Never underestimate the Bills taking a cornerback in the first round. It's what they do.

I actually like the Holmes signing more than most. He is a nice value pickup. Davis seems like a luxury pick to me. If the Bills wanted WR or TE they could get a Godwin or Samuel in rounds 2 or 3 and still hit on a Ishmael Zamora type in round 5.

Agree that Thomas is gone and Davis will probably be there. The issue I have is that I would assume McDermott would want defense more than a #2 WR or #2 TE. So maybe Leroi has the scout's opinion but it will go down differently. If that is their board and they are gung-ho on not taking a QB I would definitely prefer a trade back. None of those players seem better than what can be had at 20.

If that board is in order then the pick is either Corey Davis or Marshon Lattimore. Thomas will be gone and I expect Davis to be there. Bills are bad at valuing QB's properly.

I thought the Bills were installing McDermott's defense and not Leslie Frazier's Tampa 2? If we go Tampa 2 then the WLB becomes much more important than if we are running McDermott's D he ran in Carolina.

Sure, everyone needs to find people that they like. As I said, I don't need rankings so much as information. If I really like a prospect I can watch every play they made on my own. Waldman fits the bill for that requirement while explaining stuff he sees. Waldman also started bringing in Mark from Inside The Pylon which I liked as you have two different guys talking to each other and figuring out a player.

You don't sign a guy you need for one year with 8.5 million cap hit if he is released. Terrible contract. Most fans are looking at only cap hit year 1.

It makes sense to let him go and take the pick if you are rebuilding. Bills also paying a bridge QB 30 million over 2 years with 8.5 dead cap if they release next year. Bills have no plan. They are just doing random things.

I'm with you my friend. Unfortunately, Bills don't put a lot of thought, time, or resources into the QB position. John Murphy trying to sell the don't even try to draft a QB strategy today. They're getting the fans in the right mindset to accept mediocrity.

I was told that all QB coaches are the same. Bills State Radio trying to sell us on Cardale Jones. What a surprise. And they mention how many busts there are at QB but don't mention Bills greats such as Maybin, McKelvin, Whitner, etc
