Stefon Diggs is better than Cooper Kupp
YattaOkasan replied to extrahammer's topic in The Stadium Wall
Said it in another thread but I think Diggs is the best outside WR in the league. He gets more production than anyone on the outside than anyone. Wonder if that will continue with Dorsey, but if he got free releases from the slot he could continue to be deadly (e.g. him shaking Jamal Adams out of his jock in 2020) -
Is Allen routinely fooled by pre-snap disguises?
YattaOkasan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think he had it down at the start of 2020. Not sure if you were watching Cover 1 videos but they identified the "Gold" audible against cover 0 early on. To the point that when I could hear it on the broadcast later in the season I would get up expecting a big play. Would also point to his ability to pump fake peeps in 2020 as a way he understood coverage to get people out of position. Agree with your other posts about YAC and his responsibility. -
Preseason week 3: Bills at Panthers 8/26 7pm (local or NFL+)
YattaOkasan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Doyle is almost a lock. Marino has it (and I agree) as 5 starters + 1 (Brown/Quessenberry) as locks then Mancz and Doyle as almost locks with the last spot up for grabs. I think that seems pretty reasonable. Are you saying Kumerow is the backup outside WR though? I dont think this chart is saying that. If anything I think it says Hodgins is the back up outside WR which aligns with who I would expect to be on the field if Diggs goes down. (note this was not my position before TC but feel ok with it now). -
James Cook is going to be a major problem
YattaOkasan replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think moss and cook is also a great combo for similar reasons and then some. Moss has been used as a FB by the bills before. That and moss is the best pass blocker of the RBs with some upside sliding out into a route (obviously nothing like cook). -
I just like up thread where you say it could net us 24-27 points. I don’t think bass misses 8 FG all season so that number is off. We might need that big doofus in case another doofus gets injured. To save maybe 12-15 points on the high side (he missed 6 FG and 2 XP with Bojo as his holder and 4 FG with Haack).

Specifically they have lead the league in total targets in 2020 and 2021 which have lead to number 1 or 2 in Total yards completions And TDs for that time span. Basically all the total volume stats. can’t find a good data source for the rec, TDS, yards but have heard Marino say at least once. The link below shows the total targets by year. So you’re right we are like dead last at RAC (even in 2020, that’s def a real thing) but the passing offense runs through the WRs still. It’s our fastball and it puts up big numbers. Either josh is clear number 1 in the list or this room is at least top 10 cause our RBs and TEs don’t do much (Knox catches Tds and converts big moments) from a raw stats perspective. I really think you don’t understand how good diggs is. Who is better on the boundary? I don’t know that anyone has been more productive in the last two years on the outside than him. Diggs being the best boundary pushes them to the top 10. I get it’s about the room but the alpha gets weighted more cause he does more. You don’t weight everyone in the room equally. In this analysis you should weight WR1 > WR3 + 4. So from that perspective top 10 basically is if we think Gabe Davis can not have his efficiency crater with double the targets and become a top 25 WR. Do you think he won’t be too 25? i addressed your comment on unknown pieces. Do you not agree we put up top numbers in the league production wise? We ain’t replacing anything special I think you agree there? So that’s the answer to why peeps think it’s a top 10 unit. We get some of the most production in the league the past two years and there is no reason to think it won’t continue cause we didn’t lose much and have the best boundary WR in the game. https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/reports/targets-distribution/?year=2021&start=1&end=18

Production the past two years is why. They are top 1 or 2 in most categories. Yeah they have unproven pieces but it’s not as if Beas and sanders are irreplaceable. I know you didn’t mention it about diggs but it’s laughable to say he’s barely top 10. He has more production from the outside than almost any other receiver. He doesn’t get easy yards from playing in the slot like some of the other top guys.
-
Lol. Josh makes them top 5 in production not just top 10. In the past two seasons our WR room has produced pretty much more than any other team. So unless we think sanders and Beasley were that critical to our passing game (think playoffs show otherwise) our WR room is easily top 10 and the production will be top 5 which will be a drop off from previous years.

6? Woah. I’m good with shaq on the PS honestly. Don’t think he would get picked up anywhere else. Call him up from PS for the couple of times we want extra emphasis on setting the edge.

yeah saw that (you saw Keenum started and beat the Broncos too? you seemed to indicate he only won one game) which is why i included their stats to date particularly Barkley's recent experience. Keenum has only had one year with more ints than TDs whereas Barkley only has one year with more Tds than int (both entered the league in 2013). Overall 78 TD : 48 INT >>>> 11 TD : 22 INT, and thats why i think its sorta laughable to say that Keenum would only win us one more game (again I dont think Barkley even beats Bengals resting their starters), if any. I dont think Barkley would win any games and Keenum has a good shot to go better than 0.500.

To the point of coordinators and teaching things. Many coaches host/attend clinics where they talk about what they teach. Many players attend summits and practices together. Heck players change teams all the time. It’s not difficult to know what’s being taught. It’s been discussed that’s how BB grew Brady. He explained to Tom what the coaches were teaching their defenders. This point is to say there is so much sharing now a days that it’s not too difficult to find out what’s being taught. Heck cover 1 has video of Kromer at a clinic talking about incognito and Bobby Johnson talking about Bates. This info is out there already

Disagree strongly. Keenum got 2 wins with the browns last year. I don’t think Barkley gets them any wins. Barkley has had one good game since 2018 against the Jets. You might not like what you’ve seen from keenum so far but he has done much more than Barkley to this point. https://stathead.com/tiny/WmGHY

No sweat. Ton of hot takes around and I probably missed what you were trying to say. There will be a surprise with regards to the roster. Question is sorta where.
-
Lol at the data is only one game. As if their careers to this point didn’t exist. Or that they don’t have contracts. Or that there isn’t a depth chart. Keenum is better. Yeah he doesn’t know the offense well but he has the rest of preseason and presumably part of the regular season to learn. Barkley will be QB3 from the PS. By far the least interesting room (in terms of roster battles) on the team.
-
He got the browns by when he had to start two games last year. That’s all you can ask of a backup. Get me through a couple of games. If he has to salvage a season he would probably be a starter somewhere else.
-
Would say Elam was more of a need as we had to be concerned we only had backup quality at the position (Rex at least had Hughes). But I also trust this FO to make moves to fill needs more than the Whaley FO. I suspect they felt comfortable being able to get him the whole time.

Training Camp All Stars (Fantasy Football)
YattaOkasan replied to Brand J's topic in The Stadium Wall
Mooney feels iffy. His splits with fields weren’t great. He was also pretty boom and bust. I’m not trying to put a lot of shares into that offense -

Good topic. One thing I’m doing quick is looking at who these players are going against. Im gonna short London some considering how bad the falcons secondary is.
