Are these sources close to the team or from within the franchise itself?

I was hoping for Sutton last year when the Juedy trade hype was going around. Actually, thinking about it, both were apparently on the market? They just wanted too rich a pick for Sutton. He unfortunately isn’t getting traded. In multiple threads that mention him, people say that Denver are in the playoff mix right now and won’t trade away their only proven guy for Nix to throw to. Yeah, I’m not knocking you for seeing something different. I just didn’t see anything that resembled fine. He made a few plays but that’s going to happen when you’re on the field for 63 plays. The law of averages. It’s what he does the rest of the time. The guy is now down and around the box now that Rapp is back, which is where he is suited, and is just awful at his pursuit and angles. Multiple times he takes himself and a teammate out of the play. First play he has a clear angle to go anywhere that play is happening. Instead he runs directly into the back of a jets OL disengaging. That second play, the Hall run, he doesn’t take away the sideline immediately and force Hall back in. He instead trips himself on a teammate getting blocked then gets swallowed up that stop Bernard, who himself took a poor angle and stumbled on that play, from filling the hole. If he goes immediately sideline Hall is caught for a minimal gain. Third play is absolute PI. Where the flag wasn’t even thrown. (Wouldn’t have mattered as the bal was tipped). Those, again, were all on one drive. He had multiple bone headed moments out of the 60+ snaps on the field. At least you realize he needs to be out of the lineup lol

Im the tragic opposite. I know the record is awful in the playoffs against them but I want us to eliminate them. Divisionals or AFCC. if we beat them I squarely feel everyone in that building will believe they can win a Lombardi.

It’s tough as there’s not much talent that can really be had at the WR position but Diontae Johnson to me is pretty pointless. He plays in that area where Shakir thrives and Samuel used to. Very similar in styles and areas of production. Many posters have said a vertical/boundary option. After last night I’m in absolute agreement. This team can’t get on top of defenses. Once they do, that underneath which is already productive becomes a whole lot more open.

Huh? It was about paying the salary and trading that type of pick. It’s not like you’re trading for him at the off-season where you can get super creative with the finances of him and other players. That portion is pretty much done. Especially for us and those other teams who have little cap room to work with. There wasn’t any knock on trading a 3rd rounder or how talented a player Adams is.

absolutely. but he just seems like that guy who refuses to lose and will do everything he can to win, whether it’s borderline maniacal or not lol. can’t fault it because it’s won us a lot of games when the only top talents he had were very few in comparison to, like you pointed out, the chiefs have had. my only concern is the OLine. it’s spotty play and the interior of it needs some work. not advocating they get rid of these guys as it stands but they need to look at the future. dawkins is getting up there and I think mcgovern is a better guard than C. just mo. look at the Pats for all those years. keep brady upright. you see it now with KC. they have the best interior line play in all of football. close to that cowboys of Collins/Frederick/Martin, then a stud all-pro in Smith @ LT. feels like this regime wants to put all their eggs in one basket in terms of what positions or units to improve instead of balancing it out for the whole roster. That usually doesn’t work for sustained success.

Most people knew it would be them out of the reported teams. They were the only ones who could really eat his salary this year and after. On top of that, clearly the only team ludicrous enough to pay the salary and a day 2 draft pick. Adams is talented, no doubt, but we likely dodged a bullet in having to give up all that.
