  1. Very interesting take. Thanks for costing me sleep tonight. OP. Not really but it sounded cool.
  2. Agree. It would take swallowing pride and slowing down the "building my my team" rush that caused the disaster that was Sunday in the first place. I think the credibilty in the locker room goes up with admitting a bad judgement thing vs, "no regrets". If there is any NFL player that has shown the class and leadership to shake off a BS benching to come back and help the team it's TT in all 3 seasons he's been here. Pure class. Everyone on this board that's convinced TT should go should read this - to the end - from before the game Sunday: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2744427-by-benching-tyrod-taylor-bills-are-committing-the-cardinal-sin-of-coaching If I was this writer I would do a part 2 "told u so" piece and add that TT actually won the second half.
  3. Revisionist history to fit your narrative that most TT haters use. All u need to know is 5 picks vs none and TT won the second half, 17-14, with the same BS OL line and no Benjamin - and same D. He needs to have WRs open before he throws so HE DOESN'T THROW 5 PICKS !!! The fumble was clearly because Dennison refuses to play to TTs strength which is throwing while rolling the pocket in and obvious throwing down. He picks up the 3rd down there with his legs if no ones open as often as with a throw. As soon as folks can see that's good and not bad - with this O-Line, the better. The rest of the NFL gets it.
  4. Tyrod's class throughout the offseason and this debacle has not waivered. Say what you will about his play the last few weeks, but he's a great teammate, leader and would be a great face of the franchise. He has 10 million reasons to not feel unappreciated I guess but wow.
  5. So did this dude - written before the game today: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2744427-by-benching-tyrod-taylor-bills-are-committing-the-cardinal-sin-of-coaching "It took a pair of blowout losses, the crumbling of the Bills defense and the buckling of their offensive line to finally give McDermott and Beane the excuse to do what they have wanted to do from the start: commit the two Cardinal Sins of Coaching in one fell swoop by inserting "their guy" the "pocket passer" at quarterback over the scrambler from the last regime. Not familiar with the Cardinal Sins of Coaching? Oh, you know them when you see them: Cardinal Sin One: Coveting the Pocket Passer over the Scrambler. Cardinal Sin Two: Filling the Roster with Your Guys Instead of the Best Guys. Cardinal Sin One is the great sin of our age, the one that brought the plague of Tom Savage and Mike Glennon types upon the league, among other issues far beyond the scope of this column."
  6. Wow. 2 pages and no one has blamed Dennison yet. The common denominator between Peterman and TT is him. At least for the O, this is all on him. Bills scored 24 today with TT and Shady being stars in spite of his shvtty play calling.
  7. Tyrod is a Rex guy. McD could not wait to purge yet another Rex guy. Jets game was not great but Taylor balled out in that mostly defensive debacle. NO game gave McD his first real chance to move on from TT - it was like a fantasy come true. Well, he just ejaculated all over himself on national TV. Indefensible decision if he is going to stick to the "we are also trying to win now" narrative. Pathetic. Man up and just say we are rebuilding - much more respect for that.
  8. Ha. Bills fan first but please ... take a lap or 5 - one for each pick.
  9. Not so much thinking it's so much TT's fault. That's all. Has not been a stable ... err, stable of WR his entire career in Buffalo and the playcalling/style of play he's been asked to do this season looks set up on purpose to highlight his solid but average pocket game. He throws accurately and comfortably from a moving pocket or on the run - which always puts the D on their heels to defend him running or throwing - the OLine has been awful in protecting him in a conventional pocket - to the point of batting down predictable swing passes to Shady - key word - predictable. If I were OC, I'd be rolling him on almost every pass play or adding more read option - things that capitalize on his strengths - those plays seem to all have left the playbook. Trading Sammy was a heartbreaker the day after they featured TT to Sammy - 6 for 6 - bullets in the first preseason game. Bills fan first, TT second but dude looks set up to fail this season. Will also note that Marcel Dareus was not missed in the Oakland game but the gashing runs that the Jets and even more so, NO enjoyed were not so much attacking the edges but right where MD would have been. Perhaps MD wasn't McD's DNA. I could get that. Hard to imagine someone as hard working and unselfish as TT not being the "DNA" McD likes. Just want to be careful of trading and benching real NFL stars. The players know who's good ... Peterman better be as good as advertized and the D had better have fixed itself or this team will not win another game. Not cheering for that outcome at all - just confused and sad that - at least in mainstream reporting - the two rough games are being put on TT. That's incongruent and I rebel against incongruent.
  10. Would you uproar if on Sunday Night you are heralded as the starter, again Monday night and Tuesday ? then Wednesday - ahhh - not so much ? Effed up leadership - sending messages of fear for your starting job - intended or not - only reason there's no uproar. Not even sure what this means. Top 10 is top 10 - due to threat of running or throwing. And D, and ST. It's 3 phases, right ? The phase that TT was the leader of was good. Rex Wrexed the D. Don't rewrite history - the Bills O was good in 15 and 16. No phase of the NO game was good - TT was the only saving grace for the O in the NYJ loss. D and ST were ass. So we'll keep everyone else from the NO and NYJ loss and start the 5th round rookie at QB - that'll fix everything. All else was pretty OK - just that QB that can't [fill in the blank]. Take a lap.
  11. How much are you payed as an NFL scout - sound like a diamond in the rough - 9 games with a whole new team and you can make the call. Bills were a Top 10 offense in 2015 - with a brand new team all the way around - just sayin.
  12. Not sure if you are referring to Marcel Dareus "trade" ? or that you are probably correct that TT won;t be here next season. The Bills got at least something for MD. And they traded him when the bills were 4-2. Cool. At least the Bills got something for him. TT is benched at the moment, not - and can't be, traded. Because that pesky trade deadline has passed - and they will not get dvck for him - not even a 7th rounder - because they benched/didn't pick up his option now. Agree or disagree with the change to Peterman, timing is insanity.
  13. OP, Just resolve in your own mind how the New Orleans game and the Jest game are different from these two - all the data you need - hint - different OC, same QB: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahJAelqtBm8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xeNf-axc_4s Then take a lap.
  14. Can you, right now, without looking it up, name their (Woods, Watkins, Goodwin) backups - 2015, 2016 only please. Take a lap.
  15. Watkins, Woods and Goodwin were hurt more than half the time. TT and the Bills were not 0-16 the lat 2 seasons. When at least one or two of them were healthy, Tyrod balled out and the Bills won - crazy thought. When they didn't it was when the D was allowing Ajai to run for 200 +.
  16. Perhaps and tend to agree. All said, this D is not good enough the past 3 weeks to overcome pick6's. Say what u want about TT being awful, the only pick he threw was a fluke deflection thing. Peterman will likely throw into coverage as coached to, "throw a receiver open" "in tight windows" or maybe right to a DB who jumps an obvious route. Our WR are very green. And so is NP. That's how easy P6's happen. Why can that sacrificial pick 6 shvt not begin after the bye week or in 2018 ? Timing sux. Bille are 5-4 and currently largely because there's been NO P6's. Except by us. Big TT fan and think one rides him out through the season - looks set up to fail and finally had the perfect game to do it. Wouldn't be surprised if the FO and coaches were as shocked as the rest of the football world that the Bills were 5-2 under TT with his boy Sammy gone, shvtty other WR and an offense structured on purpose for him to fail so they could not pay him. Bills fan first, TT close second, so hope Peterman turns this WR corps and OL into All Pros in LA - proving that TT sux. Ha.
  17. Agree in the most part, Hence, scapegoat. Was not an aggressive inquiry, per se, but didn't answer the intended question. Nothing as drastic as a benching occurred at any D starter position - as far as I know. This is insanity,
  18. Start the 5th round rookie over the 5-4 UNINJURED starter. That will fix everything. Wow. Very risky leadership shvt here. All accounts the locker room loves TT ... And completely obvious to the media, fans, and therefore, players that this coaching staff did not have the team ready to play the Jets or the Saints - NO ONE CAN DISPUTE THIS, based on the team looking great at 5-2, and the yuuuge shift. NO ran the ball 23 times in a row during one stretch - for 2 TD's and FG. That's disgusting and has nothing to do with TT. One could see this team setting TT up for failure from the day they traded Sammy away. Obvious, dumb, and sad.
  19. TT will be back in the second half of the LAC game. Either Peterman will be hurt by then cuz the OL sux or he will have thrown 2 pick 6's "anticipating" WR being open whatever one thinks that even means aside from throwing into coverage. As a Bills fan I hope I'm wrong, but making TT the scapegoat for the NYJ and NO losses is dishonest by this coaching staff at the very best. They did not have the Bills ready to play in either game - OBVIOUSLY - Ok maybe on the road - but the NO debacle was home. It's on them. Team was 5-2 and looking good on both sides of the ball. TT did not allow 47 and 34 points... This is insanity.
  20. Even against LAC, Peterman will be replaced by TT at half. Most likely injury because the OL sux - or the 2 pick 6's he throws "anticipating'' open receivers - whatever one thinks that means -and is a good thing. This whole thing is silly.
  21. Easy scapegoat for a coaching staff that OBVIOUSLY got out-coached the last 2 games. In all phases. The second any NFL team runs on you 23 times in a row for 2 TD's and a FG, 45 times overall and wins 47-10 - and you blame the QB is sad. TT had a bad game no doubt and should be taken to task as much as he was lauded in the Oakland win. But Benching ? There's risky leadership shvt here benching a leader/QB - 5-4 uninjured QB in the middle of a playoff race. Really don't like it. The QB change makes the news - so OK - but - as drastic as this change is, does anyone even have an idea of OL, DL, LB changes as drastic that are also occurring ? TT may have had a bad game but I promise he didn't allow 47 pts.. All said, class reigns on this team TT, Shady and Peterman in public ooze class today. Class may not win Super Bowls but makes us all proud to be Bills fans. Go Nathan. Beat the Bolt-heads !
  22. That this professional has already faced a D we haven't is good. Marginally but good. i am personally giddy that we shot some (not a full wad by any means) of our stockpiled picks to win this year. It's even more potential giddy what this attitude, coach, QB can do with the remaining picks. We still have 5 in the first 3 rounds - 2 1's and 2 2's. And WR is MUCH less a need - all of a sudden. So we can OL, CB, LB, Franchise trainee QB first before WR all of a sudden. Brilliant.
