  1. I'm thinking of starting a "Holmes was a great signing" thread. Will one of you kind gentlemen take a quick look and make sure we don't have any of those yet? Sheesh... Here's a tip for the refugees: If you see a story on the web about the Bills that is more than two minutes old, one of our prolific posters (26CornerBlitz, YOLO, etc) have already created a thread about it and your thoughts on the subject should go there.
  2. Accepted. You're a great poster and I enjoy your comments and insights always.
  3. I believe that he was responding to H2O, not you. I don't want to hijack this thread away from it's original intent of talking about a WR, but I would like to side with you about the casual use of the "R" word on this board. My son is autistic and I see the struggles he, and we as his family, deal with daily. I wouldn't want anyone dismissing him with a callous word. I guess some people haven't experienced having a loved one with developmental delays, but please know that that word is hateful. The English language is full of other colorful options that can make the same point without offending whole segments of the population.
  4. Holmes just tweeted that he hasn't signed with Bills.
  5. I like this signing. He was buried in Oakland, should be a great red zone target.
  6. Here's a good look at what players are excelling and are expected to be chosen at the top of the draft. Nolan Patrick has held the top spot all year despite being injured, but the kid from Switzerland has gained some ground. http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/juniors/sportsnets-2017-nhl-draft-prospect-rankings-january/
  7. The stadium in OP hasn't seen an abundance of concerts, but there have been some iconic ones. This pic is of the late Richard Manuel, taken by Walt Casey, Jr at the stadium in 1974, when The Band opened for Eric Clapton. What's your vote for best concert ever at the home of the Buffalo Bills?
  8. Every other Buffalo kid doesn't have an uncle that is in the HOF and is regarded by a large segment of the fanbase as the greatest player in team history. Every other kid from WNY doesn't have a litany of off-the-field issues with reports suggesting that there may be even more red flags that haven't been made public. Chad Kelly seems to be the last vestige of the old, "Let's bring in (Kelly, Tasker, Bennet, Smith, etc) as coaches to lead us back to the glory days," mentality. Don't forget that just this past fall the kid came back here to watch his brother's high school game and couldn't keep his emotions in check. He has all the talent in the world, but the maturity of a toddler perpetually mired in the terrible twos. It would be a bad bet for the Bills to roll the bones on Chad Kelly.
  9. Both Lori and Cablelady are on FB with me. Both doing well and still making keen observations about the Bills.
  10. I think it's on the Dumont network. Some rabbit ears and tinfoil should do the trick.
  11. Don't know how much he will help, but his name is right out of Tecmo Bowl.
  12. D.C. Tom is on the road as the one and only groupie for Rebecca Black. He's know for ordering drinks with the phrase, "It's Friday somewhere."
  13. If Eichel had played the entire year he would be in the top 7 scorers in the league. He is playing better than the much hyped duo of Matthews and Laine. His ability to control the puck and feather a beautiful pass was on full display in last night's gwg. https://www.nhl.com/sabres/video/kanes-go-ahead-power-play-goal/t-277437090/c-50261003
  14. INteresting thread.
  15. This is bang on. Brady is turning 40 this year. Let that sink in for a moment. I know that he has belied all other players at his position by playing so well at such an advanced age. But the fact of the matter is that time will take its toll on him much sooner rather than later. Can't wait to enjoy the pain and suffering of all of those Chowderheads when that happens.
  16. Yes, it was the last time I didn't hang down into the water. (Ba-dum-ba)
  17. This may be posted in here somewhere, but a pretty good recap of the Bills moves so far and where they stand with the salary cap. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/buffalo-bills-nfl-free-agency-2017/2017/3/10/14880926/buffalo-bills-free-agency-salary-cap-reset-micah-hyde
  18. The mascot definitely had Native American roots. He was called the Saltine Warrior and was retired in 1978 after local Indian leaders protested to the university. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otto_the_Orange
  19. Seems like the most reasonable way to go about it. Bravo.
  20. Wasn't throwing you all under the bus. I think that most of the newbies, including you two, have been great additions.
  21. Since the refugee boats hit our lagoon there has been a noticeable uptick in Hot Take threads doomed before the "Post New Topic" button is even pushed. Rather than take up legitimate thread space I thought it might be a good idea to place all of the inane meanderings in one place. Here's your chance at the spotlight: What is your Bills Hot Take?
  22. Happy Birthday LewPort71. For his birthday, Mrs. Lewport said, "I want you to climb up those stairs and make wild, passionate love to me." To which L-P71 replied, "Both?" Many happy healthy more, my Bills brother.
  23. I really feel bad for Aaron. His post-football plan was to become a rodeo bucking-bronc rider (no kidding). Probably the only profession more prone to concussions than pro football. Hope retirement is the choice he makes.
  24. Good luck Bobby Woods. Will miss you, you were a pro's pro here in Buffalo.
