  1. Also, ppl quoting his lack of big wins for both years and against playoff teams. He doesn't get credit for beating Jets twice because didn't make playoffs but didn't make playoffs because Bills. Jets were 10-3 with Fiz (he got injured against Oakland), so #1 pretty good he beat Jets twice especially last game when defense was crazy injured and #2 Pats can lose to them last year and almost this year but biggest embarrassment in the world when Rex loses????
  2. Clearly done bad job-just curious is this based on record or defense??? What record should this team have? Would you be happy if they had beaten the steelers but lost to the rams? I think this team is about .500 with their talent and injuries. You think they're way above that?
  3. According to people who actually look at film and understand defense (unlike 99% of posters here including myself) he has made the defense more simple this year because Bills cant handle too complicated. Last year he tried to incorporate his style with 4-3 to help players (unlike every1 who says he tried to force 3-4 completely) and was too complicated. With regard to injuries, their top and highest paid defensive player has been out half the season. Their best safety is gone. Also, Corbin Bryant is gone and Hughes has been playing hurt. Either way no Mario (washed up anyways), Dareus out half the year, Hughes injured, Aaron Williams gone,-DOES NOT ADD UP TO #4 DEFENSE ANYMORE-GET OVER IT. And the players doing well Lorenzo and ZBrown are castoffs from other teams which he should also get credit for. Get more guys like that, and get rid of losers like Mario and Dareus (won't happen but not good to have him as your highest and best defender-obviously good but cant be relied upon) and the defense will be better. Rex had great defenses with Jets. even last year with Jets when had worst secondary in the league he was competitive against tough schedule. You were coming off 9-7 season and your coach and Qb quit. Greatest strength of team was d-line which contains two 30 year olds who got injured/washed up and pothead. Your best safety has been injured last two years. Lost your best linebacker. And had no first round pick. (not to mention this years was out half season and second rounder gone). You should be happy with 7-7. If he didn't bring in Tyrod and Incognito it could be worse!!!
  4. Hughes just posted he has had hamstring injury since September. This makes sense as had 4 sacks in first 4 games and 2 since. So to recap this great 4-3 defense that Rex inherited has one dline gone (not that he's good anymore regardless of scheme and he's not a winner), and one injured/suspended for half the season and the other one playing hurt. Plus your two linebackers that are good are castoffs from other teams and Rex has them playing well, but for some reason only Doug Whaley gets credit for this. You ever consider Preston Brown isn't that good without 4 monsters in front of him. (Side point what happened to Corbin Bryant-he's injured right?) Don't have to get into safeties which is obvious. Your number one receiver has either missed time or played injured the entire season and your #2 is clearly injured now, not to mention the rest of the banged up receivers. Yes, the defense should be better (and maybe will be with more of his type players) but the team is .500. This is not even close to worthy of being fired. Lastly, related to the 2014 team he inherited- 9-7 DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY MEAN YOUR TEAM IS ON THE RISE!!! It's not given you will have playoff birth next season. Cardinals were 13-3 last season. How they doing with same coach. What about Redskins? These are teams that kept their same coach. And kept their quarterback. And had a first round pick. And they all "regressed." If this team was so well set up do you honestly think Marrone would have bailed??????? You can post I'm not a real Bills fan (that's accurate as once you fire Rex I will hate Bills) but please if you want to respond disagreeing with me, then actually respond to the points of why this team would be much better without Rex.
  5. Haha I think I am the only one that actually became a Bills fan while he's coach. There are Jets fans who do agree with me he's awesome and got bad deal with Geno and Sanchez.
  6. I know bad Qb kills your team. That's why I'm Rex fan. He went to two championship games with bad Qbs and went 8-8 with Geno. But he had 4 years of building. Rex has never had that. Had to take over teams in the middle and then was fired during rebuild with terrible GM who didnt spend any money like Jags have. Even in last year of Sanchez when had Sanchez throwing to Clyde Gates and Revis injured went 6-10. Rex wins with bad Qbs-at least around .500. Bradley was 14-48!!!!
  7. Jacksonville has had top five draft picks five years in a row. Plays in an easy division. Spent a lot of money in free agency. People are going to be lining up for that job. With Watkins injured Bills have one of the worse receiving corps in league. With Darues not playing (and not even mentioning Hughes injury) and six safeties hurt this team is not that much more talented than Jaguars. And McCoy missed Pats loss, and was injured vs Dolphins. Darby out vs Oakland=bad secondary. Kyle out vs Steelers=not so great front seven. This team is not superbowl team.
  8. Comparisons based on what. Rex went to two conference championship games with mark Sanchez. Went 8-8 with rookie Geno and no receivers. Taking over injured, old defense that doesn't fit his scheme-agree would be better with Schwartz but not dominant. Please-say he should be fired but comparing him to Bradley is not rooted in any facts.
  9. Can argue talent but that's not 2-12 roster. People picked playoffs and haven't had injuries Bills had. Jaguars in points are 28,26,31,28. I know his defense better this year but IT'S HIS 4TH YEAR. didn't improve it for 4 years?????? And by the way, just came out Hughes has been playing injured since September. Rex has not had players for his scheme. I agree not good fit for him. but this Gus Bradley argument is ridiculous. 14-48. top five in draft 5 YEARS IN A ROW.
  10. Gus Bradley was 14-48. Are you kidding me. Jacksonville has talent. Rex went 8-8 with Geno and Kerley. How has Marrone done more? He went 15-17. Rex will be at least that. This team with injuries/suspensions is not more talented than Marrones teams and main reason for Marrone doing well was Schwartz's Defense.
  11. You know why Rex got one more year???? Because he went 8-8 with Geno Smith at quarterback and Jeremy Kerley as his number one receiver. That team should've been 0-16. The next year they went 4-12 against tough schedule with even worse cornerbacks than year before. The Jets needed just needed to fire their coach, bring in new Qb, new number one receiver, new d-lineman, new left guard, new #1,2,3 Cb and new starting safety. And they still lost to Bills twice and in week 17 lost to Bills that were missing most of their defense. I look at coach and see if his team severely underperforms talent level. Is this team much better than 7-7 team?
  12. 30 other teams are forced to play without Tom Brady. Dareus is your highest paid defensive player. Watkins is two first round picks. And Bills were missing McCoy against Pats. Just saying that if Pats get Brady excuse then there other injury excuses or talent excuses because other teams aren't as lucky to have Brady on their roster.
  13. Dareus, Watkins and awil are huge injuries. Dareus is your best Defender and Watkins is tied for best offense. And Shady has been out some games. Not saying excuse but don't minimize them. Also, why does it work both ways. Injuries not an excuse but when Buffalo shuts out New England when 3-0 without Tom Brady it's meaningless?
  14. They were up by 15 in third against Oakland. Also were missing Darby that game so I am sure that affected gameplan. also, for as bad as Steelers was they gave up 27 but also returned INT to 8 yard line so really only gave up 24/20 points overall on D and if Tyrod has better game maybe they win. Also, Im sure their gameplan against Steelers was based on stopping the run with help of Kyle and he got injured two days before. Not saying excuse for loss but with healthy team I really think they could compete against good teams. They competed against Seattle and Baltimore also. They'd probably get blown out by New England but if they plated KC, AFC South Winner, or Baltimore/Pitt would have a chance. Also, Rex lost 45-3 to new England and then beat them in the playoffs. Not gonna get in so irrelevant but when healthy they would have a chance against most teams. Also, not sure why manhandling bad teams is so easily dismissed. Houston barely beat Jacksonville, Pitt barely beat Cinci, Baltimore barely beat Phili. Miami barely beat SF and Rams earlier this year. (Baltimore was once down 20 to Cleveland I think). If Buffalo wins against bad team if its close then its so easily dismissed for some reason.
  15. Yea with quarterbacks like Mark Sanchez, Geno Smith, and Tyrod Taylor I cant figure out why he cant beat good teams on a consistent basis. If he had Tyrod and Jets would never have been fired, that's why so frustrating hasn't had success with this defense. His defense not good fit with these players.
