I have the Bills 53 man roster right here
HIT BY SPIKES replied to Matt_In_NH's topic in The Stadium Wall
OL has never been a priority to Beane and it has cost our running game (other than Josh) dearly. Some want to blame the Offensive Coordinator for our running game however what is the OC to do when our RBs are met in our backfield too often because our OL simply gets no push to open up running lanes? Then there is the issue of protecting our 1/4 Billion Dollar investment at QB. As effective as Josh has been, could you imagine if he had an above average OL in front of him to give him another 1/2 a second to scan the field or be able to hand the ball off with confidence such that the D has to drop into the box to stop an effective running game? -
Would be costly to trade for an above average NFL RT although I agree 100% on the need for one. What do we have as trade assets other than future draft picks? Beane has his strengths however OL personnel evaluation is not one of them. Trading Teller away is just one example. The contract he gave Bates last year seems to indicate that Beane believes Bates is a starting calibre NFL OL when clearly Bates is nothing more than a useful versatile 6th OL. I fear Beane has not planned properly for Morse’s eventual departure. I appreciate Beane drafting an OL in the 2nd round of this past draft, however Beane has placed too little emphasis on using the resources required to build an above average NFL OL to put in in front of an elite NFL QB.

Outside of MLB, Where are the Bills Worse in 2023?
HIT BY SPIKES replied to jwhit34's topic in The Stadium Wall
To me, the biggest problem area on the Bills remains the OL. RT is a question mark with Spencer Brown's injury and overall development. We filled one of the 2 OG positions with a relatively high draft pick however the other OG position is still not set. Morse is on his last legs. Bates is not a starting calibre NFL OL however he has the position flexibility to come off the bench. I appreciate Dion Dawkins is liked by most Bills fans however, he is nothing more than an average NFL LT. -

Why? Great Body. Very Athletic. Well liked in the locker room. The football instincts of a Pop Warner player. NO way was he worth (to the Bills) the $18M/yr the Bears paid him. What the Bills will miss is NOT preparing in advance for his eventual departure. -
-
It was worth a shot given his size however perhaps it is time to move on by drafting a LT in the first two rounds next year who can start immediately as a RT and move over to LT when it is time for Dion to move on.

THANKS for 25 years of the Stadium Wall, TBD!

W-O-W!!! 25 years. In a previous life, I would have here during the first couple of years. Who was the man back then? Lord of the Gun? -
Name 2 players drafted by the Buffalo Bills in 2022

Alabama's 1DT Jordan Davis Wake Forest's G/C Zak Tom -
The Bills will trade up by trading their 1st round and 3rd round picks and then draft Alabama's 1DT Jordan Davis.
-
Very well said however drafting OL is simply not sexy enough for the average Bills fan. Any fat guy will do for the OL. You can find them at Duff's Anchor Bar or even Gabriel's Gate.

TSW Mock Draft 2.0 Poll - Who should the Bills take at #57
HIT BY SPIKES replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
So tired of this fan crap. A WR in the first round and a RB in the second. I am out children. Ask mom to tuck you in. -
No dreadlocks here. This is me...
-
The LA Chargers are going to move back to San Diego in protest over this draft.
-
The LA Chargers are still willing to trade their entire 2022 remaining draft picks for a 2nd runs pick.

TSW Mock Draft 2.0 Poll - Who should the Bills take at 25?
HIT BY SPIKES replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I NEVER envisioned the Bills trading down rather than up however with NOT one OL listed among the 15 poll options -- WTF? -- I agree with a trade down. -
Idiots

In the real draft they won't.

CRAP!!! 1 hour and 45 minutes in the dentist chaIr on a back molar and now I can't make my Chargers pick. Oh well. I would have taken a 1st and a 2nd and traded back a 4th if necessary to trade down. The Chargers are a solid team with very few needs. Chargers want two rookie OL out of the first 3 rounds and don't have a 2nd round pick. They want to protect their young Franchise QB investment by giving him a rock solid OL. An OL that not only protects the QB and gives him the time to pass however also forces its will to run the ball when the team needs to run the ball late in the game. The Bills look for their OL at the Anchor Bar, Duff's or my personal favourite Gabriels's Gate. A trade down would do that for the Chargers. I like Cross for the Chargers. I don't like him for the Bills. The Bills need OGs and not OTs right now. So unless one of the managers is willing to accept this offer, the Chargers are done until the 3rd round... THE CHARGERS ARE WILLING TO TRADE THEIR 3RD, 4TH, 5TH AND 6TH ROUND PICKS FOR ANY 2ND ROUND PICK IN THIS YEAR'S DRAFT
-
Just so potential trade partners know what the Chargers intend to do at #17 if there is not a trade down, there is only the Jets pick before the Chargers pick and WRs Williams, Olave and Wilson are still undrafted. Justin Hubert needs targets more than Josh Allen does, so the Chargers will simply draft one of the WRs that remain after the Jets pick. So if you covet one of those WRs, I suggest you package your 1st round draft pick along with your second round pick and make an offer quickly. Yes, other offers have already been made to the Chargers for the #17 pick.
-
Take your time with the pick Jets. I have a dentist appointment at 10:00 AM ET and would love to wait until after the appointment to make the Chargers pick to allow as much time as possible to make a trade down.
-
Given the Chargers have no 2nd round draft pick due to their previous trade with Chicago for Mack, they will patiently wait until the last possible second for a trading partner to trade down from the 17th overall pick. Why wppete would give a thumbs down to my simple post announcing the Chargers desire to trade down is unclear. Then again, I don't post here very often and couldn't really give a crap why. Use your words if you are capable. The Chargers are open for business.
-
Tru dat. Then there will be those here who wouldn't dream of trading the Bill's "Defence QB". Not sure what Edmunds they are watching but I respect their opinion even if I don't agree with it. If I am the Bills, I make that trade if Jordan Davis is still on the board and then I draft a MLB in the 2nd round. No more decision to extend Edmunds. Star is replaced. I see it as a win-win.
-
OK. That eliminates the Bills being a trade partner because the Bills have no GM. I was attempting a feeler offer in advance to the whole polling board here. Obviously, the Chargers are open for business.
-
Virgil, if I understand the 3 hour rule and the current late time, given the Chargers want to trade down, I will be making my draft pick tomorrow hoping for that offer you can't refuse trade offer.

Charlie Campbell of WalterFootball's current mock draft: 17. Los Angeles Chargers: Jordan Davis, DT, Georgia The Chargers could stand to upgrade their run defense, which Davis would do instantly. He would be an asset to plug the line, eat up blockers, and let the linebackers run free. In the pass rush, Davis could help absorb blockers to create more one-on-one opportunities for Jerry Tillery. Some league sources are extremely high on Davis, but I also know some area scouts who were not projecting him to the first round if he had entered the 2021 NFL Draft and have some concerns that he might be a one-trick pony for the NFL. The 6-foot-6, 340-pound Davis is a mountain of a man with unique speed and athleticism. Team sources compare him to Albert Haynesworth and John Henderson. Davis had an excellent game against Clemson to open 2021. He was a beast at the point of attack and led the Bulldogs' tremendous run defense against the Tigers. Davis notched three tackles and a sack, but the numbers don't illustrate how big of a force he was for Georgia. He recorded 30 tackles and two sacks in 2021. In 2020, Davis collected 16 tackles and one sack. He had 2.5 sacks and 18 tackles as a sophomore after recording 25 tackles and 1.5 sacks during his freshman season. https://walterfootball.com/draft2022charlie_1.php
