Beane has made numerous draft blunders, one of the biggest has to be taking Ford over either WR's Brown or Metcalf. Ford is a bust and will be out of the league soon and those two WR's are both studs. I will give Beane full credit for getting the most important position on the field correct in drafting Allen. When you get that right everything else gets overlooked. Without Allen both McDermott and Beane are no longer here

This deal makes perfect sense if they cut Tyler Matakevich who makes around the same money. The Bills are very thin at CB behind White who is returning from ACL injury. You cannot have two special teams players making a combined 6 million, CUT Tyler Matakevich or this was a overpay. The fact is Beane needs to save his cap dollars to spend on upgrading the defence which has almost no play makers on it right now

I would be fine with adding two more years , once a player get to 32-33 it becomes a year to year thing. We cannot be on the hook for major money after he turns 32. A major reason why they Bills have no cap space is because Beane has overpaid on fringe players or B & C level players. Diggs is one of the few A players on this team, so work something out where he maybe reduces his cap number and receives bonus money spread over the next 5-6 years.

I think the only way McDermott learns from this is fans and pundits keep reminding him on how he screwed up with his conservative thinking/coaching. This screw up should be his last Mulligan. Let the players play and live with the results, had we played aggressive and lost not would have been easier to accept. I think our offence will be great again, I think when you look at the schedule next season they will be facing a lot of good QB'S . Unless Beane fixes that defence and adds some A level players it will not be easy. Show me one A level player on that defence that scares anyone beyond White who is coming off a major knee injury. Cincy has about 55 million in cap space so they will only get stronger and their GM has already done a good job with that defence in free agency. Beane needs to follow some but not all of the Rams footprint to a title. I think a speed RB along with another speed WR who has good YAC ability and our offence will get to another level. Just glad the Bengals lost or we would be reading and listening to pundits talking about Burrow as the next Tom Brady. The Bengals defence made enough plays and stops to win and Burrows could not take advantage of an interception idea inside Rams territory and many possessions after Rams were stopped. The loss goes on Burrows and Cincy offence because I thought Cincy's defence was balling most of the night. In my opinion had Allen been playing he would have made plays with his legs and arm and Bills beat this Rams team no problem.
