This game just showed that Tyrod is not the #1 problem
Manther replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Slightly agree. I think TT would do better in a system that threw the ball more. I think TT would do better in a system that was more of today's NFL (which suprisingly? works well in the NFL). But, that is just my opinion. I think most QBs would do worse in the current outdated system the Bills run on offense. I think the system handcuffs the QB and once again plays not to lose instead of to win. -

MAJBobby.....I am unsure on TT. Some of his issues I don't think are correctable. I think if the coaching and/or system was different TT would do better. But, that is just my opinion. I think with Marrone (I know Marrone didn't coach TT, but, these last two HCs share many issues that drive me crazy) and Rex (and their staffs) they both play not to lose the game (old school thoughts that don't work now). I hate that approach. With those approaches I believe their play calling is too conservative and isn't beneficial to the QBs and handicaps them during the games finding rythyms and their long term improvements. So, I think with a different staff, TT would be better. Is he the answer, probably not. But, I think he has the ceiling to be the 10-15th best QB in the NFL. Will he get there, not sure. I also think he is worth keeping if there isn't a better option. I am more focussed on fixing the long term issues. QB is not the issue IMO. Russ Brandon will stay and I think that is a HUGE problem. I am fine with Whaley, but, if we clean out everything and Whaley goes, so be it. Rex is a huge problem and the FO structure. Just my thoughts. -

MAJBobby....sometimes I agree with you on some things. But, the thread is about TT not being the largest problem. I think we can agree TT is not the largest problem...no? -

12-26: Eric Wood and Rex Ryan Media Sessions

Agreed and agreed. Russ Brandon isn't getting fired... as soon as he was given more responsibility with the Sabres.....He was staying. I believe it's very possible -
Buffalo Bills - Dan Carpenter + Justin Tucker = Playoffs
Manther replied to trigger's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Its really not. So, if we had Tucker instead of Carpenter we would be in the playoffs? We have better players than last year and we are still a poor team. A good player playing for Rex doesn't mean they will still be a good player. -
No I am not giving back my 2014 Christmas gift.

Matt Moore is a top back up IMO. Worst QBs start than Matt Moore in the NFL too.

Bills should finish with 4th highest scoring offense...
Manther replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That was exactly my next thought I think the comment was, that many points, a weak schedule and still a poor overall record. -

+1 Rex will not be fired on Christmas. I was to get that for Christmas. But, maybe on Boxing Day? -
A Rex Apologist Says Enough
Manther replied to WhitewalkerInPhilly's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed Sounds almost like a prevent and that helps to..... run the clock? -
I understood that a bit too. It also sounded to me, that if for someway the Bills get in the playoffs (which they think is almost impossible) Rex may stay. Otherwise, the are dissappointed and he is gone.

Jerry Hughes and more Rex support (sorry)

Maybe we should give Rex the GM and HC reigns and go extremely, fully pregnant!? -
Keep Rex, Fire Whaley....... by a 36 Year Bills Fan
Manther replied to coldstorage5's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Coldstorage5, the original poster, seems to be suggesting keep Rex because he is .500 and he has assemble a good roster. And, to fire Whaley. Keep the HC and Fire the GM because the roster is good. Hmmmm. Not tackling the .500 thing other than our schedule has been very Bills friendly the last 30 games. With our schedule the last two years we should have been 10-6 twice and that includes playing the Pats 4 times. We have played the 3 worst divisions these two year....squandered opportunities. -
Shady & Lorax and other Pro Bowlers
Manther replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Apples and oranges. Rex can coach up players that barely should be in the NFL, but, can't coach up stars!? How about putting the players in positions to succeed and WIN games. Or stop opposing teams instead of tricking them with how much smarter he is than everyone. -
His innovative Wild Cat? That he learned fro Rex and has many similar ideals? He wants to be the only running team in the passing league? If a player gets hurt you change the game plan?

Shady & Lorax and other Pro Bowlers
Manther replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed! Good for them! Question, how many pro bowlers did we have in 2014? PS. Coaching doesn't matter? -
Agreed!! Our schedule was just as weak last year. Both years should of been playoffs with average coaching. People who believe in Rex and don't get this I question their logic. Furthermore, the folks who just read the above and dismiss it..... I ask, "really"? What am I missing?

Watch Rex really close. I think he has been already told.
Manther replied to Iraq Vet's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Rex is back next year I may watch about half the games. If you call that being back from breathing Bills 24-7....I am in. Who benefits from Rex being fired..... 1. The Bills 2. The players 3. The fans Who doesn't... 1. The current staff minus the new scapegoat? You get more than two years if you are capable of coaching in the NFL. There are grey areas. What coach says I am not going there because I am not good enough to coach out my contract? Rarely coaches coach their whole contract. What candidate says Rex had this thing going well and can't believe he was let go? People watch games and can tell well coached from poorly coached. Continuity is for things going well or at least not bad or in the wrong direction. If there was any chance for this man child to turn this around I would say..... continue. But, IMO there is zero chance Rex has the skill AND doesn't care to put the effort in to do so. Pegulas paid over a billion for the team. Hundreds of million to run it annually....if you think he is keeping Rex, IMO, that's crazy. I am 100% confident Rex is being let go....or, I will lose all faith in the ownership. Agree to disagree. People make mistakes...leaders correct them. Not being able to compete against above .500 teams isn't success. Not beat, but, compete! Do you enjoy watching knowing we can't beat a good team? We will not beat the Fish. Do they watch the games?
