Time to Rebuild? Too Many Beane Holes.
Niagara Dude replied to OutOfBubbleGum's topic in The Stadium Wall
The cap situation for 2026 is a huge problem, most likely the reason why Beane did not want to trade 2026 first for Waddle Knox- 17m Milano-11m Dawkins-25m Samuel-9.7m Johnson-11.5m You have a mediocre TE Knox making 17 mil and expect to have cap space to pay a #1 receiver, not sure how they can expect to improve without tanking for a least one season -

I thought the biggest let down and turning point in the game was after the Davis TD kickoff return. I would have liked to see Babich being more aggressive with heavy blitzes to get a sack and maybe get the ball back to Allen for more points before the half. They instead played prevent and Texans who are not a great offence go down the field and score a TD with 5 secs left Credit to our defence because they played well enough to win in the second half, but that TD hurt and we were chasing the rest of the game -

Going to need to start drafting guys with speed, this team is undersized and not enough speed at critical positions. Speed and size matter, i could care less about if they guy has great character -
I think it's been pretty obvious that Brady and Babich are doing what Mcdermott wants, this usually means playing and coaching not to lose. I think McDermott rewards both of these guys with them having their own weekly pressers so they can promote themselves I just hope Pegula tells McDermott he needs to hire a big name defensive cordinator and new offensive cordinator from outside. That has always been the problem, we keep hiring coordinators that are already here and that's too easy to control

Allen missed a wide open Knox on the final play
Niagara Dude replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed you take away Allen and this is bottom 3 team in the NFL. I thought they should have tried to run Cook or even Davis on the previous 3 & 1 to secure the first down and then just take shots to the end zone The reality is Knox is a perfect example of Beane overpaying for a fringe talent player, he is not someone who you can count on to make a big play in crunch time because he does to offer any elite talent skills -

Just not enough play makers on offence, the lack of speed is a big reason why Allen has to hold on the ball so long and tonight he got beat up for it No question, only way we can beat anyone is to get up 2-3 scores and then force the other team in one dimensional football. We're not winning close games or if were not scoring at least 30 plus points -

I agree that drive the Texans had before the half after the long kick-off return cannot happen, but it just seems like Babich went to prevent D and we all know how that ends. Overall our pass rush was trash and Bills just don't have the talent in their secondary to hold up with no rush -

I thought Brady should have run Cook at that 3rd & 1 . Get the first and then take 4 shots to the end zone -

Dawkins looked very slow and almost every guy was taking turns getting beat -

Niagara Dude replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think if Pegula wants to bring back McDermott next season at the very least he needs to tell McDermott he needs to bring in big name defensive cordinator and let that person run a whole new defence. It's been 9 years and this defence looks the same year after year. -
Not a McDermott supporter but this roster has way too many average talent guys making good money. This includes Knox/Milano/ Johnson who missed on a 4 & 1 tackle. We just don't have enough play makers on either side of ball
-
I thought the 4 and 1 play running Cook was a killer, we needed to get something on the drive and it came back to bite us

End of the day too many small and average speed defenders really no explosive players outside of Cook on offence. Speed matters and Texans have speed at all position on defence -
End of the day not having Kincaid really hurt because Knox is just not that good and getting open. I think if we had Kincaid tonight he would have made difference . Sacks happened because no one had enough separation and Allen had to hang onto the ball. That is a great defence something we will never know about

Not sure why they did not run Allen on 3rd and 1 to get the first. Still had a timeout, either way the receivers are terrible and our O-line was terrible tonight. As for the defence they sucked bad in first half but played well enough to win this game in second half -
Bills and Knicks: very similar story
Niagara Dude replied to Italian Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bill need to move on from McDermott, is 100% at fault for our crappy defence and conversation offence. Need to go find some crappy team looking to just make the playoffs for there first. He is a total fake and terrible game day HC, would have never lasted 3 years total had Allen not arrived and he can take his lying buddy Beaane with him. Just think how stupid Beane is, he actually believes he can win a Super bowl with Rap as his starting safety and no true # 1 receiver. Sorry but Rapp on his best day is a back-up and they let more athletic guys go because Beane like them for his stupid defensive system We need changes before waste all of Allen's prime years and Pats fans laughing at us for wasting opportunities -
Coversative on both sides of the ball, play not to lose and it's been that way since Dabol left and McDermott made sure his offensive cordinator ran the ball and threw short passes McDermott has his cordinator is using Allen like we have Trent Edwards at QB, in years past we would have big chunk plays and scored points which forced other teams into playing catch up and one dimensional Close games do not work well with our defence You mean playing not to lose or conversative on both sides of the ball

Roster Support over the past three years (Beane)
Niagara Dude replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Beane is always in cap trouble because he wastes draft picks and overpays on fringe players he drafted that have just a little bit of talent. There are very few team friendly contracts on this team When Dabol first arrived we got some weapons and became a dominant big play offence, now its all dink and donk -
Roster Support over the past three years (Beane)
Niagara Dude replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
He has regressed because Brady and McDermott prefer throwing passes behind the line and explosive offence we saw with Dabol is long gone. As for McDERMOTT as a great defensive cordinator, he was fired by Andy Reid because he was terrible -
Roster Support over the past three years (Beane)
Niagara Dude replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Beane is a terrible roster builder, it starts with making sure you give your elite QB an elite receiver and that has not happened. He then just overpays on fringe players that he drafted so he does not look bad. How about Basham/Ford and Elam picks? This is not a Super bowl roster and it's time for Terry to sit down with his consultants and make some changes with either getting rid at least one of the 2 that have both been living off of Allen -
This is all on Beane who traded Diggs and has done very little to replace him. I never liked this everyone eats theme, you need to have a guy that can consistently create separation from his defender. I do believe they need to line up Cook as a receiver more because he is our most explosive offensive player who can make people miss and take it to the house more often then not.
-
It was a good trade because he did help some and who cares that we lost a 3rd rounder, that could have easily been another Beane bust pick. I have no issues trading our second and 4& 5th picks to get a receiver and DB help
