  1. "Joe Biden, in his armor plated short bus, licks the windows to keep them clean."
  2. Where's Nozzle the Nut been lately? I'm sure he's outraged. That dude hates corruption!
  3. As for question #1- I recommend Arrogant Bastard Ale by Stone Brewing up in Escondido. Good Stuff! Regarding a good burger- save yourself the wait and a few dollars and just go to In and Out Burger. They have great food at a reasonable price and the time you save waiting for a burger you can spend touring the area. That's my $.02. Either way, enjoy your visit!
  4. +1 He is my all time favorite football player because of the way he prepares himself and the class he displays. It truly is amazing how he has worked with and crafted his young receiver corps to be on the same page as him. I watched his post game interview last night where he opined about needed a weeks rest between this game and the SB because he was mentally spent. It is amazing to me how he can read defenses and put his offense in the right position to make plays. The Jets defense is pretty good...
  5. I've always felt that there's nothing wrong with talking to yourself. It's when you start talking back that you have a problem...
  6. So you define success as being on the air? Because the last time I checked, she is getting her azz kicked by reruns of the Beverly Hillbilly's. Way to set the bar low.
  7. Quick answer- We only need to accept other cultures when it's politically correct/expedient. Look, I love my (2) dogs as much as the next guy, but if I were Korean, I'd most likely love them on my dinner plate. When I was stationed in Japan I ate basashi which is raw horse meat or horse sashimi. It's pretty damn good actually and I ate it on numerous occasions. I'd probably get thrown in jail here if I were to butcher a horse for dinner. As far as Mike Vick's transgressions, I'm over it. He did the time, let the man move on with his life. I personally don't subscribe to the 'thug' life and culture he seems to follow, but if he can win football games and stay out of further legal trouble, then the Bill's should sign him.
  8. It's hard to argue with his points here, but I'm sure that won't stop the Connors and the like... http://www.usnews.com/articles/opinion/mzu...a.html?PageNr=1
  9. So do you *suckers* still want to bash those who have had enough of this and are moving on? Take a look in the mirror. Einstein once opined that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Get some medication folks. * I apologize for the name calling, but have had enough of this madness.
  10. +1 I held out hope that after they fired the Dick that there would be real change. My first Bills game was back at the rockpile, so I've been around awhile. But this is it. As DC Tom posted above, I'm taking my Sunday's back. I wish you (suckers) the best with the laughingstock of the league. This gives me no joy, mind you. I have had too much invested emotionally over the years to let this team go without a fight, but it's time to move on. The sad part is that I will most likely still lurk here on the board, watching the train wreck this group has become with mild interest. But ultimately, F*** the Bills! This from a lifelong fan. Best of luck guys...
  11. Lombardi is 100% correct. Except that the bills have been the Raiders "East" for some time. I have been a lifelong Bills fan, my Dad having taken me to games at the Rockpile when I was a young kid. But for all the times in the past when I wanted to jump ship and my gut wouldn't let me, this time is different. Although I no longer live in the area, my family continues to be season ticket holders. If they re-up again this year, I'm going to buy them sessions with a mental health provider for Christmas. The bottom line is that for all the good Ralph has done by keeping the team in the city, he now needs to pass in order for this team to even have a shot. I don't wish for the man to die, but the reality is that this team will continue to be a joke until he's gone and the issue of ownership and location is resolved. Until that time, I'm off the ship. Although I'll continue to watch the train wreck, much like a person passing a crash scene, I'm no longer on the bandwagon. For those of you who continue to 'Billeve', good luck and please, stay away from the booze, drugs and prescription medication, because it will own you. It's a sad day for me...
  12. This Blumenthal? Ha! What a joke! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=goNw7cu1G3g...player_embedded
  13. Sorry, no Dwight here. I'm Chris. That aside, since you don't believe that the pols will do the right thing, why the other thread about Peggy Noonan's "mindless optimism" and trying to adopt that outlook? I don't get it.
  14. OK, maybe the thread title is mislabeled. And this isn't directed at you personally. I read the article you linked and get Peggy's point. I agree that our troubles are fixable , but where I might differ from you is that I doubt the politicians have the intestinal fortitude to do what is right and in the nations long term best interests. If we charter the right course, it will be a long journey, and will come with much pain. While I am an optimist, I am a pragmatic optimist. I have a difficult time with being an irrational optimist. I also believe in prayer, and I'm certain that we differ there based on your past postings, but to each his own. Bush was a disaster, but Obama is the perfect storm. No disrespect intended, but when I went to post this thread I had recently read the link you posted.
  15. Have you factored in the coming default of Kalifornia and the expected federal bailout? That will happen sooner than later and will also have a major negative effect on our economy (and constitution)? At some point our creditors won't be buying our debt, which means that all hell will break lose. Rates will soar, business lending will get crushed, along with many other loans. Of course this has some serious implications on the value of the dollar. Jesus, I hate to think what will happen to the dollar. This may happen sooner than later. China and petro producing nations are working as fast as they can to find a viable alternative to the dollar, which you already know.
  16. But take a look at this and tell me what you think... http://www.americanthinker.com/2010/01/201...l_be_worse.html
  17. Rahm is as dirty as they come, but I bet Holder does nothing on this: http://politics.theatlantic.com/2009/12/od...resignation.php
  18. The Congress is being run by San Francisco liberals. If the Blue dogs are too stupid to realize that and walk off the cliff while she steps away at the last minute, then stand by, because we're going to terminate them just like they asked for. What has this country come to? We've dug ourselves into a hole and these fools keep pulling out a bigger shovel and dig faster...
  19. Wut, Wut? Boo-Yah my nizzles! Ida liken 2 give a shout out to my homies in da hood. Da Fort Hood dat ezz. Sum won shot dem up wit a gat. This guy is an embarassment. At a time like this he couldn't go off teleprompter to acknowledge the events at Fort Hood? This fool couldn't lead his way out of a wet paper bag. America, you are getting exactly what you asked for.
  20. Awakening a sleeping giant. I've not been politically active in my entire adult life. I am now. What is happening to our country sickens me to the core. Pelosi is asking her minions to commit suicide for her and Obama. If they're willing to do it, then I'm going to provide the means to terminate their time in Congress. Are the Democrats really that foolish? We will soon know. But mark my words, the backlash will be severe.
  21. All sides of the argument feel this is a losing strategy for the WH. Seriously, WTF are they thinking? Do you REALLY think this is an effective strategy for them? If so, I want some of what you're smoking.
  22. I was referring to the statement that he received a loan from Countrywide and denies that he got favorable treatment. That is curious to me. Granted many millions have loans from them, but what's to say that he didn't get a sweetheart deal also? And how long until the DOJ completes their investigation? Five years, ten? What a joke. This has been out there for over a year. Yellow lines- WRT your comment on Issa- Care to provide any hard data on why he's a tool and 'bag man' for big pharma? Or did you read that on HufPo and feel obliged to use the smear to discredit him? Issa is actually my congresscritter, and I kind of like him.
  23. Read the last paragraph... http://thehill.com/homenews/house/63941-de...-committee-room
  24. The far left wackos that Obama has appointed is what concerns me the most. These aren't mainstream people, people! I don't like Glen Beck, but lately I've watched his program and developed a respect for him. He is pissing the administration off, and for that I give him credit.
