  1. Real football starts in a month. Get a W and come home healthy.
  2. 21. Mostly people who have usernames starting with "Pats...". The rest are ditto heads who post nothing Xitter shares. Or wannabe intellectuals who can actually write three sentences, but don't actually understand the words they're typing.
  3. I still remember the NYC Blackout back in the early oughties. The media predicted chaos and anarchy. Instead, NYC walked home from work and went to sleep. The City Is On Edge...what a bull#### corporate narrative.
  4. Someone tell Mike McDaniel's vape pen! ...assuming THC was the only thing in the cartridge.
  5. The absence of shock as and outrage over this guy's murder is...instructive. They whole country is united in aggressively not caring that this dude was murdered. Hell, the Nurse and Dr subreddits had to shut down comments on this event. They were full of jokes in the theme of how three 9mm slugs to the back is a pre-existing condition.
  6. I thought you'd be overjoyed? Russia has flooded the middle east with weapons as an extension of the Soviet Union's dreams of empire. Now their Alawite puppets and Iranian stooges are on the ropes. This is simply the blowback from their failed nation building and endless warmongering. Honestly, the only winners in the Syrian CW are Russia's MIC and the forever war they've been stoking since 2011. Well that, and Putin's Empire would never stomach the shame of losing their colonies in Tartus and Latakia.
  7. Quick update. HTS just took Hama. Hama was supposed to be a well-fortified, Assad regime stronghold, and is one of Syria's four big cities (along with Damascus, Homs, and Aleppo). HTS now controls Aleppo and Hama. HTS is overrunning Syrian Arab Army bases (the Assad loyalists), which have been taken with their armories largely intact. Lots of videos of HTS jihadists dancing on pictures of Putin and Assad in front of rooms filled with AK family assault rifles, boxes of ammo, and racks of MANPADS. HTS also overran a tank training school, so they've got at least 1 T-90 knocking around. There's also video of HTS in possession of Buk family SAM vehicles, Uragan MLRS systems and god knows what else. Apparently, Assad had demobilized a lot of his army four years ago, on account of he thought the war was won, and that Iran and Russia would to the heavy lifting if anything happened. Russian milbloggers are back to gnashing their teeth, as Russian advisors had been trying to "professionalize" the Syrian army for years. Instead Assad demobilized what he didn't like then packed the remaining forces with crooks and bootlickers. This of course is all familiar sounding to us. Below is a video from Syria posted by HTS. SAA are fleeing Hama, and they get chased down, machine gunned and run over by HTS armored vehicles.
  8. It's like someone typed "Defiant statement with patriotic buzzwords" in to ChatGPT and said "Pete, post this on Xitter". DiSantis would be so much better at this.
  9. So why nominate this trainwreck and not somebody like Tom Cotton?
  10. What the hell are Chiefs fans doing worrying about anything? They're a Dynasty. They've got a horseshoe rammed up their ass. The league gargles their nuts. My god. They must have run out of Busch Lite and Crystal Meth or something, it's the only explanation. Maybe Jaxon Mahomes cancelled their favorite strip club?
  11. The Eagles are in white and every Baltimore DB is wearing white gloves and rash guards.
  12. Good on whichever Jags player beat the hell out of that guy. Because unless Pittsburgh catches us on Opening Day, we kick the living ***** out of them.
  13. Still wrapping my head around the fact that Milani has been out for 14 months.
  14. Alright. In a nutshell, and if various OSINTs and other news sources are correct: 1. Aleppo, Homs and Homma have fallen or are falling. Those are all top-5 urban centers in Syria. 2. Assad and his family and allies have skedaddled to Moscow, Europe and the UAE. 3. There is currently a coup in progress, being led by Assad army diehards to seize what's left of the government and form some kind of defense of the Alawite heartland. 4. Assad Army loyalists burned at least one government Arsenal to keep it out of HTS hands. 5. Iranian and Russian forces are evacuating their positions, regardless of their proximity to HTS and the various rebel factions. They are not offering any meaningful resistance to the rebels so far either. 6. All Anti-Assad forces, whether they're rebels, moderates, Islamists, Kurds, US-backed, or Turkey-backed, have gone over to the offensive, Tet-style. 7. There has been no movement of Russian or Iranian forces into Syria to try and save the Assad regime +yet+.
  15. Ok, so Turkey decided now was the time to take a Russian/Iranian proxy off the board.
  16. I don't think the NFL wants Bezos in their club, because they like running their club. Of course they're happy to do business with him and make more money in a second than any of us will make in a lifetime. But I don't think they'll give him a seat at the table.
  17. Looks like the rebel faction HTS (a mishmash of anti Assad rebels and Islamists with loose Turkish backing?) is carving through Assad regime forces and their Russian mercenary backers. They kicked off an offensive earlier this week. It came out of nowhere, and now the web is full of videos of them looting captured Assad regime arsenals, driving captures Russian armored vehicles, and strolling through the streets of Aleppo. Aleppo was taken by Assad eightish years ago and was a symbol of his "inevitable victory". My guess is Turkey unleashed its pet militants to remind Putin that Turkey is the regional hegemon and Should Be Taken Seriously. Putin shot down Erdogan's peace plan in Ukraine, so it makes sense that Turkey would take advantage of Russian weakness now that Russia refused Turkish help. Especially now that Israel gutted Hezbollah and has Iran wimpering in a corner.
  18. This comes from the internet, so of course it's true: Josh Allen's WR corps makes $12 million/year. Tua's WR corps makes over $60 million/year. Take it for what it's worth.
  19. The difference between Lindsey Stirling and Miami is Lindsey Stirling can play.
  20. Miami face adversity like a team that's built on tax breaks, bottle service, and 75 in the shade.
  21. That is outstanding, and more work than I'm willing to put in!
  22. I've done turkey in the oven with bacon on top and stuffing inside. It's great, but crock pot turkey breast is so low hassle and the drippings are one hell of a gravy base. Whisk in some corn starch and butter and you're set.
  23. Not possible fellah. The true spirit of Thanksgiving is found when everyone is passed out in front of a football game by 6pm. We're hosting this year. We're doing two crock pot turkey breasts, mashed potatoes and gravy. Our guests are bringing a charcuterie board, four pies, greenbean and onion casserole, and at least two trays of stuffing. We've got an Loch Lomond 18 on the bar cart for starters and a very nice smoked Australian cheddar to share around.
