  1. Time for the old “let’s run the playbook Josh is comfortable with” plan. I’ve had enough of “Daboll’s a genius” plan.
  2. You should be able to triangulate cell phone signals or measure shadows at the particular latitude, longitude and time of day. C’mon, man!
  3. Had the thread topic been “Media Member evaluation that was debatable at the time and later proved to be erroneous”, I’d agree with you. The criticism of the take when he wrote it, as you say, should be “it was unoriginal and shared by 83% of media members.” Hindsight criticism has limited value because it depends upon, well, hindsight.
  4. Perfect ... I watched it several times and knew “I’d seen that before”, but where? Napoleon Dynamite, indeed!
  5. So true ... can you imagine the same thing on a 3 - 12 team playing its last game? He’d be toast.
  6. I like how they’re kicking people ... hard. Throw deep against the Pats with the game out of hand. Same with the Dolphins. They’re not bastards, they’re kids having a ball and not caring who says what. Big props to coaches and the GM for encouraging, and recognizing, the value of this. They’ll enter the playoffs expecting that they’ll score any down, any distance, anytime.
  7. I would’ve liked to watch the game in a hot tub, with Sophia Loren. You asked.
  8. Do you post this on every NFL board, the Kansas City, Buffalo, Denver, San Francisco and Dallas boards, or just here?
  9. Interesting take. I’ve listened to reporters ask 100 word questions that start with inquiry, pivot to plausible response, and close with a request for affirmation. They interview themselves. You learn not to do that on a high school newspaper. I shake my head. Ask a question that can’t be answered yes or no, using no more than ten words, then shut up and start writing.
  10. I’m trying to imagine an internet blog spot for an NFL franchise where you were discouraged from posting unless you were a subject matter expert with specific inside information on a particular matter. TwoBillsDrive would consist of eleven posts. I am aware you are not not all physicians or otherwise SMEs who personally examined Beasley. Post away. It’s what I’m here for, regardless of your years of fandom, post count, profession, or best high school subject. I’ll not remind you of your lack of bona fides. I’ll read your comment in context, consider the source, and move on. P.S. If your an orthopedic surgeon who examined Cole Beasley after his injury Monday night, PM me. If you’re not, post away!
  11. ‘Whatever the process is, it has them at 12-3 and the talk of the league. Hundreds of decisions are made by dozens of men day after day. None can all be perfect. You need five commas to count the possible outcomes. Surely you acknowledge that. Pointing to a bad outcome as evidence that the process failed is, well ... Life’s not perfect. We’re 12-3 with a chance to tie the best record this franchise has ever had. I’m one of those “process” lovers.
  12. I don’t think there’s a whole lot of doctoring going on. I’ve seen what you describe. I think some measured people are talking about what they saw and what they understand ... kinda like we all do at water coolers and on barstools.
  13. Your first thumbs up. At the elite level, you train, practice and play to win, every day. Rest some starters, sure.
  14. I noticed. I am happy to be a nervous nelly! I walked, too, but NOT after a doctor looked at yet. Good point.
  15. Two things concern me. One, it looked like a “pop” injury on replay. Two, he looked terribly disappointed on the sideline. There were no thumbs up or “I’m good” interactions. I’m no physician. I have no conclusion or diagnosis. I’ve blown two ACLs.
  16. Confluence .... I am not a pedant, but it’s a wonderful word you can use so very rarely. And the Ralph prank is good, clean, fun. Let’s maul ‘em.
  17. An assessment as worthy as the subject. Well done ...
  18. I re-read my post. Frankly, I’m not sure what I was trying to say. Namath WAS NYC. Your Bradshaw comments are great.
