  1. When you have a Peyton Manning you want to out-think your opponent, when you have superior athletic talent you want to let your players play fast and trust their instincts. By all accounts the Schwartz D is simple compared to Rex's, and our talent shined through because they were allowed to just go out and play.
  2. He's been on the fringe HC radar recently, for what it's worth. MMQB Article SBNation HC Speculation He was interviewed last offseason by the Dolphins and 49ers for their vacancies. I believe he was also interviewed by the Jets to take over for Rex at that time too.
  3. He was on Dallas' practice squad for a while too. Thought he might get a chance before they grabbed McFadden, but the injury hit him pretty hard.
  4. I was going to add Kuechly and Patrick Peterson to the list, but I couldn't bring myself to break theme
  5. Kam Chancellor Kyle Fuller Brandon Flowers Eddie Royal Deangelo Hall Antone Exum Kendall Fuller Dadi Nicolas
  6. Good OC, bad HC. He doesn't have the personality traits to be the head guy. jmo. That being said, he is the playcaller for one of only 3 teams that have been top 10 in yards and points for 2014 and 2015. Pittsburgh w/ Haley New Orleans w/ Payton Seattle w/ Bevell Of the 3 I'll still take Bevell despite the slow start in '16
  7. Part of it is likely the effectiveness of the running game, though I believe this year the philosophy will have to be flipped and we will need to Pass to open up the Run. Just my opinion based on how defenses have set up against us. The other part, and I believe this is our entire coaching staff's biggest failure, is that you need to tailor your schemes to your personnel's strengths. Tyrod is exceptional when he is on the move, able to extend plays, and he keeps his eyes downfield for the big plays that really hurt the defense. If it is clear that the defense wants to keep him in the pocket, why are we scheming to help them? Let's get some moving pockets, some designed rollouts, and some run/pass options to force defenses to adjust to our talent's strengths instead of playing directly into their hand.
  8. You must have missed the preseason game last year against Pittsburgh. Tyrod and EJ both lit up the scoreboard like it was Madden.
  9. Kobe or Dez?
  10. agreed
  11. Was going to ask the same. Weren't the Bills atop the league last year in 20+ yard TDs?
  12. I wonder what the plan is once Ragland is back and healthy. Rotation to keep them fresh like the DL? Shift Zack (k or h? idk...) to a coverage OLB role?
  13. Say what you will, but I like Cardale better than any QB coming out this year.
  14. For those keeping score, is that on the Defense, Tyrod, or the refs? I'm not saying it was all their fault, but the numbers are what they are.
  15. 8:30 of those 40 minutes were on the opening drive, before the offense even saw the field. Doesn't excuse the rest of the game, but that's over 21% of the Jets possession time.
  16. Wasn't Tyrod 8-6 (now 8-8)? Or are we not counting game 1 because of the first snap and only the first snap?
  17. So you'd give up 1 play for 1 sustained drive this year?
  18. isn't the going rate for quality backups 5-7 mil per now? Or are you suggesting we make that up in incentives that likely will never be achieved because his presence on the field is dependent on someone else's performance/health?
  19. I appreciate the contributions!
  20. I'd have been fine with either, but I can see why he went to the sideline
  21. It was with 1:24 before the half. When both receivers are open for relatively the same gain you go with the sideline in that situation.
  22. Umm, nobody specific. Maybe Dalton? or Brady I guess Russell Wilson is usually the comparison. Any of those guys
  23. have any others for comparisons sake?
