Tomorrow will be rough for me. My 94 year old mom has been in and out of hospitals and nursing homes since Sept 3 when she took a bad fall, breaking her pelvis in two places. She has fallen multiple times since then. We host Thanksgiving and are expecting 17 for tomorrow (down from 25 last year). It should be 18, but even with skilled nursing she is falling if she tries to get out of the wheelchair. There are four steps up to our house, and she can’t do that. Even with a wheelchair she has been known to fall in the bathroom. Getting that old sucks. So, tomorrow is not only Thanksgiving, but also my mom’s 95th birthday. We will take turns visiting her in the nursing home, but it will be the first time she has not been able to join us for the holidays. She said she was “not invited” after talking to one of my sisters. I explained it was out of concern for her safety, but it’s still crushing both of our hearts. I’d have paid almost anything to have some skilled care to make this possible, but we were not able to line anything up on a holiday with limited notice since her latest fall.

IDK - it wasn’t me but some old friends had a group of people for Thanksgiving at their first house. They were so proud to be entertaining like adults. They ate early and then settled in to watch football. Before too long they realize everybody has food poisoning……in their one bathroom house. 😱 .

I swear I woke up today thinking this was Thanksgiving Day. The first thing my wife said to me was that she made a shopping list for me. “Are you crazy? Are they even open today???” I’m afraid I overreacted like a typical Bills fan after a loss!

I am a man of tradition and routine! And mostly I want to blame him if we EVER lose again!

This MUST become a tradition! We want photo evidence that this happens for every game, or the next loss is on YOU!

Yeah, hardly a west coast trip, much less Europe. Will Seattle ever play in Munich? I guess only if they pissed off the wrong person.

Didn’t you hear? Good GM’s have Pro Bowlers backing up the All Pros at every position! You can’t be deep everywhere. There is no team in the NFL that doesn’t wish they had a few more players at some positions, especially this late in the season. Nothing and nobody is perfect, but I like where we stand for the most part, even with some shallow positions. For goodness sakes, these clumps of injuries, especially with DB’s, is just dumb luck and we need to fight thru it now, then address it in the offseason. Every offseason. Beane is my guy for doing that!

I won’t name names regarding who fails to do that the most, because I don’t want to get grief in the Karma thread that comes after we play.

I have not been at practice, nor have I sat in on all his meetings with trainers and doctors. Therefore, I have no desire to have a firm yet completely uninformed opinion.

People want to fire the DC, fire the OC, fire the HC…………and some times it comes down to dumb luck. Not saying people don’t have to be accountable, but you can’t start over every year. Look at the team we just played. There is your answer if you are asking how that turns out. .
