  1. Yep it's a great year to be DT needy and have 10 picks. I don't see any way we don't draft 2 DT's and also probably 2 CB's. I think there are DT's we could draft in the 5th or 6th round who will be better than the kid we drafted from Duke last year in the 3rd round.
  2. Yep but Farmer is more of a 3T than a 1T - he's a player definitely on our radar if we get a Grant/Tyleik/Collins 1T type early in the draft. Farmer is big enough to play 1T occasionally (maybe passing downs) but at 305, he's not big enough to focus there. A combo of Grant and Farmer, to go along with Oliver could be a game changer
  3. Yep plenty available this year in later rounds: Tyleik Williams 2nd Collins or Walker 3rd West or Phillips 4th Caldwell 5th Cam Jackson 6th I probably missed a few
  4. Yep I think Nolen >> Grant
  5. if that's what the value chart says, i have no problem paying that price
  6. I think the move down from #30 to the low 30s to early 40s will be available as one of the qb desperate teams will be looking to move up. Can we gte a 3rd by doing so? I think so but we may need to throw a pick back (4th, 5th or 6th?) which is fine as we have 10 picks. Moving up from 56 to, say 42 would cost us 56, 109, 132 and 169 according to the draft calculator = too rich for my blood. If they did draft 2 DT's in the first 3 rounds - say harmon at #30 if he drops then Alfred Collins at #62 that would work well. I think I like Collins almost as much as Grant and you'd get him a round later.
  7. I know there's a few mock draft threads going on, and mods, feel free to merge. I wanted to emphasize why i think it should be a huge consideration in MOVING DOWN from #30 and picking up another day 2 pick. If we have multiple guys we like at #30, I'd consider moving down into the early 2nd with a QB needy team and pick up a 3rd. Something like this would work well: #30 and #109 to Denver for #34 and #65 - we move #30 for an early 2nd and an early 3rd while giving up an early 4th. The draft is stacked through around the top 70 and, if Beane drafts well, we legitimately could have 4 starters or contributors with picks 34, 56, 62 and 65. Unless they LOVE someone earlier in the first, There's no need to trade up, especially if we lose a 2nd/3rd to do so. Possible players in this scenario: #34 CB Amos - Ole Miss - great zone CB and Bills have met numerous times with him #56 DE Landon Jackson - Arkansas - Bills have met numerous times with him #62 DT Alfred Collins - Texas - not a great pass rusher (but room for improvement) but a 332 pound 1T whom I think is the best run stuffer in the draft. I passed on TJ Sanders and Darius Alexander cuz I wanted the pure 1T guy, not a 3T guy #65 WR Jayden Higgins - Iowa State -I took him over Kevin Williams as I think he's a more complete WR. 6'4" 214 who runs a 4.49 40 with great stats last year: 87 catches 1,183 yards with 8 TD's. Think Gabe Davis on Steroids (more speed, better route tree). This is why you trade down in RD1, to get a 4th pick in the top 65 and grab another starter. Amos is a day 1 starter as is Jackson and Collins (in McDermott's rotational DLine scheme) + I think Higgins is the 2nd best WR on our roster on Day 1 of training camp. Later picks: 132 Jordan Phillips - Maryland - I double down on DT with another mauling DT that the Bills seem enamored with 169 Jaydon Blue - Texas - Fastest RB in draft with 4.37 speed. Not much wear on the body (split carries at Texas), is an outstanding receiver out of the backfield and unlike Cooke, is a willing and good blocking RB Now, who knows if all these players are available where I drafted them. In this simulation they were: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/mockdraft 170 CB/S Caleb Ransaw - Tulane - I doubled down on CB with an athletic freak that can play every position in the secondary. He's a great tackler (which is a must for McDermott) with great speed and decent size. The reason he's available so late is he needs to improve his ball skills 173 WR Isaiah Bond - Texas - I doubled down on WR here. I don't think Buffalo makes this pick, but, the chance to get a 2nd round WR talent in the 6th round is too good to pass. Hopefully his off season issues are resolved. 177 LB Shaun Dolac - Buffalo - a nice local boy story, but this kid can play 206 P Alex Mastromanno - Florida state - Our current two punters are blah, this guy comes to camp as our #1 punter -
  8. 2 Trade downs here, picking up an early 4th and SF's 2026 2nd. Here I waited on CB's, but still got two mid round sleepers I like. Got 3 Stud DT's, a stud TE, 2 speedsters at WR (one with size) and the fastest RB in the draft. 43. Walter NolenDT Ole Miss 56. Kenneth GrantDT Michigan 73. Kyle WilliamsWR Washington State 109. Elijah ArroyoTE Miami (FL) 110. Joshua FarmerDT Florida State 113. Cobee BryantCB Kansas 132. Dont'e ThorntonWR Tennessee 169. Kitan CrawfordS Nevada 170. Zah FrazierCB UTSA 173. Jaydon BlueRB Texas 177. Shaun DolacLB Buffalo
  9. As a team, we lack speed. In this draft I got the fastest CB, RB and TE in the draft while getting a 6'4" receiver who ran a 4.47 and jumped 40" (insane athlete). Doubt Maxwell lasts to 56 but he did in this draft. My big dilemma - Grant or Tyleik Williams at #30. I like a trade down from #30 to around #40 if we can get a 3rd rounder back 30. Kenneth GrantDT Michigan 56. Maxwell HairstonCB Kentucky 62. Jayden HigginsWR Iowa State 109. Oronde Gadsden IITE Syracuse 132. Jaydon BlueRB Texas 169. Seth McLaughlinOC Ohio State 170. J.J. 10. A lot of great options here. Even if they don't meet the criteria, I would include Grant, Collins and Phillips to this list
  11. My Favorite one - focusing on guys the Bills have had interest in: 36. Kenneth Grant - Trade down and picking up a later pick DT Michigan 53. Trey Amos - Slight Trade up to grab the last "must have" cb left on the board CB Ole Miss 62. Jalen Royals - a lot of love for him lately WR Utah State 109. Kyle Kennard EDGE South Carolina 126. Oronde Gadsden II - not a particular need but speed kills TE Syracuse 169. Nohl Williams - doubling up on CB's - this guy is really good value here CB California 170. Jake Majors - interior line depth OC Texas 173. Jaydon Blue - doubt he'll still be available at #173, but he was in this mock and speed kills once again RB Texas 177. Ty Hamilton - solid value here, 2nd DT - multiple interviews and visit with Buffalo DT Ohio State 206. Alex Mastromanno - comes to camp as best punter on the team P Florida State No offense, but downright hate this mock: 1. Like Revel, but out 1st pick better be an impact this year and Revel might not be 100% until next year 2. Watts - great pick but we had to give up both 2nd's to move up 9 picks to get him?? 3. Higgins - not my favorite - rather get Royals or Williams 4. Turner - would not be happy if he's our only add to DT 5. 2 linebackers and no EDGE, only one DT, No RB's and no OL? 6. Q? see #5
  12. No This is idiotic, no offense. You said he "could provide immediate offensive upside to a team." And immediate downside to The Bills if we trade him. We have him for next year and could always franchise him the following year. He's staying
  13. 25+ yards per catch. Josh would like him and he would open up everything underneath. I'd have no problem picking him with our 2nd 2nd or trading that pick back into th3 3rd
  14. wow - didn't see anything about this with Bond. Thornton Jr is a better lottery tickets anyway - 6'5" 215 with a 4.3 time. Not sure why Tennessee didn't utilize him more; Maybe bad QB's or running philosophy?? Cuz the film I've seen on him, he plays fast. Wish we had a 3rd, cuz I think the 2nd round is too early for him and he may be gone by our 4th rounder.
  15. NFL year has started - they have to be under the cap at all times (I'm not sure if it accounts an allowance for draft picks). Either way, with all of their signings, they are currently under the cap.
  16. We have 3 picks in the first 62, which is great for a team of our standing. We need 2 or 3 starters from this or at least rotational starters
  17. Josh Text: "Calais, I know you like the heat, but come to Buffalo for and year, win a Superbowl and be immortalized in Buffalo. Then you can retire in Florida or Arizona and enjoy heat for the next 40 years."
  18. We don't know that. why can't he still sign a gilmore or Samual type (or both) and let them compete with a high draft pick? If no CB is signed, then yes, he hasn't learned from elam.
  19. 2nd official day of UFA - move back from the ledge, BB will sign someone at CB
  20. 1st RD CB's aren't a sure thing.....Elam....so expect a UFA signing too
  21. It does make sense but pure speculation on your part at this point. Bosa was never tied to Buffalo, he was joining his brother in SF until he wasn't....
  22. Beane moving up to get JA17 in the draft = Beane employed indefinitely
  23. I think you're right. Here are guys they may be targeting with 40 time and projected round, a lot of speed but a lot of these guys have little production in college. Bolded is whom I'd target Matthew Golden (WR) - 4.29 seconds 1ST Dont'e Thornton Jr. (WR) - 4.30 seconds 6TH Chimer ***** (WR) 4.34 NR Jaylin Lane (WR) 4.34 7TH Arian Smith (WR) 4.36 7TH Tai Felton (WR) 4.37 4TH Keandre Lambert-Smith (WR) 4.37 7TH Jordan Watkins (WR) 4.37 NR Isaiah Bond (WR) 4.39 2ND
  24. Gilmour, Samuel Jr, Slay Jr?
  25. No way he signs for $5m. My guess is closer to $15m than $5m
