QB and best player on the best team (1 seed in harder conference and pummeled the 1 seed in the other conference, both could rest week 18). All of that is team stuff to me. Lol allen being the only player with 40 TDs and being the only non winner (i need to check that) cause hes done 4 times!!!!!

100% agree its hugely important to W/L which is often why its assigned to QB. It does matter more than any other position, but it is still a team stat. So winning MVP because youre team is really good (49ers, Ravens) and youre the QB doesnt seem correct. Look at the QB specific numbers at least. Give me 4th quarter comebacks (of which josh has 8 this year, but the defense let 4 become L's) which is also a bit of a team thing but is definitely more QB focused cause it takes away defense and special teams (besides the GW FG).

Be careful, steelers fans think the refs screwed them. They are pointing to "fake" Josh slide, late hit, and DPI on 4th down as their examples. I think they didnt get a TO off Josh like they all thought would happen, so they should just accept they lost.

See my comment above. If you think QB W/L record is a QB stat, which implies to me that you think it defines how good a QB is playing, then you mustve thought Stafford got a so much better when he went to the Rams. Just a crazy career resurgence to go from 5-11 to 12-5 means he must have completely changed his game around (this is sarcasm he was pretty much the same player he was the previous 12 years). PFR might not give you the W/L record for every position but you can do the same exercise. Did you see that steelers were 1-11 without watt coming into this game? Its just that analysis.

I dont have PFF but i believe his turnover worthy throw rate is down a good bit. hes just gotten super unlucky on tipped balls and other weird things (taking away drops he is also the most efficient which is crazy). Overall, yeah hes getting screwed by the "narrative." By this logic you think Stafford became a much better QB when we went to LAR. Cause his W/L record is so much better than when he was in Det. So as W/L is a QB stat as said he mustve really regressed just before he was traded. Or maybe hes always been good and the team around him was garbage a few of those years so QB W/L record is not a good stat.

But he only comes in on passing downs as a sub package? Can you provide cause all i have seen and heard is that in the dime package they sub off Dodson and Poyer plays beside Bernard while Rapp plays safety with Micah. -
Will McD get out of Nickel base early enough to win?
YattaOkasan replied to Kingston Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m definitely not taking Taron off for a LB. Agree with everyone saying taron is great against the run, and our next LB up is not gonna be as good overall. if taron comes off I want a iDL in. Poot Ed DQ and ford in the middle with Rousseau and Shaq/Floyd in a bear front against 13 and maybe even 12 personnel (Washington might be too much for us to run nickel). If they wanna throw drop into a cover 3 with one of the DEs covering a flat or hook to curl. I think this is the chess match of the game really. If they play 11 cool we’re in nickel and I trust our DL with single high coverage to stop the run. If they lean into big personnel to run as people expect how do we counter. -

Bit of this is substantiated. I forget where I heard but someone commented that Brady is always looking for Waldo when he game preps. Waldo is the guy they are gonna target. In the dallas game Waldo was Bell I believe, and they ran right at him. I think Apple was waldo against Miami because as soon as Diggs had one on one with him they took the shot,TD to Sherfield was targeting him as well. This game I think one of the LBs will be Waldo and I think Cook and the DKs get going. -

I think there is a good discussion math bomb that could be had about his data set. Particularly about how players have changed. If we look at the last 10 drafts I don’t think Dodson would be undersized considering how much his score increased from 2019 (suggesting most players were below his 237 weight). I think the old school thumper LBs are skewing the dataset. What looks like meh size is probably above average considering the way the body type of position has changed with increase of spread offenses -

That’s his RAS at time of draft. If you update it to the current database you see a change in numbers. Most particularly a big jump in his weight. Sorry size I was going with weight cause yes he is short. Are you only using height to see he undersized. I would say he probably is more dense than most too considering his height weight. I find the change in weight interesting cause the database is always updating. His increase of 0.5 is very indicative that LBs are trending smaller. So in terms of weight not undersized. Lastly 5.00 is average so he’s above average. That might fall as poor in his categories but it’s average. Edit he’s got ok size when RAS recalculated. Mostly held back by his height. Which is meh to me. If this was limited to players in the past 10 drafts I suspect his size would be good and not just ok. Also shuttle and 3 cone is why i didn’t consider him speedy from my eyes. He’s good in a line but wow change of direction bad as you note. Can’t believe you called very poor agility speedy -
Why did clock stop after Allen’s amazing 3rd and 13 run
YattaOkasan replied to Charles Romes's topic in The Stadium Wall
cause after you see someone make the first down you should commit a penalty to stop the clock. its weird but the dolphins benefited from this rule despite being the team that committed the penalty. if we decline the penalty and got the first down on our own we should be able to burn the clock. if we accept the penalty to get the first down then yeah it should stop. -

Appreciate the speed reference but gonna disagree that 237 is undersized. That is above average for a LB all time per RAS and the league is trending down. Also he is the heaviest LB on the team. So yeah i dont like losing our heaviest LB that is good against the run. Felt like you were implying that he was a coverage guy with the undersized and speedy comment. I agree this is the game to choose to be missing coverage players. -

did you just call dodson an undersized speedy LB? cant believe im saying this after his preseason, but i want him for this playoff game. Defending the run is what he does best (he comes off the field on passing down because he is not a speedy LB that covers well). Agree with your overall point that this is the best situation to lose secondary players for.
