Dame Round 2 Pick 17 (WASH): Cam Robinson, OT, Alabama Round 3 Pick 11: Chris Godwin, WR, Penn State Round 3 Pick 17 (WASH): Marcus Williams, FS, Utah Round 5 Pick 12: George Kittle, TE, Iowa Round 5 Pick 27: Deatrich Wise Jr., DE, Arkansas Round 6 Pick 17 (WASH): Calvin Munson, OLB, San Diego State Round 7 Pick 15 (CAR): Cameron Johnston, P, Ohio State -

PFF's 3rd-worst LB last year of all qualifiers. From memory, he's a fairly hefty Mike as well, which we already have plenty of. The lack of interest in Gerald Hodges is somewhat unexpected. On a woeful 49ers team, he was really good last year. Would fit the WLB profile.

I kinda feel for Peterman in a way. He's getting hyped up for the wrong reasons, is getting sold as a potential answer and most will buy into that. Then he doesn't work out, ends up as a career backup and people only remember that he didn't meet his draft value. He'll get the last laugh though, especially if he ends up as the next gen Clipboard Jesus. -
The $6.4m for rookies thing is a touch misleading. Only impact from the draft is on the top 51 contracts. Only the 1st, 2nd, 3rd round picks would qualify and the top 51 impact would be a shade over $3m in total.

I rarely do direct comparisons unless they jump out at me. I believe in types a lot more. With that said, his 'type' is similar to Kevin Hogan. Just without the wind-up from his shoes. Shows signs of football IQ but I'd rather that in the film room than on the field. Wouldn't hate him as maybe a 6th rounder as a WCO backup but I would be bricking it if my starter ever got hurt.
