    We are in agreement that they should hire a great hockey and great football mind. The issue I have with the czar game is you end up choosing over the hill dinosaurs who became famous for a different skillset needed than the current job.

    I don't care about credibility. Being a great coach doesn't make one a great president or GM.

    I am not worried about next year. But if we pick a bad GM (and based on Pegulas track record very possible) Jack will be on his way to Boston or New York.

    Look at Jacksonville. Coughlin is the puppet master. If we had hire Polian he would have installed his son as GM.

    No, I believe teams have 7 years of control of draft picks. Eichel has spent 2 years here. So in 5 years if we are still bad he will leave. He will be 25 years old and in his prime.

    Correct. If he's can't miss Bills don't get to draft him. Bills need to pull the trigger on a very good QB prospect, waiting for perfect is a recipe for failure.

    Buffalo's hockey team is now an NHL laughingstock. If the Pegula's hire another incompetent we will lose Jack Eichel. And I think that would be the final straw for me.

    I wanted an Offensive Mastermind/ QB Guru. Jim Bob Cooter or Kyle Shanahan. The Bills had met with Shanahan the year before but didn't like him personally. Yeah, genius isn't always friendly.

    Murray got stuck with the worst coach in the NHL who was hired by the Pegulas. Watch Bogosian bounce back next year.

    Except that never happened. Media asked him a question and took his response out of context. Murray was criticizing the process of the lottery and having to sit through it.

    Don't forget that Tim Murray's worst draft was 2014. He only had a few weeks to get ready for it and no time to get his staff in place. The GM is not a one man show. Murray ended up drafting a goalie he had never seen play in 2014.

    Murray was hired just before the 2014 draft and it sucked as he didn't have people in place. Expect another crap 2017 draft from the Sabres.
