I think he was a good player for practices to emulate some opposing players hence reason why he was signed so much and bumped off so much when teams had other needs. With Veteran practice squad availability he may be still playing for a while but should have practiced snapping and kicking to be true emergency utility player.

Guard was not All-Pro when traded. He had potential but lots of players do and never reach it. Hughes got significantly less playing for Texans even considering tax advantages. Have you tried one of the senior centers? I have been to the senior center locally and they play military board games not chess but many of them are still very bright.
