  1. You do know that Carr is coming off a game where he went 19/31 for 118 Yards (3.81 YPA), 1 TD and 2 INTs, right? He's had a stinker in 1/3 games as well and it was worse than Tyrod's...
  2. Julio Jones had 300 receiving yards against the Panthers in one of their games last year. I hope McD learned from that experience.
  3. Different offenses for both this year, but TT outplayed Siemian last year too, outside of YPG
  4. Other than those who lost that bet and aren't supposed to post negative things this week, I think it's a legitimate question. If your (not you, specifically) entire body of posting consists of nitpicking the QB and nothing else maybe there are some things to re-evaluate. That said, I think I've seen Crusher and Old School both say it was a fine game and not much else. Which is great imo. Anyway, GO BILLS!
  5. If we got the 2 seed I guarantee someone would complain because Tyrod will have 0 passing yards in the first round of the playoffs.
  6. and you never will be.
  7. You say it's nonsense and then wind up agreeing with me? Okay. My entire point, which you clearly missed, was that there are about 8 QB prospects who could have 1st round grades by the time the draft rolls around. Thus some will be there outside the top 5 picks. When I say value I am talking about the draft and it's prospects, not what they become once they're drafted. Yes it is true that we won't know if they panned out for a few years, but the people drafting don't get that kind of hindsight.
  8. Or gotten concussed after 3 games. Hopefully he recovers quickly though.
  9. First, if you look at the success rate of QB's drafted the line is very clearly drawn at the top 3 picks. Second, Dallas wouldn't have been the same team if they took Dak and didn't have Zeke and Oakland surely wouldn't be the same team if they took Carr and didn't have Mack. What I'm trying to say is that the OP's whiney statement if full of discrepancies and erroneous thoughts. Especially when it comes to the idea of tanking being a tactic that has proven to be successful.
  10. Where are you going with that? Also, the point was top 3, not top 5.
  11. Isn't that what you want though? Or do you want us to tank by not losing? Personally, I don't ever want the Bills to lose. I also happen to believe we have enough draft ammo to get the QB our staff identifies as the best, regardless of how many games we win this year. You also cited Drew Brees in your original post. Did you know he was a 2nd round pick? Did you also know that the pick used to acquire him was gained via the Chargers trading down?
  12. Looking at the 2018 QB class it can easily be argued that there will be value throughout the 1st round, not just in the 1st 5 picks. As far as not putting in the work for us to become successful, we have 6 picks in the 1st 3 rounds of next years draft, which is all the ammo we should need to secure the QB of our preference in a QB rich draft class. Lots of people have claimed they want us to bottom out and tank, and now that we've lost 1 game (by 6 points, we covered the spread) they're upset that we're losing.
  13. Since 2011 with the changes to the rookie wage scale 9 QBs have been selected. 4 of those 9 were acquired via trade-ups. Cam Newton: 0.563 Win % - 3/6 Playoff Appearances Andrew Luck: 0.614 Win % - 3/5 Playoff Appearances Robert Griffin III: 0.375 Win % - 1/5 Playoff Appearances Blake Bortles: 0.255 Win % - 0/3 Playoff Appearances Jameis Winston: 0.485 Win % - 0/2 Playoff Appearances Marcus Mariota: 0.414 Win % - 0/2 Playoff Appearances Jared Goff: 0.200 Win % - 0/1 Playoff Appearances Carson Wentz: 0.444 Win % - 0/1 Playoff Appearances Mitch Trubisky: 0 Games Played Teams picking in the top 3 aren't a QB away. There's a lot more to it than that.
  14. No. That isn't proven at all.
  15. Surely it won't be any later than the 2nd round though. Right?
  16. Tyrod has had a 100 yard receiver in 10 of his 31 games. The Rams have had 4 games with a 100 yard receiver in that same span, including last night.
  17. There are 7 teams with fewer yards per game than us in the NFL. There are 5 teams with fewer points per game than us in the NFL. Get a grip.
  18. And Sammy likely would have if he'd have taken 2 years $11M like oft-injured Edelman.
  19. It was my point. Edelman isn't paid like Julio or Dez. Why use him as an example? My point is that Sammy would still be here if he was willing to take Edelman money.
  20. The 5th year option was more money than both years of Edelman's contract.
  21. If Sammy was willing to take Edelman money he'd still be here.
  22. You definitely prioritize QB, but it doesn't hurt to put pieces in place while finding the right one. The situation Dak stepped into last year with a great OL, solid pass catchers, and a great run game is a fine situation for a QB to step into.
  23. Not with Sammy and Tavon in concussion protocol.
  24. I want to be clear about this up front: I do not think Goodwin is a good WR. But teams had to respect the fact that he could blow by their entire D for a TD. And that was on display against the Jets when he roasted Revis. That threat gets defenses to back off a bit from the LOS. We don't have anyone who requires that type of respect on our roster. Maybe Zay can become that, but he'll need to actually burn a D a few times before people recognize and react to it.
  25. Ha ha, yeah. That's become the norm these days. Watch his 99 yard 1 INT week 2 performance and let me know if you still feel the same way.
