  1. Where did you find that game? Did you have it recorded? Is it on YouTube or some other source? I’d enjoy taking a look. Thanks for the encouraging report. I hope he’s a day one starter and stays there a decade plus.
  2. Might be time to thank your lucky stars for what she thinks is attractive! She sounds like a keeper! 😋
  3. Just pointing it out to the people who think we took a TE too high, or he’s a lousy blocker for a TE. I mean, I know he’s a TE, but he’s not really a TE. And yes, I know it’s way too soon but I’m not really thinking 5 years down the road. I’m just trying to highlight the “TE Classification Dilemma” for those who are thinking of the position in the more traditional sense. And yes again, let us hope this is a real issue down the road because he is such an All Pro stud!
  4. Would you happen to have any photos of him sitting at a middle school desk in 8th grade as a 400 pounder? That might require some special engineering. I still concerns me a bit if he can blow up like that, but I hope he stays disciplined for football, and for life. You don’t want to be one of the people on a scooter in the grocery store (oh, the irony!) while still in his 20’s.
  5. I hope we never have to tag him, because it will lead to the obvious question of “what is his position?” He would argue that he’s NOT a TE but a member of the higher paid WR class, and I expect that down the road I will have to agree with him. Jimmy Graham comes to mind. Time will tell. .
  6. He will spend some time in-line next to a tackle, I’m sure, but he will be mostly in the slot. If you have him in the slot he needs to be blocking on every running play. Even the WR’s need to block. You don’t take a play off because the ball is not coming to you. Somebody else has the ball, and you need to keep your guy off of him. You block for the man with the ball, not just Josh. Kincaid seems fine with throwing himself into the mix to do his best, even if it’s not his strength. I loved his attitude and willingness in the clip I saw of him NOT getting the ball. That’s a team guy.
  7. Was it Chris Rock who said “you are only as loyal as your options”? If he can find a better option, we will hear a revised statement. I don’t blame him for anything he has said, but I also know it is subject to change.

    King Charles

I didn’t see a second of it. But my wife had it on around 6:15am so I did get to hear some of it before I cranked up the white noise machine. That fixed THAT!
  9. Including…………..the Random Thoughts thread! I am nothing if not full of random thoughts. I’m still working on coherent thoughts. Always a work in progress. 😋 I have no idea what kind of a fit Simmons might be, but I’m sure Beane & Co are leaving no stone unturned (despite what they say publicly). I’d feel a lot better with someone who has done this before. We have too much talent to waste by leaving a weak spot in the middle of the D to be exploited.
  10. I’m sorry, maybe I should have been more clear. We all know he’s not an every down, in-line blocker. But 90%+ of the time the ball is not going to him. I saw a clip somewhere that showed him getting the ball less than half of the plays. It’s what he did when the ball did NOT go to him that left me impressed by his willingness. Blocking in the run game and down field is an important ingredient. EVERYBODY blocks in the run game, and downfield. He’s game, he just needs some work there for the next level. .
  11. I think we are all trained to think of TE’s as questionable first round value. But the game is changing, and they can be game changing playmakers too as we see here. I’m glad he is at least a wiling blocker, even if it needs some work. The more well rounded you can be, the more dangerous you can be.
  12. Take that thing to a tailgate and get a few bowling ball shots in him. Death will ensue, but you might not like the details. 🤷‍♂️ I was offended at first, but my wife has done a pretty good job of getting me ready to go out in public.
  13. That was great, but I didn’t see the TD catch I was talking about. Maybe I blinked, but they stay on one play for a while so I don’t think I missed it. I’ll look for it later. It shows his flexibility and ball tracking while making it all look SO EASY and natural. He’s not a big stiff, he’s athletic as hell.
  14. We’ll never know what might have happened if the little run on WR’s didn’t take place, but I like having a guy who is a mismatch and can put pressure on a defense. He’s not just another good WR, he’s a different part like a new chess piece. We have a bishop/rook hybrid!
  15. I didn’t watch enough to have an opinion on his hands. People rarely have drops in their highlight reel, so I really like your stats. That’s VERY encouraging. What DID stand out to me on film was how fluid he is and how well he tracks the ball. It’s only one play, but that TD catch in the end zone where he’s looking over the left shoulder, then adjusts to the catch over his right shoulder is only one play, but it was a very impressive one to me. I can’t wait to see this guy in a Bills uniform! I hope Dorsey and the OLine make strides, because we could be even more dangerous going forward. .
  16. It was around that time that he was playing donkey noises endlessly on the radio as I was working in my office. It just would not stop! I got up, walked across the room, and turned Rome off. Forever. It’s sort of a shame, because he does good interviews, but I couldn’t take all of his schtick.
  17. The Jests thought there was something fishy about that delivery. They immediately identified Bill as the culprit, since he is the Dean of the Fishy Department.
  18. Oh, I was afraid to go to the ex. I fear what terrible things I might do wrong if I went down that road.
  19. There are two names who would have immediately screamed Hall of Fame at you, if they only had the drive. I feel like it’s a sad waste of talent, but then it’s not my life.
  20. I’m generally not cheap, but that feels like a stupidity tax I am not willing to pay.
  21. I think my biggest concern with him is his weight. He dropped 17 lbs to get down to 330 LBS? That concerns me over time. Is he one of “those guys”? On the flip side, he doesn’t give up sacks and went all year without a penalty. That sounds like a disciplined guy, and that is encouraging. Let us hope this is a pick we are rejoicing over a decade from now.
  22. It’s not about the signs. They weren’t all exactly $3.25, but not much more than $.05 different. EXCEPT the guy at $3.89, and people are still lining up to buy his gas. That was my point. I asked a friend what he thought of that, and he said he never looked or paid attention to the price. He just pulls in and fills up. But unless you are traveling, don’t you know how high that is?
  23. That’s like finding a bunch of $20 bills in your pants pocket. HEY! I forgot all about that! A pleasant moment, indeed. 😋 .

    RIP Jerry

Because I lived in Cincinnati when I did, and I never saw more than 30 seconds of his show, the personal check thing is my first thought. He also had a place on Bird Key in Sarasota, as a number of celebrities do. There would be sightings all over town. But writing those checks is the first thing I think of. Jerry being Jerry, I doubt he would mind.
  25. I passed by gas stations around us with gas for $3.25 today. I get to the gas station outside our neighborhood and cars are lined up to buy gas for $3.89. I’m not cheap, but I’m not stupid, either. I want to pull in and question these people, which would result in absolutely nothing good.
