  1. Not for me. It is entertaining, however, to watch the conservatives squirm as they move back to trillion dollar territory.
  2. The reasoning is very straightforward, tax cuts (and spending increases) have widened the deficit, juicing the economy when it is near full employment. If they lead to overheating for an extended period, the Fed will raise rates faster and higher than expected. And the deficit numbers are in: https://www.wsj.com/articles/u-s-government-debt-rises-17-in-fiscal-2018-1539626598?mod=hp_lead_pos4
  3. Almost all business taxes are passed along as a "cost" and therefore influence the price of goods. You are conflating a demand-side collapse with tariffs. The US economy was already collapsing when S-H was passed in summer of 1930.
  4. There was a photo of him being carted to the locker room with Allen.
  5. The line has been ok, but they need it to be better than ok. I think the #1 need is a center to anchor it going forward during the Allen era.
  6. Yes, it's a topic better suited for mid-week, but I'm too disappointed with this outcome and wanted a distraction. Maybe I should've thrown The Two Towers on instead...
  7. Ducasse was carted off with what seemed to be a significant injury. It's time to see what this young buck can do.
  8. If special teams doesn't give up 10 points, th Bills are running out the clock after Peterman throws a TD.
  9. "Unlikely" not won't. They would, but their price is steep because his value is not just based on his "production." He is the heart and soul of the offense, just as Kyle is on D (and the team as a whole). Shady adds a lot more to the O than what his current stats are. He is the only player that requires game planning against. Trading him means you've given up on the season, and no one is ready to admit that. Maybe after the Colts game...
  10. Just saw them do a bit on him during the intermission, and he looks like he's confident that he belongs. Look out!
  11. I agree, this is a game where they will need the passing game to win, as well as get TOs to give them good field position. Maybe they'll finally hit the Allen to Foster connection?
  12. Certainly for Bills' fans, but I'm guessing this is written for a broad audience of NFL fans, most of whom couldn't name the starting LBs of the Bills.
  13. I’m hoping Ryan Lewis can become the guy. He’s very raw, but athletic.
  14. I wouldn't say he's quietly helped the impact; he's been quite noticeable, as evidenced by a couple other threads over the past two or three weeks. Now, if someone could step up and take a hold of the other CB position...
  15. They're getting to the QB more which helps with the TOs.
  16. His most accurate description, "a lumbering offensive line..."
  17. No games are easy anymore, but the next two road games can be had with a little luck.
  18. Holmes cost more to cut than to keep, but the only reason he's still here is ST most likely.
  19. Yeah, that's what I read about him, so hopefully he will play like he wants a good contract next year...
  20. The new Phillips is jumping right into the fire, as is the relatively new swing RT.
  21. I think it was Monday's McD presser where he was visibly angry about the O, but more so about protecting the QB. While he mentioned the O-line, I think he was really pissed about play calls that put Allen in Jeopardy. You want to ruin a young QB, let him get hit and hit and hit until he becomes too frightened to stand in the pocket, as we've seen before. I expect the playcalling going forward will be much more conservative in that respect...
  22. I think they will move on from Clay as well; not enough production for his cost, and I believe his cap # finally makes it doable.
  23. Johnson is strictly a slot CB, so they still need someone on the outside opposite Tre going forward. Ryan Lewis' play is encouraging, and it would be great if he turns out to be that guy.
